You turn down the left hallway and then stop at the door on the left wall. Pressing your ear to the thick, dense, dark oak, you don’t hear anything on the other side. A careful inspection reveals no traps either.
Signaling to his companions, Lumen slowly turns the brass latch, and finding that it’s not locked, he pushes it open a few inches and lets Chrys move in front of him so that she can enter before him.
Looking inside, she can see that it’s a relatively small room, (20’x30’), reeking with the odor of refuse and animal fur. In the middle of the room, someone has created a den from smashed furniture and old linen. Lying in the den, she see two enormous wolf-like creatures with bristling gray fur and malevolent yellow eyes. They growl menacingly at Chrys when they see her poke her head in, but they remain where they are.
Krackle would poke his head around the door and peek inside at the sound of the growling. "Maybe I can talk to them?!" He would say, looking back to his friends.
"It's worth a shot. If these things are the worgs that Chrys was talking about earlier and if they're as nasty as she said, it can't hurt to try and get them to our side."

Lumen grabs Chrys by the collar and pulls her back into the hallway, with a quick look to see if there are any other entrances to the room, and then pulls the door closed as a reflex. Once it’s closed, Lumen heaves a sigh of relief.
”Want to hear a crazy idea? They might be hungry. There is some fresh meat over in the other room. Should we feed the goblins who just attacked us to those worgs? It’s not.... traditional. But those halfling corpses rose in that steel closet, and I’d like to not have to deal with the goblin bodies. Let’s go get them and throw them in here and the worgs get a snack, we avoid dealing with zombie goblins, and the circle of life continues.”
Vesper shrugs her shoulders. "Sure, that sounds like a good idea. Give the worgs the goblin bodies and Krackle can say that it's a peace offering or something."

(Lumen made a "yipe" sound when he saw the worgs, and then another "yipe" sound when he realized what he did to the tough paladin. He gives her an apologetic look when he realizes this -- after he pitches his idea about the goblin bodies.)
Chrys stifles a yell when Lumen pulls her back suddenly, but waves him off when he looks guiltily at her. "Don't ever 'pologize for savin' someone's life - even if they ain't grateful,"she tells him with a hearty clap on the shoulder. "It ain't always a thankful business, but doin' the right thing's never the wrong choice."
As she listens to the others discussing the plan, Chrys's frown deepens. "Y'all know what happens when ya get creatures used to the taste o' humanoid flesh... they start to crave it. Maybe it ain't an argument with those there worgs... goblins usually train 'em to go after other civilized folk anyhow. But it don't feel quite right to me to be doin' the same as the goblins we're huntin', if ya get my drift. I don't think any livin' thing is rightly gonna see chuckin' bodies at it as a peace offerin'. A temporary distraction, maybe. But we're still tellin' em that we're gonna be their next snacks once they get hungry again. Findin' a way to jam this door shut seems like a smarter idea. An' then comin' back an' puttin' them foul beasts outta their misery, too."
She sighs, putting her hands on her hips. "But well, I won't stop the rest o' ya if that's what ya wanna do, though... mostly 'cause Lumen's right 'bout one thing. It ain't smart to leave them goblin bodies we made next to a room where where nasty things happened to other peoples' corpses. Might be an unpleasant surprise waitin' for us the next time we pass that way otherwise."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krackle intelligence check! 5, if animal handling would help, that roll would be a +4 instead of a -2 lol!
"I will just ask the big wolfs if they like goblin meat!" Krackle would say as he clutches his staff and squints his eye as a mystical green energy moves from his staff into his mouth. After casting speak with animals, the kobold would poke his head in the room and begin making wolf sounds towards the worgs. "Hello! We are your friends. Do you eat goblins? If you eat goblins we have some goblins you can eat... otherwise we have some dried meat if you like.." The hopefull kobold would offer as he pulls out a small piece of meat.
As Krackle pokes his head through the door and speaks to the two worgs, they look at him with their yellow eyes and begin growling. He can’t tell if they can understand him or not, but neither of the two monstrous creatures makes any kind of noise that Krackle can understand. When he pulls out a smalll piece of meat, they both rise up and launch towards the door, with bared teeth gnashing and menacing snarls in their throats.
"AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" The kobold would shout as he tosses the piece of meat and quickly tries to shut the door. "Nope! nu uh.. no no no.. " He would gasp quickly before turning towards the others. "Do we have to go this way? We could just... seal the door shut right? Just close the door forever?" The terrified kobold would plead as his entire body shakes.
"Krackle? Did we learn anything from that?"Lumen says with a grin. "We can go down the other hallway and I don't think we need anything in that room."Turning to the others, he says, "I think they have a taste for it already, and they're very hungry going by their reaction to Krackle there. And what are we going to do with the goblin bodies if we're worried about them rising? I agree it's not... pleasant. But I'm not sure what our alternative is."
"I can help bury them" Krackle would say inbetween deep breaths. "I can bury the bodies deep in the ground.. like.. really far down." The kobold would say as he tries to catch his breath. "I can block the door too... cover this door with dirt. Lots of dirt... so much dirt you cannot even see this hallway..." He would add as he moves away from the door... his tail tucked between his legs.
(OOC: I will be honest.. .I was thinking the floor / walls were a dirt and rock combo. I remember now there being a tile floor mentioned but I guess I wasn't thinking that it continued on down the halls but now that you mention it.. you are probably right. I mean in theory Krackle could get dirt from the front of the cave and literally just walk back with a 5 ft cube of dirt being pushed in front of himself with mold earth but that would take a while. It would also mean we would have to drag the goblin bodies towards the entrance of the cave to bury them if the floor is tile.)
Chrys will squint at the door to try and see if it's trapped, while Lumen is checking the lock.
Investigation: 5
"Well, at least it don't look trapped," she whispers to Lumen.

(OOC: so a worg is a monstrosity and not a beast... would Krackle know that he cannot talk to it?)

OOC: How would we block the door with dirt? Isn't the floor made out of tile?

(Ah true, I forgot about the tile as well. Unless there are any tunnels or rough walls anywhere nearby, burning is likely a better option.)
