Al-Ashari gave the grumpy Mr. Fiddle a long look, thouched an amulet on her neck and with a very convincing voice made a perfectly reasonable suggestion: "The best of all would be for nurse Joy to pay for the book and present it to us as a welcome gift to the newcomers. I am sure you all can agree to that."Mass Suggestion on nurse and auction workers.
It was risky, but in the worst case they all could just laugh on a naivete of newbies, but in the best...
"Please refrane from doing such again." Blind says with an amused smile, the spell seeming to have no affect on either him or Fiddle. The nurse gives Al-Ashari a glare, but manages to resist the spell as well.
"Let us get on with this." Nurse Joy says to the two running the auction. Those two seem to be enjoying this very much, but nod their heads in agreement.
"We are selling one children's book." Blind announces dramaticly. "Who wishes to bid on it?" The nurse raises her hand as she gives Al-Ashari a smug look.
"I feel exceedingly reassured by that statement," Kale says calmly. "Still, it's no small price you're asking for such a book. Would you mind terribly if any of us had a closer look at it? I expect we wouldn't need touch it, naturally, but I'm curious to see what's so compelling about a book of child's tales."
Mr. Fiddle brings the book over for you to have a look at it. While Mr. Blind starts the auction.
Kale inspects the book carefully, trying to see what's so special about it. "The book shall explain all," he murmurs to himself, studying it intently.

The book does not seem magical in any way. It appears to be just a bunch of children's stories. Fiddle will not let you actually touch the book, and is soon taking it back to the display counter.
"Seems like a simple enough children's book to me," Kale muses with a shrug. "This sort of thing isn't really my style." Waving a hand, he walks off towards the doorway and leans against it, watching the bidding from afar.
As he does so, he takes out his fochlucan bandore and quietly starts to strum a small tune. "Beautiful woman, that Nurse Joy is," he murmurs to himself appreciatively, taking in her form. "Inspiring lady right there..." Singing softly under his breath, he keeps his eyes trained on her as she bids on the book.
"One hour to madness and joy! O confine me not! O to drink the mystic deliria deeper than any other man! O savage and tender achings! O to be yielded to you whoever you are, and you to be yielded to me in defiance of the world! O to return to Paradise! O bashful and feminine! O to draw you to me, and to plant on you for the first time the lips of a determin'd man. O the puzzle, the thrice-tied knot, the deep and dark pool, all untied and illumin'd! O to speed where there is space enough and air enough at last! To be absolv' from previous ties and conventions, I from mine and you from yours! To fina a new unthought-of nonchalance with the best of Nature! To have the gag remov'd from one's mouth! To have the feeling to-day or any day I am sufficient as I am. O something unprov'd! Something in a trance! To escape utterly from others' anchors and holds! To court destruction with taunts, with invitations! To ascend, to leap to the heavens of the love indicated to me! To rise thither with my inebriate soul! To be lost if it must be so! To feed the remainder of life with one hour of fullness and freedom! With one brief hour of madness and joy."
As he finishes the song, he completes the spell to cast Dominate Person on Nurse Joy at a the 7th level. (She must make her Wis 18 saving throw at disadvantage.)
Should it be only the nurse, Al-Ashari would try another trick, but complete and utter resistance of Mr. Blind and Mr. Fiddle made it too dangerous. She send a mental message to Kale "Be very careful - the cards warned us to pay the price, well can be this is the only way." But other then that - did not interfere, just smiled to auction workers, cast her eyes down and said out loud "I had to try".

Kale commands Joy to obtain the book in a bidding war, no matter the cost. After she is successful, she is to declare that she has no need for the book, and gift it to Al Ashari since the other woman wanted it so badly. Afterwards, she is to approach Kale anf compliment him while passing to him any posessions of monetary value she might have on her person, as well as the pin identifying her as an employee of the Asylum, should she have it. She should relay the location of the Asylum to him, her job there, and invite him to visit her sometime. Then she should go willingly with the auctioneers to make the payment. Act as naturally as possible for herself throughout all of this.
Nurse Joy becomes intent on the book, waving her hand again.
"Yes Nurse Joy, we know you have bid." Fiddle says with an annoyed look at the rest of you. "Are any of you going to bid on this or does Nurse Joy get it with a bid of one?"
Thursday tries to find a corner of the establishment no one seems to be in and she will take out her Doss Lute and cast invisibility with it. "You did not mention how much are we bidding here. You said, "the correct amount will be taken" - but what would be that "amount" and what exactly nurse Joy is giving up? Just to know the odds," Al-Ashari did not decide yet if she is going to pay anything but they had to stay in game to continue the game.
"I probably have some strength of character to spare. How much of it do you need?" Thursday asks wryly still on the arm of Whitegaze
