The Valley of Ends

((She's in a cell, I don't think melee attacks will reach her))

Can Fingolin say if that was an attack, or an 'involuntary feature' of the ghost?

You saw it's face, that's all. 

Resfaen's attack is unable to reach through the bars of the cell. She simply looks at Resfaen's axe.

"So you are his executioner for his lies? You are a too late for that," She speaks in elvish , "As you can see, I have already died, deprived of food and drink. It did not take long," She floats up just out of Resfaen's axe reach in the cell almost as to mock her.

(I'm assuming non elvish speakers are being told what she said by elvish speakers)

Fingolin approaches and lays a hand on Resfaen's shoulder. He says to the ghost:

"We are no one's executioners, we are just on edge because we do not understand what this place is. But who do you speak of? Is it Ergion Valeworm? Is he your captor?"

"The mad man, Ergion. He is a insane fool. Let mad accusations against me. Like I could kill anyone but to tell him otherwise, it would have been wiser to convince a fish to walk on land. He claims he would let my people put me on trial but day after day he just became more insane, keeping me here instead of bring me back to my people. Obsessed with his unholy enemies, using this place as a base to strike at them. He would come and tell me his plans, of the great glory that awaits him until he stopped coming and I died," She spits out with a lot of venom. 

"I am sorry this happened to you. Truly. No one deserves to die like this." Fingolin says, looking at the cage and the rotten bed. "You know, what we've seen of this place is a mess. It doesn't look like Ergion has been around for quite some time. He might be dead. So... what keeps you here? Is it magic? Are these bars enchanted?"

Resfaen is visibly shaken listening to the words of this undead heathen, "Talk with this thing if you must, I will hear none of it." And then she will go out of the room to stand guard.

"Ergion still lives if you call what he has become living. As for why I am here, this place keeps the dead here. There is no way to where our spirtis can rest so spirits lingers here. He believed this special trait of the manor would stop the army of hells and abyss from coming back to life but he was mistaken," She explains, "IF you want more information, I want you to swear to me after you killed him to bury my bones under a tree. I know the lands beyond are not my home but a tree is home to me,"

Fingolin translates to try to get agreement from everyone. If no one objects, he says: "That is the least we can do, lady. I am Fingolin, and these are my companions.", he presents everyone. "What should we call you?"

Fingolin offers to translate any questions anyone might have and keeps his own questions for later.

"Lady Temariel," she replies. 

Salys nods his approval to Fingolin, but keeps his eyes on the hallway, listening to the translations.

"Fine with me." Gotch says, also still out in the hall.

The quiet is quite awkward as Fingolin waits for questions to translate and none along.

"It appears we have an agreement, Lady Temariel. What can you tell us about Ergion to help us defeat him? And do you know a way out of this place?"

"He is a fallen paladin. While he has lost his way and lost his mind, these were not diminished his combat ability. You know what your paladin lady can do but stronger and higher grade. In his madness, he spoke of minions he can summon to do his bidding as well. Be careful of the manor itself, it can present it's own difficulties," Lady Temariel explains. 

"Do you know what he fears, or what he hates? A way to make him come to us? That way we might prepare an ambush."

"Ambush when he controls the manor? He can shift the manor around? The fact he has not ambushed you shows he does not regard you as a danger. In older days, a fiend would be enough to provoke him but in his mad state, I do not know,"

"We'll have to be careful, then. Thank you. Do you prefer we collected your bones now, or after we defeat Ergion? Do you know how we can get out afterwards?"

She looks down to the beach rusted lock,"I think my bones are best laid after you have dealt with him,"

Salys listens to the conversation, "Sounds like he's somehow responsible for the random spirits that brought us here. Shall we continue?"

"They are ones he has killed over the years but he does not allow them to go the place beyond so their spirits linger outside the manor but within this space," she adds in.
