"I'm a helper!" Krackle would reply to the halforc as he stood up on the chair... his head still not as tall as anyone that was sitting down. "I used to make money helping pa dig ditches, clean out stables, and care of peoples animals" The kobold would add proudly. "Ma and PA used to tell me that I was their helper! without all the copper coins I used to help make, we might have got kicked out of the our nice stable and my sister couldn't go to school!" He finished while pointing a thumb towards his chest as he tries to puff it out as far as it will go. "Now I am looking to make some coin for ma and pa now that my sister left. Maybe help them get their own stable!" He would say before taking another bite of pie.
Chrys grabs ahold of Vesper's shoulder and pulls her back down into her seat with a loud laugh. "Easy, girl! Sure, the minstrel's a real looker, but you've had one too many to be the fair judge o' that right now!"
Grabbing her mug of ale, she slides it down the table towards the half-orc, who like all good bards, knows how to expertly handle his alcohol and catches it safely. "Like my friend said, I'm Chrys, and this big guy over here,"she leans into Silver's shoulder companionably, knocking him forward a little, "is Loraliann. His friends call 'im Silver, though." She grins at Lumen, in a good mood from the warm pie and the cool ale. "We're just a band o' friends come together lookin' to make a bit o' coin an' a name for ourselves in this here town. Right time, right place, y'know? I got a good feelin' about us." Grabbing another mug - which happens to be Vesper's, preventing the slightly drunken half-elf from reaching for it again - she raises it the the group. "To the... aww, hell. To the Aspirin' Adventurers Five!" Then she glances at Lumen. "Or should that be 'Six'? What say you, pretty boy? You wanna be a friend o' ours today? Raise that glass and help yourself to some pie, if that's the case!"
OOC: This group name seriously doesn't have to stick, please feel free to throw in your hat with a good name for a company if you have a nice idea! ;-)

¨And you will do it little one¨ Said Silver as he pat Krackle in the head ¨i will make sure of that¨
Silver look at Chrys, then at the bard ¨So...Lummen what kind of abilities do you have... also do you know where can we find a mission board or something of that kind?¨
It doesn´t matter the answer of the bard, Silver will take his time while lummen is speaking to detail lummen's hands trying to find scarring of battles or callocities consistent with prolonged use of weapons, as the big build of Lummen seems more of a warrior like the soldiers on silver´s barracks. (( Investigation 16 ))
"We're not gonna be the Pie Pals." Arine cut in idly, and there wasn't enough alcohol on the continent to change her mind, but she'd welcome the attempt. She'd whooped and hollered in easy enthusiasm at the half-orc's set, but had been steadily supplying Vesper's drink with more ale. If anyone had noticed that second mug wasn't as low as it should be, Arine hadn't been tripped up yet.
Light weights, bless 'em. The world needed a few. Kept the balance and all that.
"Hold on, hold on."The halfling raised a hand, aiming vaguely for Silver's line of sight. "Are ya only after a bit of gold? Simple' stuff?"
¨No ,but Krackle and i are on our last coins¨Then he points to Krackle with one hand and keep his eyes on Arine ¨I worry about him, we have been eating ONLY fruits the past few days, and our luck has not been the greatest getting jobs¨ Silver then look at Chrys ¨I´m quite tired you know?, and we couldn´t go for big jobs. But then you appear, and it was like a big weight was removed from my shoulders because i know that together we can do bigger things¨ His hands motions to Arine then to Lummen ¨Money is not all in life but (( motion to lummen here ))i need to know that i can trust on your migth when the time comes, also you seems to know this place more than us, so ...can you help us¨
Krackle would look to Chrys and smile as mead drips from the end of his snout. Quickly looking to Arine, The small kobolds eyes would go wide. "Hey now, I'd settle for some silver coins!" The kobold would reply as he pats the nearly empty coin pouch on his hip. "I am pretty good at finding fruit and berries for us to eat. Sometimes I can even get animals to help me look!" He would mention before submerging the end of his snout back into the mug.
Lumen nods a bit confusedly at Krackle's response, and gives him a half-smile before taking another pull from his mug.
When Silver is introduced, he reaches over to shake his hand. Silver will note a very strong, rough grip, the blue-green hand scarred, calloused, and firm. Further up the arm, there are more scars, and the bit of skin below the neck that can be seen to the leather armor is partially tattooed. He offers his hand to Chrys, Vesper, Arine, and Krackle as well.
"That's good to hear,"he says back to Chrys. "Hard to find friends on the road. 'Least, that's been my experience. Not sure about the names, but picking band names has never been a strong suit of mine, so maybe I'm wrong. I just came into some coin myself,"he says, dropping the contents of his cap into a pouch underneath his armor. "But I don't know of any other performance opportunities coming up, so my schedule's open. What sort of name are you looking to make? Think you could use a hype man?"
When SIlver asks about his abilities, he glances down at the lute, and then at the pitted, brutal-looking longsword strapped to his back. "I... do in fact come from a land of ice and snow, and the people who raised me weren't very gentle. I survived there as best I could. No 'formal' training in combat, but, well, let's just say I've survived many fights. I left my compatriots after a bit of a philosophical dispute that we don't have to get into here, but since then I've kept myself alive and fed through song and savvy, and, in a pinch, a bit of the arcane. What 'abilities' do you have, Mr. Silver? I've no reason to doubt or depend on them at first glance, but you all seem to have kept yourselves alive on the road."
He digs into the pie offered to him, flagging down a server to order another.
"As for help and a job board, there was one next to the board where they listed performance opportunities, I think. We could go check."
Vesper pouts when Chrys takes her beer away. But when she suggests that they call themselves the Aspiring Adventurers Five or Six, Vesper nods her head, hair flipping about as she does so. As does she when Krackle suggests Pie Pals. And when Arine shoots that idea down. In her inebriated state, she agreed with generally anything that the group was suggesting in terms of names. "Y-Yeah. Let's get a job. Make some money."

After finishing your ale and pie, you get up from the table and begin making your way across to the other side of the square where Lumen thought he had seen a central notice board. Krackle notices at least a couple of tents that sell jewelry and other trinkets of adornment.
As you’re passing through, you pass by a large area that’s been roped off, obviously for some kind of event or tournament. The contests are as follows:
Strength - Wrestle you opponent to the ground and hold him down for five seconds (one round)
Agility - A test in balance. Balance metal beer mugs and plates top of each other in your hands and walk one full circle around the ring before adding another mug and plate. Whoever builds the highest tower wins.
Arcane - A test in illusions or prestidigitation skills. Create the most compelling illusion and win the applause of the audience to win.

Chrys and Silver quickly get in line, just as the first wrestling match gets underway. A barrel chested red headed human squares off with a slightly shorter, and slightly younger fellow with dark hair, a short cropped beard and thick muscular arms. When the signal is given, the two men rush towards each other and lock arms. They push and shove for about half a minute, with each trying to catch the other's balance off guard.
Finally, the red head swipes his leg across and trips the other, and they both come crashing to the ground with an audible thud. A large thickly woven mat has been placed over a low wooden platform that rises just off the ground, and you can tell by the sound of the impact that it offers at least a little abrasion against the roughness of the stone, but not much cushioning.
The dark hair underneath fights and squirms, and temporarily gets free. He tries to escape the grapple, but the red head grabs him around the waist. He drops his own legs and falls backwards, taking the dark hair with him. Right before they hit the ground, red quickly rolls his body around and lands on top once again. Dark hair fights with desperation, kicking his legs and trying to roll over, but red's grip is too strong and the five second mark passes. The dwarf referee makes the call and Red gets the win He jumps up and throws both arms up in victory.
He exits the ring and another man enters the ring, an extremely ugly human of medium height, matted brown hair and tattooed arms.
Being the next contestant, Chrys is also called up and she enters the ring and squares off with the man...
OOC: Ok, Chrys, I need a series of strength rolls.. give me six to start and describe your fighting style/actions)
-----------------
Vesper is the first one in the Arcane line, and so she enters the ring first. Her competition is a tall, thin human man with tight, thin lips, long blonde hair and a burgundy cloak.
The rules are simple. Each mage will get three tries to create an original illusion or magical effect that wows the crowd. It can be anything, but it must be harmless. Simple applause will decide the winner.
OOC: Ok Vesper, you're up! Describe your actions/illusions/spells and give me 3 d20 rolls and add your proficiency bonus and your spell casting proficiency modifier.
----------
At one of the booths, Krackle finds a couple of matching hammered brass bracelets that catch his eye. They're nice and shiny, but simply made, so they're not very expensive. The shopkeeper gives a startled nod when you the Dragonborn holds you up in his field of view, and although he eyes you two with slight intrigue, he rolls his eyes and agrees to sell you both bracelets in exchange for your 15 sp. Also, Krackle, roll a perception check.
-----------------
OOC: Lumen, you'll be up next, so give me your three rolls like Vesper and describe your time in the arcane ring.
Chrys downs her ale and slams it on the table with a loud burp.
"Pie Pals! I LIKE IT!" she roars, raising a fist.
It seems like Krackle has won over a new friend with his equally bad puns!
"We're not gonna be the Pie Pals." Arine cut in idly, and there wasn't enough alcohol on the continent to change her mind, but she'd welcome the attempt.

OOC: Lumen, you'll be up next, so give me your three rolls like Vesper and describe your time in the arcane ring.
