Peri pulls out a piece of chalk and draws a line across the corridor about a foot short of the tripwire, then writes TRAP in case anyone forgets. Then he crosses to the other side and repeats the process, so that they don't trip it coming back. "No reason anyone gettin' killed after we got what we came for. I'll just have my ghostie friend open the door. I don't see any magic on it, and it'd be peculiar to put their traps so close together, but the folks who built this place loved their traps. You think it was made by kobolds? I hear they're even trickier than goblins. Anyhow, just to be safe, we might wanna duck around the corner while my helper opens the door." Once again Peri casts unseen servant to summon an invisible force right in front of the door to take the brunt of any traps. He waits for anyone who wants to take cover to do so, ducking around the corner into the fake treasure room, then has the servant open the door.
Peri chalks notes on the stone floor on both sides of the tripwire, summons his invisible buddy, and exits the room. (Does anyone else join him in the false treasure room?)
Gerrard goes around the corner to the south, but peeks down the hallway to the west, watching around the corner to see what might be revealed in the room beyond.
(Just SW of Dwal's current position).

Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Inside is a small, dusty, cobwebbed chamber containing nothing but a loaded ballista, trained on the doorway. It fires. Ballista attack vs Unseen Servant (AC 10, HP 1): 20 Hit: 25 piercing damage
With a shattering *bang* the old ballista leaves a sizable gash in the cobbled wall on the north side of the corridor. The unseen servant departs to the unseen afterlife to join his recently departed unseen comrade. All is quiet again.
Treading gingerly, and examining his surroundings carefully, Gerrard peeks around the corner of the eastern hallway. From the dim light of his blade, he can only see a corridor leading north into the gloom.
Dwal will move to Gerrard's location. He will pull out a torch and light it using Prestidigitation. Dwal will then move it ahead using Mage Hand slowly, trying to illuminate as much space as possible slowly.
"Seems kind of a waste, usin' up a spell like that. Still, beats bein' on the wrong end of that bolt." He follows along behind Bokotiger, up on the wall so he can see over her.
Dwal moves his torch as far as his spell will allow, and they can just make out the far end in the flickering light.
Neither Gerrard nor Bokotiger can see anything other than more cobblestone and brick. No tripwires, nor much of anything else of note. The passage ends in a T.
”Master Fenwader, we have a few more doors up here; shall we back up and let you repeat your scouting method?” asks Gerrard.
“Or should I open this door from the side and see what happens?” he adds, understanding that Peri may not want to run through all his spells just scouting.
Still sulking, Kei follows along as the group moves from the ballista corridor into the unexplored hallway. As Dwal's torch floats down the hall Kei pushes to the front of the party. "This is taking too long. Clearly Peri's little friends can't open all these doors, so let's just get it over with." He hastily opens the door to the south.
"Yeah, I can--" is as far as he gets before Kei's outburst. "Or, y'know, Kei can do it. Why waste a spell when you've got a crabby bard to throw at the traps?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kei opens the door to the south with an air of irritation. It's another ballista trap, identical to the last, and angled toward the party. Ballista attack vs Kei: 23 Hit: 10 piercing damage
Dwal will move forward to make sure Kei doesn't bleed to death.
"Might want ta hold off on temptin' tha gods." he tells Kei. He turns to the rest of the party. "Do we really need ta explore tha rest of this place?" he asks. "We ain't in tha best shape an a few more of those an' we are part of tha furnishings.?"
Dwal will give Kei the Goodberry that Boko gave him. (10)
"Take these lad, they'll help with tha pain." he tells the bard.
Dwal tags along.

Gerrard:
”Smart,” says Gerrard, backing off and letting Peri’s magic open the door. He will have both his weapons out, just in case.

”And here I was thinking you were a bit paranoid,” says Gerrard, shortly after jerking his head back as the ballista bolt passes by.
”What next, oh prescient Master Fenwader?” he quips, looking to the east where the hallway appears to open up a bit.

Staying where he is, Gerrard looks for more tripwires or any other dangerous traps, though he is not particularly well-equipped to do so...
