(I need a short rest.) Brozznan looks at the party, a bit of blood pools at the corners of his mouth. "I think I'm going to take a rest for a little while before we head out. If there is any information we can gain from the kid, might be worth knowing before we head out."

"Don't want to overwhelm the kiddo. Sorry, but he did tell me how he kept going to the grove. Apparently he set a trail for himself by tying some white string onto tree branches. Follow them and it should lead you to the grove."
The party takes a short rest as Hans hands out some makeshift weapons to a few volunteers. The hour passes by quickly and quietly, with hushed families and anxious militia, met with nothing for the hour. As the hour comes to a close, Hans meets with the party, "Alright...It's been quiet but...its just making me feel uneasy. I'll do my best to watch over the village while you all check out the grove."

As the group heads out Sylvester will keep an eye out for the white string mentioned by Hans. Knowing there are living controlling the dead he will try to be unseen.
Nicola yawns, feeling replenished. "Alright, let's head out, but keep our eyes open. Hans, thank you for your help. We won't let you down!"
Nicola mutters a prayer for Guidance, shoulders her pack, and moves out with the party, keeping eyes peeled for the white strings and for any movements in the forest.
The party finds the trail of string in a few moments and begin to follow the trail of them. After a while, a strong stench can be smelled up ahead. As the party comes closer, they find the trees changing colors to an auburn. And ahead, they can see two zombies milling about an clearing of sorts. Besides the strange change of color in the trees, past the zombies the party can see a mound of dirt.
The party doesn't get closer as they see the zombies turn towards something. A rabbit dashes out from the forest and tries to cross the clearing. The zombies try to follow but are too slow to grab it. As it comes to the other end, the zombies stop their pursuit, returning to their former positions.
Brozznan will draw his crossbow and point it toward the 2 zombies. "Any objections?" he whispers to the others. "Best we maintain our distance until we have to get close."
"This must be the spot the priest was talking about, where the grove is stuck in autumn," Nicola says. "Seems like that mound of dirt is at the center of it. Smells like death. I agree, we should tread carefully here."

"Likewise, I'm better once I'm within 30ft of an enemy. I probably shouldn't be waving bright flames around from this distance, kind of attracts attention."

Kastor prepares to cast Produce Flame as soon as Brozznan fires from range, and will fling the fire at whichever zombie he sees Brozznan hit (or miss!)

Brozznan will wait until everyone is in position. He raises a hand as if to wait a moment. Brozznan will drop his hand and fire a shot at the nearest zombie.
Kastor doesn't need to, but I suspect at least a couple might benefit from a few extra HP.
