"Well, you should thank Krackle fer that. I can't manage somethin' like this on my own! I bet our friend here could start his own business if he really wanted ta!"
While Lumen's creative intentions and musical inspiration were certainly strong, the technical execution of his ideas didn't translate as well as he would have hoped. In his own mind, he could envision the plinks and taps as sounding like a mountain brook, but judging by the lack of interest from the morning breakfast patrons inside the tavern, which thankfully, were very few, (this time of day, the tavern side is pretty empty, as breakfast is served in the separate dining area) his melodic ideas just didn't seem to resonate with people this morning.
Perhaps it was just that breakfast goers at The Golden Eagle aren't usually used to listening to music as they start their day. Either way, he recognizes that he needs a little more practice in order to make his "stream" sounds more musically convincing and entertaining.
Krackle would clap extra loud as Lumen finishes his song. "Good job! I liked it a lot." He would exclaim ad he finished his breakfast. "If ya ever want me to turn into an animal and dance along to help keep their attention I can. Maybe you could teach me how to play an instrument and I could help that way if ya wanted" The kobold would add as he wipes the crumbs from his scaley snout.
"If you can keep a beat half as good as you can braid hair, I'd be happy to teach you how to play the drums, Krackle. Thank you for the offer. Seems I still have some things to learn. It's a welcome surprise to have you back as yourself. You got, well, pretty terrible under the thrall of that mask. Speaking of..."he turns to the rest of the group. "So we want to drop off a piece of the mask with the gentleman we met last night at the temple, and then find a place to hide the other. Then there is business calling us back up the road, perhaps? Unfinished business with the gnolls, that pool near the giant skeeters, and potentially bringing Harriet to Silverymoon from Melton -- and maybe more solidly sealing up the temple if we can't do anything about the pool. Ehrland would know about the gnoll job. Do I have anything wrong?"
"We're goin' to the temple," Chrys says resolutely. "We ain't doin' nothin' till we're rid o' these masks. I don't want any more o' us to have these crappy dreams. We can pick up adventurin' when we're not a danger to the folks we're tryin' to help." She raps her knuckles on the table to emphasize her point. "Afterwards, we can do any shoppin' that needs doin', then hit the road. I'm thinkin' it would be a real bad idea to hide the last piece o' that mask here in Yartar, where so many people are. 'N fact, why don't we go lookin' for Phelannie next? Dundragon's dryad friend. He said she was at least 3 or 4 days outta Yartar near a forest, and that seems like a good distance to put 'tween both Yartar and that temple, an' get rid o' this last mask shard."
"Sounds good to me!" Krackle would chime in with a smile. "I am ready go to when you are." He would add as he jumps off the chair and slings his tiny pack over his shoulder.
With well rested bodies, clear heads and full bellies, you leave The Golden Eagle and make the short walk across the busy square over to the Temple of Tymora. The sunrise service has been over for awhile, so there are only a few people inside, but you do see the priest Callum. At the moment, he’s instructing a young acolyte as they tend to a few duties, such as replacing spent candles, sweeping the front entrance and brushing dust from the pews.
“Greetings and welcome to The Happy Hall of Fortuitous Happenstance! The Lady bids you good fortune on this fine morning... Oh, hello! You have returned! How may I be of service?”
Callum informs you that there is not a temple to Selune here in Yartar, however, there is a shrine to Selune found near the northeast corner of the town. The closest places that have temples to Selune are Waterdeep and Silverymoon.
Chrys nods at Lumen, before addressing Callum solemnly. "Well... ya remember that cursed broken mask we were tellin' ya 'bout? We got some solid advice on how to deal with it, short o' orderin' a miracle from Selûne herself. An' one of those ways was to put one shard o' this mask in the hands o' someone we could trust to hide it away from the world, without tellin' any o' us where it went." Chrys clears her throat uncomfortably. "I know ya ain't servin' the moonmaiden directly… neither am I, to be honest. But I think doin' her a good turn would do the world a favor, an' make both o' our gods a lil' bit happier. I know it's a burden, but can we ask ya to take on this task with a piece o' the mask?"
Callum listens to your plea with a concerned look on his face. When you're done speaking, he pauses for a few brief moments and takes a deep breath before answering.
"Yes... I remember this mask you speak of... this... tool of The Dark Lady you showed me yesterday evening. And now you're asking me to take one of the piecesand hide it away, in a secret location, separate from the other two sections."
"I will concede that it is of the utmost importance to ride the world of this item, so that it may not corrupt any more minds. However, you are entrusting me with a great deal of responsibility. Is merely hiding it enough? Things hidden can always be found. Should this thing not be destroyed? Is that not the more prudent course of action to take with an evil, cursed item that can ruin the should of a person who comes in contact with it? Also, is this not the provision of the Moonmaiden and her own clerics, for they know much more about her evil sister than I do."
"And if I were to take on this burden, what kind of hiding place do you have in mind? What is the idea way I should dispose of this thing. I certainly do not want it to reside anywhere near this temple, or put this house in any risk of danger."
"I understand, my lady dwarf, what you would like to see done, but I question whether I am the right person on which to place this request. Is there not someone better suited to this task?"
"Well, maybe you could tell me. The best person ta bring this mask shard to would be a priest or priestess o' Selûne. Ya know of any around in Yartar right now, or where we could get in touch with her representatives? I'm not sure if a shrine is gonna cut it... usually those don't have any clergy attendin' them. 'Course, it was Shieldmeet recently. How'd we go 'bout findin' out if there was still a clergymember 'round these parts?"Chrys replies, slightly disappointed, but still being very respectful to the otherwise-helpful priest.

(Nice description, Lumen. 👍 Always remember to roll a Performance check whenever you play in front of a crowd.)

So, now that you’ve eaten your fill of fine breakfast foods, what do you guys doing today?
(Lumen was listing those things sequentially, as in, they all can be done from beginning to end, if that wasn't clear!)
Ok. Would you like to start by returning to the temple?

Lumen’s fine with this sequence as well.

Lumen looks to Chrys to make the pitch for Callum to hide the piece of the mask, but he will help however he can (or vice versa).
Also, Selune is the good version of Shar, right? Did Lumen ever get an answer to his question of if she had a temple in town?

Chrys, roll a Persuasion check with advantage, since Lumen is helping you.
