Boko sees the horrors below – three massive crustacean-like creatures feeding under the large fishing net full of corpses, weighted down by rocks. The bodies show signs of vicious stabbing and slashing wounds, broken bones, and blunt trauma. Some are also half-eaten.
Boko recognizes these creatures as "chuul", semi-sentient crustacean aberrations, survivors of some ancient aboleth empire whom they still sometimes are believed to serve. They are evil, sinister, and poisonous, but not very intelligent.
Pieter and Jax hurriedly load and aim the ballista.
The captain fires a Hand Crossbow at the exposed horror. Hand Crossbow Attack: 15. Hit: 5 piercing damage. Then she steps forward to where Boko was standing, and tries to plunge her longsword into the thing's face. Longsword Attack: +7. Hit: 7 slashing damage
The first, wounded chuul attacks the captain: #1 Pincer Attack vs captain: 9. Hit: 13 bludgeoning damage and she becomes grappled
A second, underwater, attacks Boko. #2 Pincer Attack vs Boko: 13. Hit: 12 bludgeoning damage and she becomes grappled
The third surfaces near Peri and grabs for him: #3 Pincer Attack vs Peri: 15. Hit: 12 bludgeoning damage and he becomes grappled

The captain, unable to injure the armored horror, is grappled by her neck by its massive claw (+4 crit damage), as the tentacles envelop her face. (DC13 CON Save: 16 or be poisoned andparalyzed.)
Underwater, Boko is likewise grappled by the second aberration, and now faces the thing's squirming pinkish-purple tentacles. (Make a DC13 CON Save or be poisoned andparalyzed.)
The third tries again to grab Peri with its other claw: #3 Pincer Attack #2 vs Peri: 23. Hit: 9 bludgeoning damage and he becomes grappled.
Peri summons his Astral arms and sends them whipping out from his body. ((DC15 DEX save for the two he can see, or they take 11 force damage)) He strikes at the claws, hoping to stun at least one of them.

Strike #2: 16 for 10 force
((Both are Stunning Strikes -- DC15 CON save. Target the one that just appeared near Peri first. If it fails and is stunned, he will try to stun the injured one also; otherwise he makes a second attempt at the one near him.))

Seeing the captain in trouble and Boko apparently having escaped her immediate peril, Gerrard attacks the wounded lobster-creature who has the captain in its grasp. He strikes twice with the flaming dagger and once with the elegant rapier, trying to disarm the horror of its recently acquired food!
Flaming Dagger: Attack: 10 Damage: 18

Elegant Rapier: Attack: 14 Damage: 9

The creature attacking Peri is temporarily stunned (as well as mildly injured by Peri.) The one gripping the captain is in bad shape.
And that's the one which Gerrard focuses his attention on. His first blade glances off the thick natural armor, but the second does not. It sinks into whatever alien brain the monster must possess and the thing goes limp, falling back into the sea and dropping the still-paralyzed captain into the sea.
Spinning, Gerrard's third swing of his rapier is successfully directed at the stunned creature menacing Peri. Its injuries are beginning to mount up.
Qivys now finds himself without a melee target. (Does he have a ranged attack, or other option?)

"Haaaa! Yip!" Thwack shouts with glee as one of the crustaceans sinks, defeated, below the surface. He turns his attention to the stunned mullet crayfish closest to Peri. "Hiyaaah". He imitates Peri's spectral arms as best he can, chopping in mid-air at nothing in particular. First one claw and then the other.

Grabbed around his waist by the massive claw, and hoisted clear off the deck, the creature reaches for Qivys' face with its squirming tentacles. Qivys: Make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned andparalyzed.
Moving forward to counter the boat’s drifting, Gerrard finds himself quickly running out of deck. He leans out carefully and attacks the back of the chuul grappling Qivys, aiming for the joints supporting the pincer that holds his ally.
