Kei and Elbin take their leave from the party. Elbin joins Kei long enough to finish their conversations, but ultimately declines his offer for a place to stay, opting instead for the Mariners' Guildhall, where he's been staying with Peri's financial assistance.
As for Kei,
Kei finds a spare bedroll under the Empty Net, thanks to some shady fellows he befriended the other night.
Unless there is other business to do or discuss, shall the party retire for the night back at the Goat? Is everyone still planning to head to the goblin hole in the morning (perhaps after meeting with Kei regarding Elbin's future?)
Peri has passed the point of no return where - as everyone knows - you're already drunk so you may as well keep going. He will drink himself into a stupor (not far off, given his low mass) at the Snapping Line, unless Gerrard intervenes to redirect him to the Goat. He's not carrying any weapons or gear, so if it comes to trouble he'll be fighting unarmed, which is probably best. Once he passes out that'll be it for the night.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gerrard;
With everyone taking their leave and going to bed, Gerrard attempts to steer Peri to bed as well so he will be more useful in the morning on the trip to the goblin hole. Now that Kei isn't with them, they should have no trouble returning to their rooms at the 'Goat
Having seen this too many times with his older brother, Gerrard does his best to get Peri to drink some water before going to bed. He is thankful that Elbin went his own way, as the mysterious Kei seemed like he was up to something, even given his claim to be the lad’s uncle.

Gerrard had a dream about giant frogs. Peri is hung over, with a pounding headache. They meet for breakfast in the tavern of the Goat, where Lankus serves them plates of greasy meat and soggy fruit. Oceanus joins them. Qivys hasn't turned up yet. There was talk of Kei stopping by to sort out work for Elbin this morning, although you also have plans to head out for the day to the goblin hole.
A thick fog envelops the town, although it's noticeably warmer than yesterday.
The usually exuberant halfling shuffles slowly down the stairs to the tavern room, a towel wrapped around his waist. Although he looks like death warmed over, he still managed to tuck into his breakfast with gusto. After shoveling in more than it seems his frame should be able to hold, he leans back with a sigh. "Nothin' like a hearty breakfast to settle the stomach." He looks around the room. "Still no Qivys, eh?" He explains to Dwal, "While you were off 'findin yourself' Qivys lost his mind. Word in town is he was last seen chasin' that damned parrot down the street with his pants around his ankles." He grins. "Well, that's not precisely the way I heard it, but it's how I'm gonna tell it!"
"To answer your question, I believe Lord Gerrard here was plannin' on checkin' out that goblin hole today. Or do you want to wait around and see if the chicken-chasin' fool turns up?"
“I’m ready for some action...I say we take whomever wants to come with us to explore the goblin hole today, then try to find Master Quvys tomorrow. I’ll set aside his share of the loot for now,” says Gerrard, adding, “Oh, that reminds me, here is your portion, Brother Fiercehammer.”. Gerrard hands over the share.
”Let’s hope he returns in time for the Council meeting. If not, we will have to either try to search him out ourselves, or give him up for lost...You said he didn’t even have his equipment with him, Master Fenwader? Hopefully he means to return and reclaim it and we will see him then. I’m sure his explanation will be most...enlightening,” hopes Gerrard.

You discuss the day's plan. As you recall, the goblin hole is a couple of hours hike or ride to the north, outside of Saltmarsh, on a rocky summit clearing just west of a scrubby valley on the road to Burle. You recall that Toktok, "Lord of the Ghoch", had fallen down a hole in what appeared to be ruins. The uneven bottom of Toktok's hole was about 15 feet down through a narrow gap on the surface. When you left, however, Toktok was nowhere to be seen or heard, but you couldn't quite see the whole underground cavity from the surface, as it extended north under a massive stone ledge on the surface. You'd have to climb in to fully see, and that would require a rope or other aid.
But that was almost a week ago. Right now you're still at breakfast, sorting out your cash, gawking at Dwal's hair, and wondering if Elbin or his troublesome uncle would show up before you depart.
Lankus brings "breakfast ale" and a stack of borderline-burnt flapjacks. "Are you fellows going to stay out of trouble today?" he asks. "I don't often tolerate fights outside my business," he adds, eyeing Gerrard.
”My apologies, Innkeeper. Given the situation, it was my attempt to deescalate the situation,” offers Gerrard. “I believe we plan to take our trouble elsewhere today, Master Lankus. Please keep an eye out for Master Qivys if you would. We seem to have misplaced him,” he concludes.

"Aye, Lankus. I'll keep an eye on the lordling, see he doesn't cause any more disturbances. You know those young nobles: a coupla drinks and they're ready to fight the world." Before Gerrard can protest Peri addresses him. "I think a walk will do my head good. Fortunately the sun never shines in this dismal village, so I won't have that to contend with. I will need to round up some trousers; mine appear to have been burgled right out of my room last night. Can't go about explorin' mysterious caves in a towel." He turns to Dwal. "You visited my room last night. Did you happen to see any suspicious persons loitering in the hall? Or anyone carrying trousers about yea big?"
Dwal takes it all in with some quiet reflection. When he finally speaks up he says: "I do not like this about Qivy's. It doesn't sound like him to go off on a drunken escapade. Nothing a responsible dwarf would do an he's responsible dwarf." Dwal looks at the rest of the party around the table. "I do not like that ye take his leaven so casual. After what ye seen so far with pirates and villainous guards, I'm shocked ye just place this goblin traipsing over him." Dwal stops and thinks a moment."I'm gonna alert the guards to be on the look out and I'll walk with ye to this goblin hold but, if'n we get back and there be no word of Qivy's, I'm gonna set out and look for him on me own." Dwal states.
After hearing Peri's questions Dwal replies. "Find yer own damn pants, stubtoes.' He then looks to the noble and Peri and says "There is something still foul about this place and ye have places yerselves in their sight by our doings. Ye best take that serious instead of drinking and carousing all night like teenagers. I be off the do some shopping for things that might be needed, ye best finish up and do the same. I'll be back in an hour."
With that Dwal gets up, uses Mage Hand to push his chair back in and goes out the door.
With that Dwal heads out to go to his apartment. His thoughts go to his missing friend then to the scoundrels of this small town. Once he makes it home he will check his gear and armor, don his armor and pack. "Come on Bjorn" he tells his dragon friend "We are gonna go explore some goblin holes." He will then head back to the Goat.
After Dwal leaves rather brusquely, Gerrard says to Peri, “Brother Fiercehammer seems to be in a dour mood this morning. There was no mention of Master Qivys being coerced or in the company of anyone when he left, was there?”
Thinking for a moment, Gerrard says, “Well, while we are waiting for Brother Fiercehammer to return and Master Kei to show up, perhaps we can look for clues to Master Qivys’ disappearance.” Calling over the innkeeper, he adds, “Master Lankus, could you tell us the truth of Master Qivys’ exit yesterday? We are worried about him. We might also want to search his room for clues to his recent...erratic behavior, if you think it wise.”

Lankus replies, sincerely, "Of course. I'm happy to help you help your friend. Tell you what, though - he still owes me 15 silver for the past three nights room and board, plus another gold for all the ale, plus another five silver to change his locks if you can't find your friend or his key. So if you can settle up his bill for 3 gold, I'll let you in. And if he comes back with his key, I'll refund the five silver." He brings over another plate of fried meat. "Foggy one out there today."
”Sounds fair to me,” says Gerrard, settling up using Qivys’’ share. “Come on Master Fenwader, let’s do some investigation,” he suggests, standing up and heading to Qivys’ room to investigate. Given his low Wisdom, he will Help Peri search (Help action).

He watches Dwal leave. "Awful huffy for someone who woke me up in the middle of the night to rant about magic ladies. Still, he's right about Qivys. He isn't as stuffy as Dwal, but he isn't the frivolous sort either. If that parrot had been in the mage's cabin I'd think it bewitched him. As it stands, I don't know what got into him. It's only been a day so far; I say if he hasn't returned when we get back from the goblin hole, then we go lookin'for him." Peri will accompany Gerrard and Lankus up to the dwarf's room and look for clues.
Lankus lets Gerrard and Peri into Qivys room. It's a dank mess, filled with spoiling food and a couple of stale mugs of flat ale. An unidentified liquid is half-dried on the floorboards. In the middle of the room lay the parrot's empty cage, it's door open. His equipment and loot is piled in a corner, including the banged-up plate mail, a set of dice, a stack of gold coins, a piece of an old banner, and a bunch of other stuff.
Gerrard helps Peri investigate the room (Help action), being sure to be respectful of Quivys’ possessions but still being thorough in case there is some clue that might indicate an undue influence on the dwarf’s behavior.
“I don’t know how we can track him down unless we find a clue here,” says Gerrard, asking, “What do you think, Master Fenwader?” Gerrard makes a pile of Qivys’ share next to his existing gold pile, saying, “Next time someone else keeps track of the coin—these dwarves make it tough to deliver their share sometimes.”

The party returns to Goat for the night, but not before you discover that Peri has lost his pants somewhere.
The crowd at the Goat has changed somewhat, and you have no trouble making your way back upstairs to bed.
(We'll set up the morning adventures, soon!)

Dwal
Dwal will take breakfast at the Goat. He will stroll in and take a seat with the group and order a light breakfast.
"Morning Lads!" he says cheerfully. "So what's on the agenda for the day?" he asks.
Those that take the time to notice will see Dwal's hair has turned to the color of a new snow, both locks and beard.
Peri:
