The gnome grunts and starts walking back the way you all came. The journey back is uneventful, though you feel a certain watchful tension in the air as you walk. The shadows seem just a touch darker, the air a trifle cooler...
Returning to the light of Ib-Drip's, you notice that the gesticulating dwarf has now taken a seat on his box, and appears to be staring daggers at the Drip's door. He takes no notice of your arrival. A few of the lights around the place seem slightly dimmer than you recall, and the boisterous chatter of gnomes and dwarves seems to have fallen off a little. Still, you can smell, even at this distance, the delicious scents of fresh bread, and something unidentifiably tangy and spiceful swirling through the air as well. You all suddenly remember Zip's hastily given promise of a meal upon your return.
As Sereena focuses on it for a moment, reciting a brief prayer to steady her mind, she is just able to visualize a pattern in the scent. It forms a path, leading straight to Ib-Drip's door.
"Ah, shoot. Shall we?" Gadus asks as he walks towards the door. As he does he flicks his hands and whispers a rhyme (1). "I wonder wonder what's on the other side?" (2)

Beyond the door, you catch slight glimmers of necrotic and abjuration magic, like a faint haze of black fire emanating from within. The door itself is not affected, and it seems that the source of the magic is coming from closer to the far wall of the room beyond the door. It is very quiet inside.
A voice breaks the silence that seems to have fallen over the tavern. It is not in a language you speak, but you recognize the clipped consonants, the chilling tones, and the arrogant intonation. The voice says something in the Drow tongue of the underdark, and several reedy voices answer with brittle laughter.
There are prominent windows on the second and third floors of the building, seemingly leading into common corridor areas above the main room - for guests, likely as not. For one versed in climbing, it should prove to be little to no difficulty, though the windows seem to be sturdily made and are both shut tightly.
“We go in, for dear Drips could be in peril. Allow me to bless you in the name of Ilmater first.” and Sereena casts bless on Anansi, Salazar, and Gladus.
She then holds her Greataxe ready to charge in.

"Hmmph. Well, you can hold on to it if you like, or give it to Zip back at Drip's. It's all the same to me. Ready to go?"
Sereena nods, “Lead the way.”

So, what next?
Anansi looks over at the others. "Dinner before we take on some drow?"

“Does something seem off to you? I’d like a meal but first,” and Sereena casts Divine Sense.
The all too familiar noxious fumes of evil drift by, dimmed slightly by distance or by some perturbation in the subterranean atmosphere...
(OOC Does it seem all over or can Sereena sense a direction it is coming or going?)
”Guys there is an evil about us, something seems different since when we were last here I think.”
Anansi snaps and the blades reappear in his hands. "Well, that's not a great start to the day."

I assume you’re not sensing me then. I know certain faiths have a loose interpretation on evil..

“Guys, I think it may be coming from or going to In-Drips’s. Be ready.”

Bekate sits on his shoulder.
Anansi walks up to the other side of the door and hovers his hand over the handle, waiting for a signal from Gadus to open it.

Salazar will look at the exterior of the inn and try work out if it’s possible to climb up and enter from a window.

"A little necro, a little abjur," Gadus whispers to Anansi. "Not the most fun of styles to play with. What'd you want to do?"
