The mage smiles wide and places a hand on his robed hip, strokink his beard. His head is facing the wall, but he begins eyeing you with a side glance and a smile.
Baxthon stares at the letters for a moment. "If i read the letters from left to right.." He looks at the left wall. "R and A" He looks at the floor. "Y and G" He looks at the right wall. "U and N"
Baxthon scratches his buttless behind, then realises its missing, and goes to stand with his back against the wall in embarrassment. Then continues in an annoyed voice.
"Putting these letters together makes a Raygun.. Does that mean anything to you? Maybe we are missing some letters? Or maybe we need a mage to shoot rays at something.."
As soon as you speak the words "Ray Gun", just that appears in your hand. Its sleek, snd shiney. Theres evenly polished silver metal on the outside snd blue matte metal accents on the inside lines, just around the green glowing powercore of the gun an the handle.
Baxthon looks at the weapon in confusion.. "So eh.. Do any of you know how to use one of these? Im not much for these gadgets, my steel is all i need."
Baxthon will leave the gun to anyone who wants it.
(Baxthon is an old blacksmith, his craft is all he knows, and this thing is completely alien to him) "Well it is made of steel, so maybe i can melt it into a nice sword or something.."
Oh? The doors? They have been locked since you entered.
He begins to laugh, quietly at first then louder, until he is nearly out of breath. He regains composer and wipes his eye.
We have only just begun to play!
He gallops forward, mimicking a horse. He looks foolish doing so, but he is coming to your group.
If were to check, the doors are in fact locked magically by the wizard. You dont know if it had locked as you entered, or as he spoke. So far, this mage guy is a real dick.
Vazak blinks in confusion, looking at the gun in his hand. "Well.... that was easy?" He says uncertainly. He observes the gun for a moment, then shrugs and sticks it in his bag. "Might be useful later, I guess. Shall we continue?"
With that, Vazak will approach the eastern door - giving the body of the mage a wide, wary berth - reaching back to grasp the hilt of his greatsword with one hand as he pushes the door open with the other.
You find he is completely naked under his robe. No weapons, or spell books, not even spell components. There is a pocket in his robe with three chocolate coins.
The next room is about 40 feet wide in all directions, it is a round room. There is a door east again, and one south, though not directly south. (This dungeon has wierd off shooting paths, its driving me nuts with a touch of ocd, lol)
This room though fairly plain, has cobblestone floors. The floor also rises in tiers near the center, about 1 foot up, levels off for a foot, and repeat. This raised spot in the middle has a granite column that stands up about 3 feet. Atop this pedestal column, is a silver box with an inviting glow of a light blue from the edges and corners. This box also has a similar glowing button on top.
(Just for measurements,
The column is 2 feet wide, and the box is about a foot cubed)
"Let's try and use a mage hand to start..." Leon suggests, casting mage hand The hand, when he casts it, is invisible. He has the hand try to grab the box.
The mage smiles wide and places a hand on his robed hip, strokink his beard. His head is facing the wall, but he begins eyeing you with a side glance and a smile.
Perception check please, anyone/everyone entering.
Baxthon Perception: 18
Leon perception: 16
Vazak perception: 11
Thanks.
So you all manage to see the walls and floor have runes on the wall, and some letters from the common tongue.
The floor has "Y" and "G". The wall to your left as you enter has "R" and "A", and the opposite wall has "U" and "N"
The mage seems to be giving you shit as you look around, with his side glances and snarky smiles.
"You just looking around? Finding a new home, eh?"
Marius smiles at the mage. “We’re looking for our friend’s missing read end. Have you seen any extras?”
"Oh? Hahah! You fell for it!"
The mage enjoys a good laugh to himself. He seems to be enjoying your pain
Baxthon stares at the letters for a moment. "If i read the letters from left to right.."
He looks at the left wall. "R and A"
He looks at the floor. "Y and G"
He looks at the right wall. "U and N"

Then continues in an annoyed voice.
"Putting these letters together makes a Raygun.. Does that mean anything to you? Maybe we are missing some letters? Or maybe we need a mage to shoot rays at something.."
Ooh.
As soon as you speak the words "Ray Gun", just that appears in your hand. Its sleek, snd shiney. Theres evenly polished silver metal on the outside snd blue matte metal accents on the inside lines, just around the green glowing powercore of the gun an the handle.
Fancy!
Baxthon looks at the weapon in confusion..
"So eh.. Do any of you know how to use one of these? Im not much for these gadgets, my steel is all i need."

(Baxthon is an old blacksmith, his craft is all he knows, and this thing is completely alien to him)
"Well it is made of steel, so maybe i can melt it into a nice sword or something.."
"Well mage, anything else you have for us, or should we continue on through one of these doors?" Leon says, glancing to the doors.
Oh? The doors? They have been locked since you entered.
He begins to laugh, quietly at first then louder, until he is nearly out of breath. He regains composer and wipes his eye.
We have only just begun to play!

Also, who wants that shiney gun?
Vazak will look at the gun, shrugging his shoulders. "Never seen anything like it. It's got a trigger, is it some kind of crossbow?" He asks.
He will take the weapon from Baxthon and - wary of the approaching crazy mage guy - point it at the wall and take a test shot.
The gun glows and hums as you point it at the wall. The longer you hold it down, you feel it pulling your arm to aim right at the mage.
It fires, and strikes the mage down.
He holds his chest in agony, and screams, cursing this demon weapon hes never seen before. He insults you all with many filthy names.
Good call bringing a ray gun to a magic fight.
Now you have the door that you entered in, on the west, and a new door to the east.
Leon moves to the mage and checks him for anything of use.
You find he is completely naked under his robe. No weapons, or spell books, not even spell components. There is a pocket in his robe with three chocolate coins.

The box lifts. No problem. So it must be pretty light for mage hand. No traps either.
Leon sets the box on the ground a bit away from them and uses the mage hand to try and open it.
