Falshen raises a hand to pause the conversation. "Before we plan further, might I suggest that I move out of earshot? That way, should any... outside force manage to take control of me, it will not be able to know our defensive plans from my own memory of the conversation. I will wait in my room, unless anyone has a better idea."
Engaging in the arcane Identify ritual, Gregor learns that the Stone enables one who is attuned to it to cast the Legend Lore spell.
Gregor's spell also identifies the Stone as not only an object, but also somehow an aberration, possessing a nature more akin to one of the creatures of the Far Realm than to an ordinary piece of earth imbued with magical properties.
Gathering in the Library on the third floor, Ian remaining outside the door while the contractors begin their work downstairs, the party wait for an hour while Falshen attunes himself to the Stone of Golorr.
After an hour of quiet concentration, Falshen is fully attuned. He can now use the Stone to cast Legend Lore up to three times a day. The three charges refresh every day at dawn.
Opening his eyes, Falshen glances about his assembled companions. A pensive look to his eyes, the rogue purses his lips quizzically. "I seem to be attuned to the Stone. What now? Shall I attempt to use the lore spell to locate the Hoard?"

Irma nods in agreement, “ and in the mean time I’ll cast Protection for Good and Evil on you. The duration is 10 minutes.”
Gregor is going to prepare Detect thoughts, Sleep, and Suggestion and will be on standby for the attunement.
Ian will pull out some of the weirder items that he hasn’t had the time to investigate yet, saying,
”Before we start, does someone more in tune with investigating items want to take a look at these?”
Ian pulls out the ‘Hand (likely drow) stashed in a Bag’ as well as the ‘Inhumanly Large Eye Stalk’.
“Noska, bless his roasted stump, had these on his person in addition to his ring of keys.”
Falshen makes a face at the smell of the loose body parts (whether real or imagined).
The hand is dry and withered and smells musty, like an old house full of incontinent cats and sadness.
The eye-stalk smells like it was preserved in the inhumanly pungent brine your weird great-aunt used to pickle her cabbages.
Gregor will begin rituals of Identification.

Irma says to the group, "so how shall we get started? Do we hand the stone off to a person to hold?"
I believe Falshen has already eagerly volunteered himself as tribute.
Ian will go ahead and retrieve Falshen.
Once Falshen returns Irma will cast Protection from Good and Evil on him again.
With the party at the ready, Falshen attempts to attune to the Stone of Golorr...
Note - the process of Attunement requires a Short Rest, at least 1 hour long.
During this time the Protection from Good and Evil spell will wear off, and workmen will arrive to begin renovations at the Manor.
Is there a particular room in the Manor the party will be occupying during this process?
Ian suggests the party sequester upstairs in a room for the ritual. He will mind the door while the others dally with the devil stone.

Gregor nods, "Please proceed. We're standing by in case things get eldritch."
Ian pokes his head in, “Any news? Has his soul been supplanted by the demon stone?”
Focusing on the Stone, Falshen attempts to use its Legend Lore spell ability to learn the location of Neverember's hidden hoard of dragons.
