Pressing forward with torches in hand, you move slowly towards the webs, stepping over tangled brambles, twisted sticks and rotting, fungi-laden logs. Even though it doesn't help increase you line of sight, the fire adds adds a small level of comfort in this dim, dark place, despite the fact that it's still early morning.
Shuffling through the brush, you keep your eyes and ears peeled for any movement, any sound, any sign of dangers, any threatening creatures. Your keen senses detect nothing, until Chrys sees movement about twenty feet in front of her. At first it's a blur in the shadows, but then she sees a thick, hairy appendage and realizes that it's another wolf spider the size of a small black bear. It's quickly moving towards her, crawling almost silently along the forest floor.
As she eyes the creature, two more of them suddenly surprise Krackle and Kess. They had escaped detection, and now both party members find themselves on the wrong end of wickedly sharp pincers as the spiders lunge forward and attack. Attack on Krakle: 13 Damage: 4, and Attack on Kess: 23 Damage: 10
Being caught completely off guard, both Krackle and Kess feel the sharp sting of spider jaws piercing their upper thighs. The Kobold is instantly reminded how dangerous these creatures can be and he suffers yet another excruciatingly painful bit. Both must now make CON saves. (Someone can roll Kess's CON save at +4.)

Although the wound isn't particularly deep, it's intensely painful, and Kess feels the spider's venom begin to circulate through her body. She takes 9 poison damage.

Reliving the painful episode from less than 24 hours ago, poor Krackle feels the spider's venom burn through his wound as it begins rushing through his small body. He takes an additional 10 poison damage.

(OOC: am I poisoned and take more damage or just poisoned after my terrible con save?)
Krackle would cry out in pain as he quickly transforms into a brown bear. His scream would turn into a roar as he quickly bites and claws at the spider
Since I have pack tactics as a kobold does that transfer over to bear form? I mean I still think the same way right?
Never mind, 17 damage drops Krackle, I am unconcious.
KESS! also only has 10hp... so if she took 11 damage she is KO'd also. Not sure if anyone rolled any HP for her during the rests. If we just had a long rest she might have had full HP so she wouldn't be knocked out.
The strength of the venom and the pain of the bite overwhelms little kobold’s body. His mind quickly fades, and he falls to the ground. He is stable, but poisoned, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.
(Chrys is right, I had adjusted Kess’s hp after the long rest in Phelannie’s grove, and then subtracted the damage from the spider bite. She is currently at 8 hp.)
Fortunately, Kess’s body is able to withstand the toxic nature of the spider venom, and although in pain, she lashes out with brutal efficiency and skewers the spider all the way through its body, killing it instantly. She then takes a few deep breaths to regain at least a tiny bit of focus and confidence.
Having rendered its prey and future meal unconscious, the spider that bit Krackle turns and goes after Kess, obviously seeing the elf as a dangerous threat. It rushes towards her with venom dripping from its jaws.
Attack: 12 Damage: 5
The elf is ready this time, and she aggressively parties the attack with deft bladework, saving herself from another painful bite.
Seeing Krackle go down, Chrys grits her teeth and lifts her hammer. "Annoyin' bastards! Ya need to get outta my way!" she roars, raising Due Process and taking a hefty swing at the spider before her.
Calling forth strength from the gods, Chrys swings her hammer down in a ferocious arc and watches it land hard upon the spider’s back. The force of the blow cracks the creature’s hard exoskeleton and drives all the way to the ground, completely destroying the spider’s body in a mess of black blood and goo.

Chrys runs over to Krackle and puts her hands out, praying to the Duin.
"Watcher of Travelers, bring our friend back to the light," she murmurs under her breath as she places her hands on his wounds and channels energy into them.
Lumen blinks, amazed at everything that happened before he even had a chance to move. "Krackle! Are you okay!?! Fat lot of good I did back there."He darts forward to the kobold, eyes scanning the rest of the forest, looking for anything, a dagger ready to throw at anything hostile he sees.

Krackle would cautiously walk forward.. a flame dancing in his hand as he keeps an eye out for spiders.
