Delirious puts a hurting on the berserker in his face, with a one, two, slash that brings him within an inch of his life.
Lyria moves about 10' to bring Kamag back from the brink by forcing a healing potion down their throat. Kamag is now awake and looking up at their savior who looks surprisingly angelic with the dim halo of lamplight behind them.
Place' makes a clever quip and then whips a magic stone at Berserker #1, taking the last inch of life that was left, as promised. They topple backward down the stairs. The second rock hits #2 squarely on the back of the head. Blood starts to trickle from his nose, he does not look well.
The last standing berserker screams with furious rage, looks around the room at all of you, and pours everything he has into what he assumes will be his final attempt at anything. "For Cyanwrath!" He swings at Kod, as reckless as ever: Attack: 15 Damage: 11 But Kod knocks the blow out of the way with his shield.
Hordkhen and Kamag are up. Berserker 2 is alive, and attacks have advantage.

Kamag shaken but invigorated by his close brush with the hereafter, turns to the remaining berserker and shouts "I have been sent back by death itself help you find your way to hell!"
Charging the remaining berserker Kamag swings viciously for it's chest.
...and Kamag would have missed if not for a blessing from the Gods through Lyria. His greataxe sinks deep into the berserker's chest, and Kamag needs to use his foot to help wrench it out. The Berserker falls dead.
Combat is over.
Now that you are not in the middle of a fight, you notice more about the room you're in.
This chamber has been enlarged and reshaped from its original form. The floor and three of the walls are smooth, and stalactites and stalagmites have been polished into gleaming columns. Every surface glistens with moisture, and the air is warm and humid. The flat walls of the chamber are decorated with shallow abstract carvings of dragons. Dragons’ tails coil into intricate patterns and knots that flow across the walls. The creature portrayed in the northwest corner stands out: a five-headed dragon, rising from an erupting volcano. Other dragons, which seem dwarfed by the five-headed monstrosity, flock to its side. A small, wooden chest with silver and mother-of-pearl inlays sits on the floor in the corner, in front of the monstrous dragon carving.
What are you all doing?
Aside from the stairs you came in from, there are stairs leading down to the East and a path leading Southwest. Updated Map:
Kod in his rage doesn't notice that the foe in front of him is dead and takes one more big swing at the corpse. Then looks around. Seeing there are no more enemies he calms down a little taking deep breaths. He throws up a little in his mouth from ingesting too much blood and chokes it back hoping no one noticed. He looks at the walls and notices the 5 headed dragon and pauses on it. He tries to recall what he would know about the figure depicted.

Kamag bows in gratitude to Lyria. "Your blessings and mercy are indeed strong, I am eternally in your debt." To Kod he yells "So is that a picture of your grandad? Could be more trouble down those stairs." Kamag ventures closer to the stairs, listening and sniffing the air.
Delirious sheaths his swords and collects his bow from off the ground. "You lot seem to be in the business of collecting scars, you should do like me and just not get hit. It's all about that rich Kobold anus stew... Ah! Can't wait to feel that good ol' anus slide down my guts."
hey guys i am hanging on for life here i need a cool hour to heal up if not i can use the rest of my magic to heal in which case i'll be tapped for a fight, what say you?
Anyone looking at the 5-headed dragon recognizes it as Tiamat and knows she was banished to the Nine Hells long ago and remains imprisoned there. The volcano could represent anything, her lair? Her birth? Who knows? The dragons at her side are obviously her subjects, as she was labeled the queen of chromatic dragons.
Kamag sees a large chamber that opens up into darkness past the 15' of stairs. Only because of your darkvision, you see a dropoff to the south of the room that you can't make out anything past, and the cave continues past the reaches of your vision.
You are all welcome to take a rest if that's what you want to do, short or long, but a long rest has a higher chance of you being found by wandering things...

So you decide to plant your ass right where you are, in a room that has three different entrances, two of which are unexplored paths, where you just eeked out a victory against a very tough and unexpected enemy and are quite worse for wear. A tactically sound decision!
Upon spending about 10 minutes in the room and relaxing, your vision idly wanders around and you inevitably notice that black dragons are over-represented proportionally in the carvings on the wall. Of the five types of chromatic dragons, about half of the ones depicted are black. There is also the small, wooden chest with silver and mother-of-pearl inlays that sits in front of the Tiamat carving that no one seemed to notice.
At this point in time, your short rest is not complete, so you can't roll hit dice or recover your short rest abilities yet. However, you have options right now. You can choose to do one thing:
If you want to investigate the over-representation of Black Dragons, Roll a straight Intelligence Check (d20+INT Mod) as well as a Perception Check.
If you want to listen and look for wandering monsters, roll a Perception Check.
If you want to interact with the chest, describe what you are doing and roll the appropriate check. It has a keyhole, so you can assume it is locked.
If you don't want to do any of these and have your own idea on what to do, please do so, but post something. I will not continue until everyone has posted. Also, let me know where in the room you are resting. If you don't I will simply assume that you sat down wherever you were when combat ended, here is the map:

Hordkhen grumbles to himself a moment, takes stock of the open room, and pauses a moment checking frills and neck scutes for injuries. He watches everyone crane their necks looking for sign of movement and his tired eyes pass over the slumped warrior with a yawning chest cavity. *Spits* ... the vacant stare is obscured a moment with a sizzle. Plopping himself down on the carcass like a log to rest on, he studies the Dragon Relief and the Black Chest... INT 9
