(Merric: while you're waiting, you can try to attune to the dagger (takes an hour)... that might tell you what magic properties in has, in lieu of an identify spell which we don't have... You probably have at least an hour since Kale rolled 2 natural 1's and can't see jack up here on his broom...)
Kale leaves his boar with instructions to guard the group as they wait for him to return with news of the tavern.
Merric decides to try to attune the dagger. A glance at the sky suggests it’ll be quite some time until Kale returns. May as well put the time to good use.
Moving to a place near the house at least a little sheltered from the rain, Merric makes himself comfortable and bends his will to attuning this new item.
Ooc: might as well. He will try to attune it. No pain, no madness in the City of Eyes.
Joetaro will attempt to attune to his sword as well. He prays to Selune to guide him and help him discern the nature of the blade and how he can bond with it.

Faldo pulls out his jug and pours himself some of the wine he called for earlier while looking to see what the others are going to do next. He notes to himself with a chuckle that he's never seen so many zombies in one place at the same time -- dozens of them in fact -- what an odd place.
Merric bounces the silver dagger in his hand as he watches the bard fly up. Turning to the others, he says “Anyone wantin’ to try this out or is it fer me to try me luck?”
ooc: if no one else takes it Merric will check it over while they wait for Kale to return. When he does, the halfling will put the dagger away until later.

Attack rolls with this knife score a critical hit on a roll of 15-20.
Search as much as he can, Kale does not see anything that remotely looks like the tavern in question. He returns after 5 hours of searching, wet and cranky.
"We might as well call it a day and return to the safe-house, provided we can find it. If not, I can try to teleport us there." Al-Ashari was tired too, even if mostly from waiting, adrenaline from the fighting was long gone. Some food might be useful as well, even if she specifically did not need much. "At least we have a lead. Shall we return?"
"Let's," Kale said. "I'm not sure if Thursday's goodwill would be enough to keep us safe inside, but I can still make us that magic hut if her house's wards have been dropped. At least we'll be out of this damned rain."
Faldo follows the group. "Safe house sounds good. Based on my first experiences here, looks like I may need to make a few changes to my spells for tomorrow"

"I'm agreein' with me fellow o'the Hin, here," Merric says cheerily, putting the dagger away. It would surely come in handy, especially in his hands. Aye, that it would. "I'd be askin' how far is yer safe house but I've me a suspicion things like distance might be...flexible in this place."
Gesturing for Kale to take the lead, as he seems to be the leader, Merric says in the Cant "I've an item which will help me see well, or at least better than most, in this muck."
Moving with the group, Merric keeps a careful watch in all directions, grateful for the Eyes of the Eagle.

You trudge for several hours, but see no signs of the safe house. You do pass the inn/tavern many of you woke up in when you first arrived, but you do not see the safe house anywhere. The inn/tavern though appears multiple times, on quite a few different streets as you pass down them. From what you can tell the safe house may have disappeared with Thursday, or may have only been available while you were with her..
"Guess it's a tavern then. Seemed to be a constant in that world as well." Al-Ashari was disappointed, but familiar tavern was better than nothing. "On a bright side, we would not need to care about food."The next time the tavern appeared, she walked in and asked for the room, meal and hot water.
"I'd like me a tavern, hot food, and a dry bed about now, if'n we can find out. We've passed a few, or praps the same one. Shall we?" Without waiting, or really caring if his new companions join him, Merric, pushes his way into the tavern the next time they pass it.
As he enters, he calls out "Master O'the Tavern. A mug of somethin' hot, a plate of somethin' hot, and would you be havin' a dry bed, praps, my good man?"
Faldo walks in with the group and toward the innkeeper. "A hearty meals sounds good, I'm a bit peckish after a bit of exercise in the cold and damp. What's on the menu good sir?"
A flickering lamp over the bar shows a portly bald man wiping down a dirty glass with a dirty rag. Empty tables fill the shadowy taproom, and a mouse scurries across the floor, stalked by a tabby cat with long whiskers.
It appears exactly as it did the last time some of you were here.
Cicero gives you a nod of greeting. He looks you over, obviously not at all surprised to see different members to this group than before.
"We have food and ale if you wish it." He confirms as he narrows his eyes a bit, looking at each of you in turn a bit closer, but then seems to relax with a nod. "Does not appear you need my special mix as of yet, but make sure you return if you don't have any other option..."
He sets up ale and food for those who want it, and gets you keys to rooms as you wish.
Not long after you arrive though a loud squeel comes from outside, which is easily recognizable as the boar.
"Hope that was not yours." Cicero says, clearly not at all surprised by the sound. "Bad idea to go about on your own you know..."
There’s a piano in the corner, played by a man with no hands. Sadly, his disability renders him particularly unsuitable for this hobby, a fact he does not let dissuade him

Whitegaze will follow into that original tavern, "Perhaps we can get another tarot reading."
Kale instructs his boar to stand guard outside of the entrance, then steps into the tavern.
"Cicero!" he calls out. "We've returned! Would you happen to have some room and board for our company tonight?"
As he speaks, Kale looks sharply around the tavern, just to check if anything has changed, since their last visit.
