On the surface, an awesome purple light show of various hues catches your attention as you navigate the star's surface in an effort to descend further below, a task alone that your mind can barely wrap your heads around. About 10,000 miles away, a colossal wave of burning gas rolls towards you - threatening to shatter the shields protecting you from instantly vaporizing. ****! Here it comes!
Avoiding the wave is impossible, and there is a chance your shield breaks.
Everyone needs to make two saves: DC45 STR save to take half of 2d5000 damage, and a DC40 CON save to not have the shield break. If you fail this save you are instantly vaporized as your sole mode of protection fails.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alright, let's see if Father's lucky today...

His luck as run out and when his protection fails him, he gives one final look to Dia and Tora, saying, "You better survive this." before being fully vaporized.

You soon realize you're sinking into the core. Pure white light surrounds you now, as does a rumbling sound so deep that you feel it more than hear it. As you go deeper, the rumbling gets louder and higher in pitch. After a while, you notice that things colored red grow darker in color. It's as if they're fading to black. Orange items look yellower and purple items turn blue. As you descend further, the orange fades to black too. The light around you takes on a strong yellowish green tint.
The gas inside the star is growing hotter and is producing shorter wavelengths of radiation. Longer wavelengths at the red-orange end of the spectrum disappear, as a result, items that reflect those wavelengths end up black, absorbing all wavelengths. As you descend deeper you find the solar radiation shifting higher up the spectrum. The light grows green, then blue, and everything that isn't blue or violent grows black. Thousands of miles down below, you can see nothing but violet light. Since you both know nothing of light wavelengths, all of this is very eerie to you both.
During your journey down, you notice occasional pillars of shadow resting on dense patches of plasma. You realize that the pillar are huge tentacles carved out, housing hundreds of eldritch creatures that float around them. Some of them watch as you descend. As you gaze around, you see that they are everywhere. All you can hear is the deafening roar of the star.
What you're passing through now as you descend further is denser than solid rock. Overhead, a 400,000 mile deep sea of gas presses down on you. Nothing but the Umbral shield is protecting you. Outside the shield is boiling whiteness. Then, you bump into the black core of the star and in a moment are sucked into it, into the unknown, into the oblivion of something beyond space and time.
(What you are about to read is the best representation of what your mind is "seeing" and "processing". While mortal, a creative liberty will have to be taken and assumed as you are definitely no longer in any time, space, or dimension that would or could possibly make any sense to you at this moment in time. Your imagination will have to be used!)
THE SHADOW EMPIRE
You stand before the beginnings of a vast ancient city in some sort of desert, as if the core of the Umbral star was actually some sort of dimensional habitat. Yet, you can't tell if you're in the core any longer - you feel no heat from the star, you are no longer shielded, and the sky is a horrible red and purple dawn, like the last day before a terrible annihilation. The ground seems solid at your feet. The air is still, and the deafening rumble of the star has ceased. The only thing you can hear are the sounds of a civilization beyond this reality.
The city ahead consists of ancient structures and towers made of pure black stone, runes are carved along nearly every inch, and terrible eldritch horrors populate it in numbers you couldn't possibly count. Pyramids and obelisks litter the vast city in totality, and in the background, hiding about a fourth of the sky from the ground, is the most terrifying thing you've ever seen in your life. It can only be explained as a upright elongated multi-eyed eldritch octopus-like entity with tentacles slowly writhing, towering over the city like a mortal over an ant. It's surface contains countless reptilian eyes - they all move independently of each other. Its skin is pitch black and featureless. It's shape mutates and undulates, the eyes of orange and red seeing all. It is so large it is impossible to tell just how titanic it is from this vantage point.
As you gaze upon an Elder God, you can still feel you are being tested. Even now.
COME, MY CHOSEN. YOU HAVE TRAVELED FAR. AS YOU PROVE YOUR WORTH, WITNESS THE FATE OF YOUR WORLD. BEHOLD, THE ONE WHO SHALL HERALD IT'S COMING.
THE BLACK EMPRESS The Black Empress is one of the many Heralds of Umbra - avatars of the Elder God to perform it's bidding across time and space, corrupting and destroying worlds. In the sky, a rift opens, and Aetharis is shown from space - a shadow ridden planet suffocating under the throes of Darkness. Like an infection, the Darkness spreads at a rapid pace, destroying all life on the planet. You realize that if you wish to proceed further, the Black Empress must be defeated. Whether you chose to save your world or not, is up to you.
The Black Empress is a female drow warrior of unknown origin. You recognize her from earlier in your journey - but this time, appears much more menacing and powerful. She is wearing black armor and appears to be fluent in magic that would rip that fabric of reality in half. In her hand is a huge pole arm. Her helmet allows her white long hair to flow freely. She slowly approaches.
"Come. It was been a while since I enjoyed the challenge of testing a Chosen. Defeat me, and you may pass."she declared.
Defeat her in three rounds and save your world. She even lets you attack first.
Dia starts by dropping Maddening Darkness. Dark smoke envelops the Empress and surrounds her with gibbering shrieks.
As long as the Empress is within the darkness, she must make a DC 49 Wis ST or take 37 psychic damage, half on success.
If she fails that ST, Dia will use Commanding Obedience.
Whenever a hostile creature you can see within 30 feet of you fails a saving throw due to a spell of 1st level or higher that you control, you may command that creature to kneel. On that creature's turn, it must face you, then kneel and end it’s turn. While kneeling, the creature is considered prone. If the creature is immune to the prone condition, then the creature just ends it’s turn.
Dia also uses Brand of the Deceiver's Guile. The Empress must make a DC 49 Int ST or subtract a d6 from all attacks she rolls against Dia.
