"There she is, and seemingly no worse for the wear," Kale replies warmly, raising a hand in greeting towards Thursday. Then he continues to watch and see what exactly the strange magic of Elysium is going to do to his broom.
Whitegaze will climb down and move over to Thursday and give her a big, metallic hug, "Where did you go? What happened? Did you bring us back a present?" The last with a little laugh.
Luna gazes at Thursday sternly. "Good to see you're not dead. But do you realize how much we were worrying over where you were? Next time be more careful, don't do anything stupid." She observes the broom, curious as to what would happen with Kale's magic.
"I believe the vote went for the Duchess. However, that could also just be my bias." Soveliss gives a casual shrug, "Regardless, we shouldn't linger in one place for too long."
"Well... the well granted me a wish as the sign said it would. But I don't think I was quite clear enough. I wished to go home but it brought home here... I did however, find a little something special." She pulls out a Rapier. "This one is quite special. But yea, sorry for worrying you all. I didn't think I'd be pulled somewhere like that."

Kale packs away the broom, satisfied with its performance for the time being. "Well, since we're already out in the rain, let's continue to the Duchess' residence. I've little desire to visit the Asylum just yet. I'll keep an eye out for danger, but the more of us who do, the better I think we'll be." He pauses and thinks for a moment. "We're trying to find the Crooked House, according to what Fiddler and Blind told us. ... Does anyone actually know where it is, or do we have to ask someone for directions?"
Kale will keep an eye out in the rain for any disturbances that may be approaching the party. Perception with disadvantage: 25
(OOC: I'm not sure if they told Whitegaze how to get to the Crooked House, or just about it existing, so if anyone knows how to get there let the rest of us know!)
Whitegaze will let go of Thursday as she starts talking, "I agree, off to the Crooked House, but we'll need to find directions somehow."
When they head out, he'll stay towards the front of the party, keeping an eye out for trouble, Perception DA: 17. And eyeing anyone who they come across to see if they're a threat, Insight: 7
(Nope that guy with the six arms and fur waving battle axes and summoning demons is totally harmless)
"Just a suggestion... But direction probably has no meaning here. May be moving itself will be enough and The City will bring us where it wants us to be." Al-Ashari would simply follow the group - so far there was still not enough information to do anything conscious.
"Well," Kale says with a grin, "We could always take the broom up and look for... a crooked house." He waits, but no one's laughing, then sighs slightly. "Yes, yes, wit was never my forte."
You guys walk for several hours, but don't seem to find anything that ends up being the place you are looking for. You also don't pass anyone on the street, so are left to wander aimlessly. After a couple hours it is getting towards night, though it is hard to tell in this place, as the rain beats down on you. At some point the small raven-like bird returns and lands on Soveliss's shoulder. "Dead... You all will die..." It squawks.
As you come around a corner Kale spots the same, or at least a rat looking very similar, to the one from earlier in the day. It points a finger at him again, but no one else in the group appears to see it.
(OOC: you decide you probably cannot find the house on your own, so need to find directions... where do you head? Tell me what sort of place you are looking for in order to get directions... The place has shops, the tavern you started out in, and other businesses you can stop in. Plus you need to find somewhere to rest for the night...)
OOC: Have to say DM's random rolls are truly frightening!
Al-Ashari was first to admit she was tired - after all, hours of walking was not a part of her every day (previous) life. "It's getting dark, and according to our tavern-keeper - deadly. I would like to stop for night somewhere safer than a rainy street. I can still try to bring us all to the tavern where we met or we can find another one, but would love to do it rather soon."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kale's brows knit as he spots the rat again.
"If it's a safe place to bunker down for the night, any free house is as good as the next," Kale says to the others. "I'm used to bunking up in hard situations, I learned a spell or two to help me through those times. My magic hut should be sturdy enough to house all of us, should we find an appropriate place to cast it, and for at least eight hours after that we can catch what rest that one could expect in a place like this."
He seems distracted as he answers, still considering the rat staring him down. "Excuse me a minute... I'm seeing that strange rat again, which I take it the rest of you aren't." Pointing back at the rat, Kale casts minor illusion to form the glowing symbol of the thieves' guild hovering in the air before the rat. Then he walks towards the rat. Using Universal Speech once again, he says to it "You've seen the symbol of my allegiance. If you mean to aide us, my party seeks safe shelter for the evening. But without any further information, I'm afraid I can't allow you to continue to track me. Show some good faith by making yourself apparent to the rest of my friends here, or I'm going to dispel your magic and be done with this."
Oh aye he's really trying to persuade that rat: 35
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Soveliss offers the returning Raven some scraps off food, he looks to the streets as they walk through them and attempts to make a mental map of the city as they travel along it. Combining this with his Familiar's occasional circling and scouting, he tries to make sense of the city's size and complexity.
Whitegaze seems fairly alert still, "I'm good to keep going, but you're right, given the way this place looks, it might take us awhile to find a safe place. But this might also be a good opportunity to try out teleportation, make sure it works while we're ok rather than waiting until we need it in an emergency."
Kale... When you turn to confront the rat it disappears.
Others, are we seeking out the starting tavern or some random place to rest? What about the teleport suggestion? Are you doing that?
As you wander the streets you do notice both the tavern, as well as Thursday's home.
Soveliss, you are more confused than not by the mental map you try to construct, as the fact that several of the streets seemed to have moved between one pass of your familiar and another.
As Kale opens his mouth, he closes it again, seeing the rat is gone, and cancels the illusion spell he was preparing. "If that's how it's going to be..." he mutters with a grunt of consternation, before casting dispel magic on himself (at 6th level, DC 16, automatically ending any spell of 6th level or lower).
Spotting the tavern, Kale points it out to the others. "Isn't that Cicero's bar over there? I can understand if the rest of you don't have full faith in my magical capacities at the moment, but coin has never really failed me when it comes to securing a room. We can ask him if he's letting rooms for the evening."
"Oh so. That's where I was." she points at the large home, "its the orphanage where I grew up in. plenty of bunks. Though, it'll be messy. I tossed the place."
