Al-Ashari switched to the voice speech: "By now I am afraid we all - those you see around you - learned that this is not a dream. We got here the same mysterious way and seeking a way out. For a moment I hoped it can be you." She smiled to Lia and introduced herself and others. "You can come with us ... Lia, if I see it right - though we are heading to one of the most unpleasant place in that already unpleasant city, or you can continue down the street, there is a tavern there where you can at least rest."
"I have been hunted since I stepped foot in this place." Lia says with a shiver. "I think I'll stay with you guys, safety in numbers and all of that."
The group continues along...
You approach the asylum down a cobbled path, and under a stone arch with the motto “We Take, We Give” engraved into the keystone. A grim fountain stands in the yard of a woman with a jar for a head. Behind the courtyard, two large wooden doors lead into the building.
Merric absentmindedly pats that leathery skin of the mastiff as he surveys the building. His experienced assassin's eyes checking automatically for additional points of entry and egress, choke points, windows, ease of climbing. "Not the most invitin' place, I'm thinkin', eh Jotero?" he remarks to the other halfling.
ooc: Perception 13, what does the little dude see?
The Adamant Asylum is possibly the most populated building in Elysium, and was clearly built with this in mind. Vast halls stretch into the rain and out of sight, with each window shedding a faint harsh light into the street below. The shrieks of the patients can be heard as you approach, though they often disappear as abruptly as they began.

There are many windows you can try for, some dark, some lit up. The main doors seem to be the only door entries you can see though.
"Anyone has any idea how to proceed?" Asked Al-Ashari not specifically addressing anyone. "Searching for "an invisible man, in a place of madness" did not sound like a simple task even before, but with that building..."She shook her head. "Though, there was something about the mirror... "A fetching mirror is a fetching choice. It will bring about the end, one way or another. I see an invisible man, in a place of madness. The treasure lies on his person." Can it be your wicked mirror, Kale?"
Merric moves into building behind Whitegaze, eyes roving constantly, scanning for threats. "Whitegaze, my friend, sometimes I'm thinkin' the...direct approach tis not always the wisest one. I'm fer goin' slow. We might not'n be welcome."
This spacious entrance hall is manned by two rather hideous looking nurses in white aprons. They have purple skin, and tentacles where their mouths should be. Voices chorus in your mind.
Merric nods to the attendants as Jotero exits. "What be happenin' here, lassies? What be the 'Adamant Asylum?"
ooc: Does Merric recognize the creatures? Are they armed? What doors or other exists besides the one we used are in this room?
You hear, in your mind...
This is a place of healing for the sick of mind. The patients here have exhibited dangerous mental traits and instability. Many are kept here for their own safety. Some for the safety of others.
Give me a nature check to see if you know anything about them.
Whitegaze will follow the others as they enter, "This may seem a strange question, but we're looking for a mirror that one of your residents my possess. Any chance that rings a bell?"

With that Al-Ashari was ready to resume the walk.

Joetaro watches the creatures leave before turning to the rest of the group. "I'm ready to continue."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

Whitegaze will approach the door, "Nothing to be gained standing out here in the wet. Who wants the honors of knocking?"
Joetaro will step forward. "I'll do it." He knocks on the door three times.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Nobody comes to answer the door. It does appear more like a business door though and, upon checking, is not locked.
"Yes, I'd love to get in out of this rain." Lia confirms, following whitegaze.
Merric moves into building behind Whitegaze, eyes roving constantly, scanning for threats. "Whitegaze, my friend, sometimes I'm thinkin' the...direct approach tis not always the wisest one. I'm fer goin' slow. We might not'n be welcome."

'Welcome to the Adamant Asylum. Can we help?'
Joetaro smiles at them. "I think we might have found the wrong house." He turns to and walks out of the door.
