As the last and final round of the wrestling match ends, the three contest rings are dismantled, and the central area of the square is turned into another stage. By now, it's passing the late afternoon hours, and beginning to get close to dinner time, although it's not quite dark yet.
As the contest audience disperses, Some people filter into the various taverns and alehouses around the square, some head towards the food and beer tents, and others make their way over to the stages to get ready for the evening entertainment, where numerous musicians, singers, storytellers will perform throughout the evening. No one is performing yet, right now they're just warming up, or else, they're off taking a food and beer break.
Many of the more "well-to-do" folks appear to make their way to a place called the Golden Eagle, which, by the looks of it, seems to be a rather fine eating and drinking establishment. Some of there common folk, head to the Howling Wolf Tavern, which Silver remembers is the place that the stocky dwarf wrestler invited him to after the match. Gauging the crowd, it looks to be a pretty popular place.
A large contingent of the poor folk continue to hang around the main square, although some of them head towards a place called The Black Goat, which looks to be quite the rowdy dive bar.
Also, with a little bit of walking, you do manage to find a stable where horses might be able to be purchased, but there is no one there to conduct business right now. In fact, it appears that many businesses have closed early during the Sheildmeet Festival.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lumen follows Vesper, offering an arm if she wants one. "Seems a fancy place, which seems fitting, for some fancy champions. I'll admit I'm a bit jealous -- I thought I really had a better shot, but you ran the table there. Maybe you can give me some pointers? Magic's a new thing for me." He's started to sober up and his gait becomes a bit less shuffling, and more languid, sauntering.
When they enter, he'll see if there's a place to perform inside, and ask who's in charge of deciding who plays. He'll say to them, "name's Lumen, and I just performed on that stage right over there, maybe you heard me, and the massive applause. I'd be happy to entice more clientele into this fine establishment with this lute, if you're interested."
Vesper furrows her brow and thinks for a moment as Lumen makes his request. The alcohol was already making things cloudy for her and now he had asked a question that wasn't particularly easy for her to respond to. Outside of saying the words and moving her body around, there wasn't really much method to her magic. She just focused on creating an effect and it happened. And sometimes other things happened that she didn't intend to happen. "Hmmm. You've got the movement part down, as well as the words, so that's most of the work there. But when I cast spells, I just picture what I want to happen and then I focus really hard to make it happen. Like during the contest, when I wanted to make an effect that would woo the crowd, I just pictured it, focused on it, and then thought about how I wanted to make everyone feel. And it worked! Maybe you just need to do that."

Chrys eyes the Golden Eagle uncomfortably, clearly out of her element among the finery. "Er... sure, I guess, if you're willin' to pony up that sorta coin. I'll chip in what I can for myself, o' course, but I'm warnin' ya..." She beckons the others closer and drops her voice to a low whisper. "This place looks kinda snooty." She glances around at the party of what is pretty much metahumans, with particular worry at Silver, Krackle, and Lumen. "Snooty people are ofttimes kinda... rude, if ya get my drift. 'Course, what with the three of ya winnin' so handily in public, maybe they won't give the 'celebrities' no trouble. And this really has been a right friendly town to most o' us, too. Long as someone here can tell if them rich folk are tryin' to bilk us, we'll probably be alright..."
She looks behind her at the large stages being set up in the center square. "Oi, Lumen... ya might make more coin tryin' your luck there at the main event rather than inside the tavern. Bigger audience 'n all. What'cha think?"
Krackle would follow along with the group, remaining very close to Silver as he walked alongside the dragonborn. "I guess spending a little coin won't hurt... and I always wondered what it would be like to sleep in a bed." He would say with a nervous smile. "I wonder if they sell honey mead and fried chicken?" he would ask in a now much more excited voice. "The owner of the stable I used to live it always had that stuff and it seemed like it would be delicous!"
"I can share a room!" The kobold would add as he sticks his snout up so that it can be seen from behind the counter. "I would like it a lot actually" He would say jumping up so that his eyes manage to crest the counter so that he can see the innkeeper.
Arine clapped Chrys on the shoulder, and said, "Don't worry, if any one of those snots get too uppity, just say you hope they can afford a better personality next season. Maybe Lumen can shake them up anyway, get them to drop the sticks up their rumps."
They'd just have to make sure money talked.
On their way to inn, she took a few minutes to tame her hair, and select a few strategic pieces of make up from inside her Disguise Kit. Nothing gaudy, certainly no fake jewelry, but enough of a touch up so her worn leather armor didn't look so bad.
Then she followed after Vesper, trailing behind Krackle to keep an eye on what was going on. "And can we get your menu for the evening?"
If Lumen is allowed to play, he will not sing or perform in the energetic way he did onstage earlier that day. He will simply pick up the lute and do his best to use it to share the sound of the music in his head with the people around him. That music being the soaring, whistling wind arcing through a high mountain pass, the raindrops plinking and plopping into a pond melting in springtime, herds of auroch thundering across the taiga, the crackling of a dying campfire, that sort of thing. Almost entirely instrumental and he barely stands up or even makes eye contact. (He's trying to take Vesper's advice about magic to heart.)
As you walk into the Golden Eagle, you see that it's full of fairly well-to-do patrons, although that atmosphere hardly seems snooty or stuck up. Although the decor is quite nice, with lots of fine trimmings, most of the people seem to be having a good time and the air is filled with laughter and good cheer. There's a tavern room and a restaurant room, and the establishment also offers rooms for rent.
Inside the tavern room, there's a small stage, where you see a male half-elf singing folk songs and accompanying himself on a lute. Lumen inquires about taking a turn to play and entertain the crowd, and his plea is apparently quite persuasive, because they offer him a 30 minute time slot later this evening, around 10PM. (Right now, it's close to 6:00.)
Vesper seeks out and easily find the innkeeper, a stocky man you guess to be in his 50's. When she asks about room, the man replies, "Evenin' miss... Normally we're pretty tight on rooms during Shieldmeet, but we do have three left. They're two dragons each."
Upon seeing Krackle, he seems a bit taken aback, but only shows a slight bit of caution, especially when the little kobold speaks in his friendly, disarming tone. "Wedon't normally allow critters in here... he your pet or something? If he is, and you promise to vouch for him, I guess might let it slide, but you gotta let me know that he's ok."
(OOC: Vesper, when you answer, give me a persuasion check. Also, in a situation like this, someone else can help and also roll the same check for advantage.)

"I assure you, good sir, our /friend/ is nothing but charming. He's an absolute character, I'm sure more than a few patrons have seen his run at the festival skill contests. We'll be more than happy to vouch for him, but I do hope you don't ask all your other guests if they're pets." Wide-eyed and just a smidge shy, like Arine wasn't sure he meant an insult.
(Ooc: I would like to help to give Vesper advantage!
(OOC: I think you need to make a persuasion roll too then, runicscribbles!)
"Seems friendly enough here," Chrys replies, sounding relieved. "If ya don't mind the company, I'll share a room with you or Vesper again, since the space is tight."
Waiting until the others are done discussing business with the innkeeper, she approaches and asks him "'Scuse me, but I was wonderin', where's the local temple here? Do they have mornin' services tomorrow, an' if so, about when does that happen?"
Krackle would quit jumping and let his small shoulders slouch a bit as his snout dips down towards the floor when asked if he was a pet. He wouldn't say anything but would curl his tail around his body and hold the tip of it in both hands... wringing it somewhat nervously with a sad look upon his face. As his friends vouched for him, the kobold would raise his head and stand a little taller as a smile returned to his face. He would still keep hold of his tail however... as though he were trying to keep from touching anything for fear of getting the group in trouble.
"No he's not a pet. He's a person and he's with us! We promise that he won't get into any trouble while he's here. So, could you give him a room too, please?"

The innkeeper seems to be put as ease as Vesper and Arine vouch for the kobold. It's obviously that he's at least a little charmed by the pretty half elf, and so answers your inquiry and rents you three rooms for the night.
Upon asking about the dinner menu, you are put into the queue to wait for a table that's big enough for six. Given that it's the night of the festival, both the tavern and the restaurant room are filled to near capacity. You're given about an hour wait, but as luck would have it, one of the scheduled musicians didn't show up, so the proprietor gives Lumen the half hour slot, which coincides with the time you're waiting for the table. However, you're free to order ale or wine while you wait.
As you all stand and wait, Krackle does his best to keep his tail out of the way, trying to avoid direct contact with any of the other patrons. He gets a few strange looks his way, but nothing that seems overly threatening or demeaning, it's mostly just attention for being the oddity inside this rather nice establishment. A few of the patrons point and stare with fascination, obviously recognizing him as the winner of the games. Some of them even raise their mugs in his direction. Vesper and Silver also get a few intriguing looks, which you figure are also due to the fact that they're both contest winners.
Lumen begins playing some soaring melodies on his lute, every once in awhile humming softly to enhance the ambience and environment of the piece. Being a little on the experimental side, his first piece is a little awkward and doesn't get much response from the crowd. However, by his second song, he start to feel a little more comfortable with this style. Using a variety of plucking and strumming techniques, and tapping his fingers and palm on the wooden body of the instrument, he's able to weave interning rhythms and melodies and paint virtual landscapes and nature scenes through the creative use of different timbres on his instrument. By now, he's starting to get the notice of quite a few people, and he even wins some applause at the end of the piece.
In response to Chrys's question about the local temples, the innkeeper informs you that the prominent temple in Yartar is dedicated to Tymora, the goddess of good fortune, and there are many small shrines around the town as well. As far as he know, there is a daily sunrise service at the temple.
By his third and last song, he's definitely found his groove. Playing with much more confidence now, Lumen still keeps things understated, but he's figured out which techniques work and which sounds evoke the kinds of feelings he's trying to import. At the end of his set, he earns what seems like a genuine round of applause from the audience.

Vesper smiles and waves at any patrons that give her and her friends intrigued looks. Her reaction to Lumen's performance is more tame than it was when they first met, as she remains seated and applauds him, without the jumping that was present earlier. That may or may not have been due to Chrys letting her know the acceptable celebrations in a classy tavern are different from the celebrations are acceptable at an outdoor stage. She's still happy that she was able to help Lumen perform in front of others. As they wait, she tries to convince Chrys to let her have some wine despite still being inebriated. "I promise that I'll be on my best behavior and I won't vomit anywhere, probably. So can I have a glass? Pleeeeease!" She pulls out the puppy dog eyes in an effort to convince her.

Krackle would give a small nervous smile and nervous wave to anyone that raises their glass in his direction. "good job Lumen!" The brass scaled kobold would shout as he finishes the last song. As vesper tries to talk her way into getting more booze, Krackle would bounce over to her and give her a clothes a tug. "I can try to sneak you something to drink if you want" He would say with a smile.
