Peri:
Springing up the ladder to the poop deck, Peri laughs, "I'm the pirate here, and I'm takin' yer ship, yer crew, and that fancy hat o' yours!" He stabs his spear at the Captain's thigh Attack11 for 12 damage.
As the Captain's leg buckles, Peri follows up with a kick to the man's liver, trying to disable him. 19 for 4 damage.
((Sorry to interferewith Gerrard's duel, but I can't reach the crewman.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gerrard:
OOC: A parry used and 5 damage. Got it.
Staggering back from the powerful attack, Gerrard recovers his guard and smiles in relief as Peri joins him. "We can talk Letter of Marque later, Master Fenwader--it goes better if you call yourself a 'Privateer' instead of a pirate, by the way," he quips, taking another pair of shots. Feinting for the captain, Gerrard stabs at the nearby crewman instead, hoping to catch him off guard and even up the odds in the hero's favor (attacking the crewman; if he goes down, any remaining attacks on the captain).
Elegant Rapier Attack: Attack: 21 Damage: 9
Main Gauche Attack: Attack: 8 Damage: 6

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Gerrard cleanly dispatches the attacking sailor, although it takes both blades to do so. (OOC: With two-weapon fighting, shouldn't you omit the bonus on the second roll? Or am I missing a special fighter feature?)
Peri sinks his spear into the captain's side, and successfully launches a powerful kick into the man's torso, but the man's body feels as dense as a tree trunk. This guy is as solid as clay. The Captain grimaces; that hurt him.
"Your scalp will make a good hat, you foul midget," he spits.
Peri catches a quick flash of arcane green light out of the corner of his eye. He glances to his right to see the Stone departing northwest, diagonally toward the shoreline, on the opposite side of the ship from where you boarded.
"You'll pay for that!"He growls as he busts free of the hook-mans flimsy hold. "No kitchen utensil is going to stop this dwarf, even if it's stuck to the arm of a stinkin' pirate" He bats the spatula away and swings in retaliation.
Qivys breaks free. The massive, bearded boatswain easily parries Qivys' hammer with his own hammer. He is incredibly strong. A small scrap of Qivys' banged-up plate is still attached to his hook. (OOC: Bless no longer active.)
Dwal fires off a quartet of glowing darts, pummeling the hook-handed pirate with four powerful arcane blows. His hat smokes a bit and he staggers from the blast. A flash of fear crosses his face.
The bo's'n grimaces and takes another swipe at Qivys with his hook: Hook attack: 6. Piercing damage: 8
Frithoff misses completely, and embeds his hook in the base of the mast, which runs through the center of the hold.
Meanwhile the two crew hands, perhaps out of regained confidence, or perhaps out of quiet panic, step forward and swing their scimitars at Dwal: Scimitar attack #1: 9. Slashing damage: 5 Scimitar attack #1: 10. Slashing damage: 6
Dwal easily parries the two attackers.
"No quarter!" shouts Frithoff to his two surviving compatriots.
Qivys and Dwal may act again. (BTW: Qivys is standing between a pair of narrow ladders that lead up the hatch above. The mast is to his left, bolts of cloth to his right. Lashed kegs are lined up behind Frithoff.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gerrard:
Keeping up the pressure, Gerrard continues to stab at the smuggler captain with his glowing Moongleam Rapier and Main Gauche, saying, “Your smuggling days are over, pirate.”
Peri joins Gerrard in pressing home the attack, looking to overwhelm the bloodied captain's defense. Spear attack: 16 Damage: 6 Followed up with a flying knee: 18 Damage: 4
He calls out over the rail, "Ahoy, Fossie! Don't leave just yet! The ship is ours, but we're gonna need a pilot to get into port!"
Gerrard stings the captain again with his rapier; Perry finishes him off with a spear deep into his voluminous gut. He collapses onto the deck. The battle is won. The flying knee once again becomes a victory dance.
Peri's call to Fossie is in vain, however – the leaky ship is too far away for her to hear. But as he looks, just at the edge of his devil's sight, he sees one figure throw the lifeless form of another off the side of the little vessel.
"Master Fenwader, is our pilot abandoning us? Do I need to chase her down? Or should we drop in on the fight below?" asks Gerrard, apparently ready to leap into the water in the direction Peri had been calling for Fossie, trusting in his armor to enable him to swim to the boat.
OOC: Gerrard hasn't taken a move action from the last round, so he could dive off the ship if needed this round depending on Peri's tactics--or he could move towards the cargo hold as he likely still hears the sounds of battle coming from below. Based on Peri's guidance, he will do one or the other--ending up in the water where the railing is gone or dropping into the cargo hold where the combat is (Acrobatics if needed: 24).

"Might be we could put an end to this with no more killin'." He picks up the captain's sword and hands it to Gerrard. "If you're goin' down there, show 'em this and maybe they'll surrender."
((Fossie, NOOOOO!!! Does your cruelty know no bounds? To dangle such alluring beauty, only to snatch it from Peri's grasp!
On a positive note, I'd call this a good night's work! By my count, there's 7 pirates/smugglers dead, 1 more nearly so, 1 KO'd, 2 overboard (though the wizard seems to be making his escape), and 2 more crew you might convince to surrender. And we didn't even have to torch the ship!))
OOC: I am guessing that grabbing the sword and getting down into the hold will take more than just the move action Gerrard has left this round, so should we say he was able to sheathe his Main Gauche and grab the Longsword and be ready to drop in the next round?

Qivys swings his hammer at Frithoff, but the foul pirate fends it off with his own hammer.
Dwal slams the crewman on his right, fracturing a couple of ribs and probably a humerus as well. He shrieks from the impact but remains standing.
Frithoff wrenches his hook out of the mast with a growl and swings again at Qivys: Hook attack: 21. Piercing damage: 9
The hook once again bites deeply into Qivys, and he is once again grappled. Foul Frithoff chuckles.
The bosun's two henchmen nervously continue their assault on Dwal: Scimitar attack #1: 13. Slashing damage: 6 Scimitar attack #2: 8. Slashing damage: 7
Dwal easily holds off his attackers.
Meanwhile, Gerrard grabs the dead captain's sword. (The only way Peri and Gerrard will make it all the way down into the hold and still engage with Frithoff in the same turn will be to succeed in two back-to-back DC10 Acrobatics checks - one for each deck. Failure will result in a delay in attacking and possibly even fall damage, depending on the roll. Choosing a slower and more careful dash action may be more prudent, but far less stylish...)
Dwal will his his War Priest ability and attack twice. The first attack will be to the pirate he has hit before and the second attack he will attack the 2nd pirate.

Meanwhile, Gerrard is simultaneously attacked again by both the captain and his crewman.
The sailor goes first, hacking at Gerrard again with his scimitar:
Scimitar Attack: 16 Slashing Damage: 7
Gerrard fends off the scimitar, but only barely.
The Captain takes another huge swing with his powerful longsword:
Attack: 25. Damage: 10
Critical hit added damage: 1
Gerrard parries again, but can only somewhat mitigate the Captain's incredibly strong swing. (Subtract 6 superiority die from damage.)
The Captain's blade cuts into Gerrard's ribs.
"Ye' board my ship. Ye' burn my sails. Ye' kill my men. Who's the pirate here?" asks the Captain.
Qivys, Gerrard, Peri, and Dwal may all go.

Qivys
Athletics 11 (Bless still active? + 4)
((Who needs Bless? Dwals luck is contagious))
"You'll pay for that!" He growls as he busts free of the hook-mans flimsy hold. "No kitchen utensil is going to stop this dwarf, even if it's stuck to the arm of a stinkin' pirate" He bats the spatula away and swings in retaliation.
Attack: 16 Damage: 6 plus 2 Divine Favor
Qivys breaks free. The massive, bearded boatswain easily parries Qivys' hammer with his own hammer. He is incredibly strong. A small scrap of Qivys' banged-up plate is still attached to his hook. (OOC: Bless no longer active.)
"Git outta me hold," he growls.
Dwal is up.

Meanwhile, Peri and Gerrard continue their battle with the captain.
The captain turns his attention to the new interloper. "Go back to the Abyss, you foul wingless imp."
He takes a massive swing at Peri:
Longsword Attack: 7. Slashing Damage: 14
Peri easily dodges.
Gerrard and Peri may act. The fire in what's left of the sails has gone out; the only light is from the signal lantern, resting on the deck.

Attack 9 Damage 10
((Bonus points for the sultry eyes he throws at the pirate??))
