Whitegaze will continue to attack the zombies, if he strikes one down, moving onto another, finishing by using his shield to try and push one back into the swirling darkness created by Al-Ashari.

ooc: DD, you didn't post the results of Merric's attacks. I will assume the zombie he attacked was destroyed. If not, please let me know.
Merric eyes the erupting ground with distaste. "Oy! This better'n be the last of these disgustin' things. I'm not gettin' my ticket price back, I'm thinkin'! Stepping past his latest victim, Merric, moves to attack another zombie, angling for one that leaves him near enough to the other to both give and get support, if needed. "My blades will be needin' some serious cleanin' after this fight."
Rapier of Warning attack 14, damage 11 plus Sneak Attack 34. I messed up the first roll and did 8d8 and not 8d6.
He will use hold the bonus action to Dash to the aid of a companion if needed.
(OOC: I started running the round through, then realized two overlapping spirit guardians was going to take out any of the zombies in short order...)
Between the two spirit guardians you do enough damage per round to destroy all of the zombies. At the end of the round another 7 zombies boil up and are quickly put down by the spirit guardians.
You are out of combat.
Another item has churned up with the zombies, a sword of steel, though not nearly as interesting as the blade Kale found earlier, it still is clearly magical as you touch it. A quick examination reveals it to be a long sword of warning.
Al-Ashari just shook her head - blades was the last thing she needed. "I think we have got all we could from that house,"she skipped the word "mad" - what was not mad in this place? "It looks like we need to find that "Dancing Spider" Inn. The butler gave some directions but you know how it is here - we probably need to navigate from above again. Can your broom still fly, Kale?"
"I'm sure it can... but perhaps first, someone could identify this dagger I found in the ground?" Kale asks, taking out the silver dagger and holding it up for the others to see.
He also brings out the broom and holds it out, in case someone wants to try using it while he is inspecting the dagger.
Merric sheaths his rapiers and walks over to the bard. "I'd be no help with'n the dagger, though tis a nice piece." he says admiringly. "But I'm thinkin I'll be useful on yer broom, bard-o-mine. That's if'n your of a mind to trust me. I've me ways of seein', even in this muck," he indicates the incessant rain, "which may help locatin' this inn o'the Dancin' Spider." He doesn't touch them but the goggles Merric is wearing over his eyes are kind of hard to miss.
"If you'll let me know how to work yer broom, pass along the directions from the butler, and anything I'm needin' to know, I'll be up and about it. I swears on my honor and that of the Golden Hin ta bring it back to ya, assumin' I'm livin' to do it. What do you say, Kale?"
ooc: If Kale agrees Merric will use the Broom of Flying and his Eyes of the Eagle to try to find the Dancing Spider.
(If no one can identify, you can always use a short rest to learn its properties...)
If you go up on the broom, give me five perception checks, straight out without advantage or disadvantage. this will tell me how long it takes you to find the tavern, if you even do.
(I'm not sure Kale can find out what the dagger is, he's more than maxed out on attunement items at 4 already. If someone wants to test the dagger out, just take it with Kale's blessings and figure out what it does.)
Handing the dagger off, Kale mounts his broom and whispers "Skedaddle!" Up and away he goes, as he takes the time to scout for the tavern.

Merric bounces the silver dagger in his hand as he watches the bard fly up. Turning to the others, he says “Anyone wantin’ to try this out or is it fer me to try me luck?”
ooc: if no one else takes it Merric will check it over while they wait for Kale to return. When he does, the halfling will put the dagger away until later.
"You are free to play with it as you wish, Merric," Al-Ashari was watching Kale flying up, "the one who could tell us about magic abilities of things around, seems to leave. It happens here quite often."
"Anything resembling Inn so far?" Al-Ashari switched to telepathic speech, addressing Kale.
