Al-Ashari contemplated the idea to try one of the summoning ritual, but summons here were unreliable at best, so, for now she decided to walk, with Unseen Servant keeping a makeshift umbrella above her. She would stay in the middle of the procession.

As the group makes their way through the streets, following the tavern keeper's directions of the likely lcoation of the asylum, you come across the below...
A rumbling sound, followed by the ground itself rolling under your feet. Ahead you see a figure running towards you. She is clearly not of this place, wearing a fancy tunic, belted at the waist, and with a pack on her shoulders. She looks frightened, and spots you when you spot her. "Run!" She calls to you, but then two towering creatures burst from the ground between her and you.

Merric Initiative: 18
Mastiff Initiative: I misunderstood Kale's instructions and rolled this before I noticed Kale did as well. Mine was a 21 but figured it was his creature so removed this to avoid confusion.
"Oy, beastie, let's aid the lass! Mayhap we kin distract those things...though I've no trainin' fightin' astride a war beast so you takes care of yerself!" Merric directs the beast to charge at the creatures. As they get to about 10 feet away, he dismounts, sending the mastiff to attack the one on the left while he unsheathes his Rapier of Warning and the new dagger to attack the one on the right.
"Greetins, fair lass. I'm not knowin' if you be needin' savin' but we aim to do that!" Merric moves in cautiously, though quickly, eyes out for attacks, ready to dodge, and angles his approach so he on the far side of his target from the other monster
Mastiff attack: Attack: 11 Damage: 7
Merrick attacks (he took Dual Weapon so now he can use the rapier and dagger both):
Rapier, crit on 19-20, Attack: 20 Damage: 12
Dagger, crit on 15-20, using this weapon for Sneak Attack: Attack: 18 Damage: 8, Sneak Attack Damage: 25
If necessary , he will use Uncanny Dodge as a reaction.
OOC: If he crits with the Dagger, does it double the Sneak Attack damage? Also, is there a way to change the critical range on a roll?
Everyone can go ahead and post actions. Initiative order is:
lia ... mastiff ... Merric go ahead and post the action for the mastiff. Joetaro ... post action. Merric ... post action. Al-ashari ... post action. Kale ... post action. whitegaze ... post action. Neothelids ...
Whitegaze will pull up from his last strike to distract the creature and leave an opening, "Merric, strike now!" (Using his Commander's Strike, giving up my 3rd attack and bonus action for Merric to attack with his reaction, should get advantage from Assassinate, it still hasn't gone, and sneak attack.)
Kale will hit the neolithids with faerie fire from above: dex save 18 or everyone gets adv on attacks. Since Kale goes before whitegaze, whitegaze, you can reroll to try for crits if you like. Also you might want to rethink your 3rd atk since if faerie fire hits merric will have adv.
Bonus action bardic inspiration to Merric. Please note this is infectious inspiration. That means if you fail your roll that you use it on, you keep the inspiration die anyway. If you succeed, Kale can hand out a free inpiration to someone else. so please don‘t sit on it ;) (1d12 to atk, save, or abi check)
ooc: Merric's Sneak Attack will have gone on initiative rank 19, before you can react, and will have been used already with his dagger strike. Does Hakim want to change that part of his action? He'd still have advantage, but not Sneak Attack.
(Re-rolling for crits 1511. Also, sneak attack is once per turn not once per round, so you can use it on your turn and then again with your reaction on my turn due to commanders strike.)
First attack would be a 27 assuming it fails the save.
Merric heeds the call of the stout human warrior, and striking with all the speed of a forest adder back home, dances in against the now distracted creature facing Whitegaze, ramming his new dagger home. "Aye, my big fren...we strike together!"
Attack: Attack: 13 Damage: 8, if crit add: 7, Sneak Attack: 30, if crit, additional Sneak Attack: 21

Thanks. Merric went before Kale so he won't have it until next round. Do I the roll D12 and add it to my other roll?
