After four days of resting and recuperating, the party set out back to Nessarian's workshop to retrieve a few magical items they asked him to make. Some of them were slated to have been completed the day before.
As they enter workshop's facade, Nessarian's voice starts ringing out in everyone's mind, "I've got it! I've found just the thing you will need to get to the Archive! Come to my workshop at your earliest convenience!"
"A nice coincidence, for a change. I will be with you presently."
A few minutes go by and Nessarian descends on a flying carpet, "Welcome back! I think I have an idea of what brought you here. We have plenty of daylight, so we can take of what you likely have come for, before we get to this new development."
Lia smiles up at the wizard as he descends. "Saves time when things work out like this." She informs him. As the carpet hovers a couple inches off the ground she steps up onto it, always surprised when the material stays firm under her foot, rather than sinking down under her weight. She isn't sure she trusts standing on a flying object though, so quickly takes a seat off towards one corner of the carpet. She brushes white hair back from her face as she waits for the others to climb aboard. "So the wand is ready then?" She asks the wizard conversationally.
With the party on the carpet, he took them to the same area where they had purchased the rest of their magical items. After disembarking, Nessarian leads them to a particular shelf that has three of the items the party has requested, a stone of good luck (luckstone) made from the crystal from the cave with some runes etched on the facets, a warhammer +1 the warhammer itself is simple in construction, being made of iron, but it's balance it magically enhanced to deliver heavier blows; and a wand of the war mage +1 made from the branch of a tree that has a silvery white bark with some bluish patterns, that seemed to have been added, along the shaft.
"These are the items you asked for that I have been able to make. Take some time to test them out and see if they are to your liking."
"Making the emergency portals to the Wyrdrealm is a bit tougher than I initially thought. Although, I am getting closer to an answer for it. Experiments with banishment are yielding some promising results. I just need to find a way for you to control whenever you would like to return to this ream, rather be subject to the constrains of the spell."
Ah, that attunement thing. I'm supposing that Jororic took some time to attune to the new shoes during the down time; maybe after a little courage from the inn? :-D
Spinning the hammer around, Jororic seems impressed with the way it handles. Pulling out the battleaxe, he works through a few moves with the both of them, testing them together. "I t'ink twill do nicely! 'ow much fer it agin?"
Lia settles down with the wand in her lap, running a hand over the smooth wood as she concentrates on the item and shuts out everything else around her. She closes her eyes after a bit, just letting her fingers detect every inch of the want in her hand as she gets to know it. Once she feels the connection to the wand she would smile and open her eyes.
"Yes, this will work out quite nicely." She says, nodding her appreciation. "You did a wonderful job in the construction."
"As discussed, the warhammer and the wand are 200g each and the stone of luck will be 50g since you supplied the main component." Nessarian reminds them of each item's respective price.
"I'm glad they are to your liking. Now, we should discuss our new lead to get to the Archive." He beckons them back to the carpet.
(It has not been mentioned, but that was an invitation to for a history/religion check. Sorry if it wasn’t clear. The higher you roll the more details your character knows)
Lia has heard a number of stories from her childhood. The Steelscream Hawk is among the clearer examples. It is often describes as a truly gigantic bird, with a body and wings made of the toughest steel. It is sometimes said to be so large that it could swallow an entire village and still fly. It once patrolled the skies of the world for days on end. Some say it could visit every corner of the world three times over before needing to rest. It was said to fly so fast, that its own cries struggle to keep up with it. There were even tales of it tried to fly so high, it almost touched a star. Its most well-known legend is its race against the Roc of Clouds, the oldest and fastest of the great birds.
(I think I’m good, unless someone has something they’d like help with?)
Lia's good to go.
I'm good too.

Oswin yells up inside, "We're here!"
"Seems like we timed that right..." Lia says with a grin, pushing some of her white hair behind an ear as she waits for the wizard's response.

Jororic climbs up more ready than the first time, less trepidation. Maybe a little excited to see the magical warhammer.

Oswin will take some time to study his new stone and attune to it.
