The mirror will only work for the one attuned to it, thus Kale is attuned to it, as part of the wish being granted. I won't go into it further than that, since I would have to give out spoilers to do so. Suffice to say the well took what Kale said to mean the fact he himself was currently holding the mirror when he spoke the wish.
Kale would know it is attuned to him. He would know only he would be able to see anything in it at this point. It would be a surprise, since it was not what he meant by his wish, but it is the facts as they are now.
A voice comes out of the well as you are looking over the mirror.
"Anyone else wish to make a wish?" The voice sounds amused by it all.
The slight correction - instead of asking for mirror (or after the response about attunement), Al-Ashari would send a mental note to Kale and suggest to try again.
Feeling a little weird talking to a well, Whitegaze will continue, looking to the others with his hands spread and eyes wide shaking his head to make it clear he has no idea what he’s doing and would like help, “Ok, but everyone wants something. For that matter, who gave you this purpose?”
"A deal with the devil is more like," Kale replies, holding the mirror up and squinting at it. "Tell me, have you ever in your existence ever granted a wish that has brought the wisher true happiness?"
He pauses as he hears the whispers of Al-Ashari's warning in his mind, then looks at his mirror with renewed interest.
"Everyone... stay back for a moment. I'm going to try to use this mirror again, and I'd prefer if no one else got hurt in the process." Moving to the furthest corner of the courtyard as far away from the party as he can manage, Kale makes sure that the only beings in his close vicinity are a few of the lost, mindless folk who are squatting there. Then, leaning over the mirror, he whispers into it.
This time, Kale uses Thursday's full true name when he speaks, the one which Al-Ashari relayed to him in her mental communication.

Kale sees the mirror's surface cloud over with mist, then clear again. Now you see Hakim Whitegaze standing, in his exact current position, with the surroundings shown in the mirror. You see shadowy figures flow up and around him.
Hakim Whitegaze, make a DC18 Wis saving throw. Take 14 necrotic damage on a failure, half as much on a success.
Kale, with this second use of the mirror you realize a few things. First that it is showing random members of your party when you say the name of one that you are looking for, just as the wording of your wish could be interpreted to mean. Second you realize this is not the primary function of the mirror, just a power that seems to have been 'tacked' on to it. The mirror actually functions as a Crystal Ball of Truesight. It has the following changes, which all only work for Kale.
* It increases your atunement slots by 1.
* When you are searching for a party member, and say that person's name into the mirror, the mirror will show you a random member of your party, and that person takes 4d6 necrotic damage, as shadowy figures surround them in the mirror.

At first Thursday breathes a sigh of relief. But then as she looks out the window she realizes her words were not chosen carefully enough, she had been thinking about it since she read the sign. She jumps down from her old bunk and checks the room.
perception: 27 she at first glances around the room for anything a miss, anything important to her, anything worth taking or valuable.
investigation: 7 she then begins tossing the room. leaving no stone, bunk, or mounted picture unturned.

You find an assortment of stuff. From what you can tell the actual building was brought here, from the world it belongs in. It is minus the people who would have lived in it, but has all of their stuff. In the dorm rooms you find the worthless accumulations of children and teenagers, while you find a bit more of worth in the staff rooms. For the most part it is clothing and odds and ends. You find 65 GP, 110 SP, and 134 copper.
One item stands out though. Sticking up from the floor, in the middle of the common area, is a rapier. It appears to be magical in nature.
Thursday studies the rapier, she shrugs pulls it from the floor and gives it a couple swings. She sheaths it and goes to the door to leave the building. She will take a long look before she leaves as she doesn't want to get lost in the fog.

Kale blinks, then grits his teeth as he realizes the loophole he left in his wish. His frustration ebbs somewhat as he realizes the true function of the mirror, though he winces a bit as Whitegaze takes some unintended damage from the mirror's use. Slipping it carefully back into his pocket, he returns to the others. "Best we leave this be for now... I'm afraid it only has a one-in-eight chance of helping us find Thursday after all." Then, he continues to watch the street for any potential intrusions, as he listens in on Whitegaze's conversation with the well.
You take a moment to look at the rain-shrouded city street before you leave, but don't see anything of concern, or at least more concerning than usual for this place. You do spot the bridge off in the distance and know that is where the others were last. You head back in that direction.
I assume you move stealthily, so give me a stealth roll.
At everyone else...
What are you doing now? Thursday has vanished, you have no clue where she is. It continues to rain.

Np, but do we understand it or need to try to see something in mirror and fail to know it attuned to Kale?

Kale, roll me a d8.
"There was a time, long ago, when I did so..." The voice in the well said, its tone somewhat wistful.
