While making way through the tunnel Delirious whispers to several of the civilians, "Be careful once you get to the castle, I hear they let people just shit wherever."
In response to Hordkhen, "Royal guard, Royals, Titles... What's in a name? I had a name once, I guess it would be fitting to have a name again, let's see, what shall my name be? Delirious! You can call me Delirious Longtouch. Wait what was the question? Oh right, I don't like being told who I can and can't kill or what I can or can't eat or generally being told anything. There is peace in solitude."
I had a premonition oh death and destruction and dreams are interpretive so the content while unpleasant didnt bother me as much as the consistancy of they nature and the frequency of the dream itself the only other tmfeeling I had was that there were answers in this town.... a ****i g dragon seems a little too on the nose so I'm trying to figure out not the what but the why.
What about yourself surely this isnt a typical missionary quest?
Tar snarls and grumbles about the cultist on his shoulder. "Dragon worshippers... desperate to be slaves or food- idiots.. These things stink- and this situation stinks. Illmater needs to inspire these people into building wider walls, palisades, and some torsion engines."
In truth all labors are done by the grace of the lord, but correct. I've heard a rumor that a dear friend of mine might be mixed up with cultists out this way, I'm looking for her... make sure she is safe. I wouldn't normally allow myself to be so selfish, but perhaps it is Ilmater's will that I be on this path.
You continue forward through the tunnel until it opens up to the basement. You lead the rescued townsfolk up the stairs to the main area where the majority of people are staying for safety. Some people are reunited with friends and loved ones, while others lament the loss of family. The dichotomy of the situation makes for an awkward thank you, but you have no time to rest, celebrate, or mourn, as Escobert spots you and waves you down. 'Oi, well done. We were watching you from the roof, most of the time. Right now we have a big problem. This dragon could tear the keep apart if it wanted too, it wasn't designed for this much punishment. Nighthill is up there waiting for you.'

Glad you enjoyed the show since we are going to jump into solving your next problem do you think you can scrape together some supplies I personally could use some armor and a shield... no metal... and please dont look into my tone. Let's go meet with Nighthill.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Are ye all ******** or just the two of ye that look like ye live in the woods? If ye weren't so good at killin' cultists... Let's go." Escobert leads you up the stairs. Toward the top, Nighthill is there keeping an eye on when the dragon breathes lightning and then running out to rally troops and coordinate attacks. Running back in, he sees you and smiles.
"Well done, all of you. Ready for more fun? Let's drive this dragon off shall we?"
Potato enters the west rampart and observes the guards. "This bad. Smoothskins stand in line, smoothskins die. Cousin Tar and Cousin Kod know, dragons love enemy who stand in line. Smoothskins need be, ah..." Potato tries to recall word, and emphasizes by tracing a zigzag line in the air with one claw. "... like this."
"Sorry friend, no weapons on me, my guards all have them." He steps out of the North door and says, "Ready attacks for the next approach, fire when the beast is in range! Serpentine formation!" Then he steps back inside. The twenty guards all take aim to the NW and move around to not be in such a straight line where possible.
Place', Hordkhen and Delirious may act.

After Potato speaks: "He's right- that monster will strafe these men- at least when they hit you on a ship, there's shields on the gunwhal- places to hide or get below." And when Nighthill says there is no spare crossbow... "Goh-Itov...! Not one spare weapon? At least near the water someone would have a harpoon, Escobert, is there anything in storage, grappling hooks, rope, nets, seige tools of any kind?" At Nighthills orders He steps out of the south door but councils him before leaving, "I'm not sure how this will play out- some of your men may even want to get to the courtyard- not like you'll get a good shot at 'em till he's headed right at you or on top of you anyway..." Tar walks a few feet along the rampart, looks to the NW and loads and readies his crossbow to fire as soon as the dragon is in range... mumbling- "...shit this is less than ideal."
"Well, a few men died out there already, you could supposedly take theirs." There are a few light crossbows and short bows out on the parapet.
"Aye, I might have somethin', lad, hold tight, it'll be a minute." Escobert runs back down the stairs as fast as his little dwarven legs will carry him.
Potato now has a magic stone, as does Kod, I will allow throwing that as a readied action or the handaxe you had prepared.
The guards all hold steady their shots.
Place' delivers the aforementioned stones and readies one of his own.
Horkhen and Delirious both ready shots from their weapons.
The dragon Lennithon glides on his 40' wingspan until he reaches the Northwest corner of the keep and breathes lightning that arcs all the way across the North wall, wide enough to make their new serpentine formation nearly useless, killing 3 guards outright and knocking 2 more unconscious. Then continues his flight until he hovers over the NE corner of the keep.
Anyone my take their held action at this point, but roll at disadvantage if your range warrants it, you can use any point in his path from West to East to make your attack for range purposes. The squares are 10'. The guards all fire shortbows and Light crossbows as he advances to slaughter them.
