(OOC: I don't remember if it said we had to kill her... or just that we had to bring back the silk sack.. implying that the queen woudl have to be killed in order to do that...)
Tara consults her notes. "We are to kill her and bring back her silk sack," she says, eyeing the queen cautiously. "I am open on ideas for how to do that."
"While I have used most of my most potent arcane abilities for the day. I could produce a poison that could be mixed with pollen in an attempt to harm the queen" Jax woudl say as he taps the strange waterskin with multiple valves and gauges protruding from it. "I doubt the poison would be enough to kill the queen, and it would mean that I would not be able to produce any drinking water for you all until tomorrow." The warforged would add looking to each of them.
(OOC: the alchemy jug says it can make poison but I don't know if it would hurt the queen or just make her have to make a saving through or have disadvantage on attacks...)
Well that poison seems pretty lame. I mean it looks like at most you get 3d4 poison damage after 3 successful hits and 3 failed con saves... I was hoping it would at least apply the poisoned condition.
Animal handling for those trained or straight intelligence DC: 12
Your past research and experience tells you that creatures that make their own poison tend to be at the very least resistant if not immune to poison damage. You think as you begin to eye the stinger on the end of the Queen.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

"I don't think a poison would work here. Creatures who bear a sting or venom tend not to succumb to poisons the same way we do. A blade may be more effective here," says Virnen, who has extensive experience hunting animals in the woodlands of his home.
Or, you know, we could kill it from a distance, says Lucky. He turns and looks at Jax. And before you ask, no I don't have a clue how we would do that. But I really like the idea because it means us not getting anywhere near that nightmare. Could we use magic or something? Or arrows? Isn't smoke supposed to put bees to sleep? I think I read that somewhere. Or make the crystal explode. Or hit it with a hammer and maybe the queen will just collapse 'cause of the noise. They don't like noise, right?
Lucky is looking very warily in the direction of the queen and in particular the large stinger, imagining himself skewered upon it. He shudders.
"I think that once we engage the queen... we will have to deal with the retaliation colony. I think it would be wise to be close to the queen so that we can quickly collect the sack and escape." Jax would add as he pulls out his revolver. "I do prefer to fight from a distance when possible however."
Sorry to do this to you all but I am going to have to drop out of this campaign. I've enjoyed playing with all of you. Enjoy the rest of the adventure.
A sudden arcane swirl of blue and white begin to envelop Squall. With a flash of energy, she is teleported and no where to be found.
The sudden flash of bright light is enough to get the attention of the colossal sized queen bee now one her way to investigate. You see the red flashes of her eyes as they reflect the light, jagged mandibles, and glimpses of a sac like formation on her thorax underbelly. She’s coming directly for you. Not knowing if she’s actually seen you yet.

"What has happened.." Jax would comment as his companion disappears. Quickly looking around as the red light of his lens pulses incredibly fast, he would point his revolver straight towards the queen and begin firing.

"Worry about it later," Tara says tersely, spreading her hands as blue light gathers around them, and three glowing blue dragons form and land on Jax, Virnen, and Lucky.
Dragoncrap, hisses Lucky in surprise. Okay, let's do this and not die, eh? Like heroes in stories, we'll defeat the insect queen and be drinking in the tavern by nightfall. He gives a bardic inspiration (d6) to Virnen.

"It is something at least. I am sure we can go a day with out water."
Even as she speaks the words Squall's mouth seems to dry at the thought and the heat around her feels more oppressive.
(OOC Poison, Basic (vial) It should make that)
