Remembering the casual savagery of the last minion of Iuz they fought, Gerrard surges through the fiery breath with weapons drawn and stalks up to Xondros, growling, “For the crew of the Soul of Winter!,” striking fast and hard at the treacherous woman!
Realizing they are below full strength and having no idea of her true capabilities, Gerrard goes all in.

Peri:
Gerrard emerges from the flames with steel in hand, launching himself at the woman. Good to see his 'noble restraint' isn't holding him back any longer! Better guard his back while he's focused though. He slips back to stand between the two minions.
Most monks feel their purpose is to strive to attain 'ultimate enlightenment;' they cloister themselves away from the mundane world to limit their distractions from this goal. But Peri had met a monk who was a passenger aboard his ship who rejected this view. "What good is attaining enlightenment if the rest of the world is shrouded in darkness and ignorance?" the woman had asked. Peri very much agreed.
He had achieved a breakthrough last night, but he hadn't been able to fully make sense of it. He had clearly reached out to the astral plane, but had been surprised to still feel so connected to this plane. And he hadn't been able to move himself through the plane as he'd read of others doing. After he had fallen asleep his unconscious mind had intuited what his intellect hadn't been able to solve: he hadn't traveled to the astral plane at all; he had brought it to him! One small sliver of it at least.
His face split in a disturbing smile, Peri shares this enlightenment with the minions of Iuz. A flash of silverish light bursts from him ((any bad guys within 10' make a DC14 DEX save or take 10 force damage)) and two long, thin, whiplike tendrils seem to reach up out of him from somewhere between his shoulder blades. They're somehow there but not quite there, translucent and ethereal. Then suddenly they coalesce into solidity and whip outward, one at each of the henchmen. Astral Arm Attack #1: 11 for 9 force damage to Kosrus Astral Arm Attack #2: 11 for 5 force damage to the unnamed assistant
Each must make a DC14 CON save or be stunned
((Since this is all new, Bonus Action = Arms of the Astral Self, Action = 2 attacks with Stunning strike, 3 Ki points burned))
Peri has grown. Well, not grown but grown. Kei was impressed by the new skills his diminutive friend had developed.
With Peri's new 'arms' intent on slapping around the cronies Kei focuses on keeping everyone just that little bit safer. He draws a tattered card from his pouch and throws it at the ground. It lands face up. The Hermit. As if the flow of time slows the whole room seems to wobble. He then focuses on Xondros. Placing the fingers of his left hand to his temple he whispers a primordial word that even he wasn't aware he knew. A 10ft long tentacle appears close to the Quartermaster. It lashes out in similar fashion to Peri's new appendages.
In a lightning-quick flurry of dauntingly precise strikes, Gerrard cuts down Xondros in seconds. She is, rather immediately, quite dead. (That "Glowing Rapier Attack #2" could be applied to the unnamed assistant, but 14 glances off the tough tiefling.)
Peri turns his attention on the henchmen. A burst of silver fills the small room as the ghostly arms appear. (DC14 Dex Saves: Kosrus:7, #3: 15)
Kosrus is slammed by the arm. DC14 CON Save vs stun: 17.
The other henchman manages to skirt the astral appendages.
...Kosrus goes down – not stunned, but dead. Only the second assistant remains. He looked grievously seared by the blast from the appearance of Peri's arms, the skin on his face beginning to peel away. But he remains expressionless as he gathers himself up to take his revenge.

A - cast Word of Radiance on the remaining enemy (DC13 CON save)
BA - Tentacle of the Deep Attack 22 for 5 cold damage.
Peri easily dodges the creature's mad flailing attack. He looks around the room, surprised by the speed with which the trio has dispatched two foes. "We've picked up a few tricks since our first visit!" He whips his spear around and rams it butt-first into the thing's sternum, and brings it up into its chin. Spear attack #1: 21 for 9 nonlethal damage Spear attack #2: 21 for 10 nonlethal damage
"Kei, can you keep Xondros from dying? I have a long list of questions for her."

Gerrard:
If the final foe is down, Gerrard still keeps his guard up in case more come crashing into the room. If not, he moves over and helps Peri knock him out.
“As much trouble as her brother gave us, I was concerned she would be our death. Hopefully she is not too far gone to be revived for your questions, Master Fenwader,” says Gerrard as he looks for any other threats.

Peri pounds the disintegrating, semi-skeletal tiefling with his arcane spear. Gerrard does likewise with his glowing rapier. It is clearly damaged, but far from down. It smiles with a horrifying grin. You all feel words form in your head. "No, your debt is not yet paid."
Having tried to subdue the creature last round, Gerrard takes the opportunity as it lets down its guard to make another attack (still nonlethal as he is still processing this creature’s apparent change from tiefling to skeletal horror).

Gerrard is able to get in a swipe of his blade at the departing creature, even as Peri fails to do so. It is clearly wounded, but how much of the gore is real, and how much is the remains of the tiefling it wears like the skin of a banana is difficult to determine.

Placing the fingers of his left hand to his temple he whispers a primordial word that even he wasn't aware he knew. A 10ft long tentacle appears close to the henchman. It lashes out in similar fashion to Peri's new appendages.
A - cast Word of Radiance on the remaining enemy (DC13 CON save)

A burning radiance erupts from Kei's fingertips and envelops the injured henchman. DC13 CON Save: 16 or take 4 radiant damage.
A 10-foot-long spectral tentacle erupts from the weather floorboards and successfully strikes the unnamed henchman.
The rest of its face falls away, revealing a toothy skull and beady, burning eyes. It laughs in a chilling, guttural howl before springing upon Peri.
Bite Attack: 14 Hit: 11 piercing damage.
Claws Attack: 9 Hit: 13 slashing damage (and if hit, Peri must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw.)
