Boko relays all she learns from Virgil, as best she can. "This bird says he knows where the wreck is. I say we allow him to guide us near, though not over, the wreck, so we can know where it is if we need to find it again. Then we can proceed to Uskarn and perhaps Saltmarsh after. Or if, as Gerrard implies, there may be a plan to stop another maritime menace, then we could eliminate it before proceeding back to Saltmarsh. I would assume that in Uskarn, we can get news of what has happened in the world over the last 6 months that we have lost being sent here. Perhaps get word to friends and allies as well."
Not knowing, and in truth not caring, where Uskarn nor Saltmarsh is Thwack is happy to be travelling with someone. He nods in agreement with everyone's suggestion even if they are conflicting plans. He ensures that he has his Sticky Stick and the metal baton with the fire motif amongst his meagre possessions.
He settles down in a coil of rope on the deck, looking rather like a bird on its nest, and begins to study the baton. His recent failure all but gone from his thoughts he appears quite content pouring over the latest "treasures".
"Well, I reckon it's time," says the captain. "I'm shoving off. Any of you are welcome to join us, but you've got about one minute before I haul anchor." It's been clear that the three survivors, now passengers aboard the old fishing boat, as well as the crew, have been anxious to depart this place, waiting only for the captain's word. The whitecaps are raw and choppy, and the wind continues to gust unpredictably.
You realize that you have no idea where Uskarn is, although you've gotten the sense that it's less than a day's travel from here, at least when the weather cooperates.
Gerrard boards with the others and strives to stay more or less out of the way. Keeping his bow at hand, he keeps an eye on the water for any new threats as they travel.

Boko says,"we do have these nautical maps, now that I think about it. So we can address the problem later without delay, should we decide to. I will shift into giant octopus form and guard the boat from below for a time, and then will rejoin you on deck for the remaining journey to Uskarn. Do we really think Rasp's hide will fetch value? He was a tough battle and I am proud to have bested him, though I know not what someone would do with his hide. I am glad he will not join the undead."
She confirms they have everything they wanted to bring, helps get the boat ready, then drops into the water as she shifts into giant octopus as she meets the surface. She keeps her eyes and blindsight open for anything under the waves, lurking or watching them, or anything of note or interest.
”I expect Kester in Saltmarsh will have an excellent use for it, Mistress Alcor,” responds Gerrard, “Though as the one who defeated it in single combat, it is yours to decide how to disposition the hide.”

"Kester can make you something special, but if you want to get it enchanted she has a guy in Seaton she sends work to. Or you can just sell it to her and she'll sell it off to one of Gerrard's uncles or something, so he can act like he's as adventurous as his nephew here!"
Unless any of you have other plans, you depart aboard the captain's crowded vessel. It is still somewhat hobbled by its encounter with the rocks the day prior, and the sailing conditions in the open sea are worse than they initially appeared. It is slow, rough progress. If you're on board, make a DC15 CON check or become poisoned with seasickness unless you have the Sailor background. (So everyone but Boko and Peri.)
Boko immediately spots the assassin's lifeless body underwater in the cove, confirming that Thwack indeed felled his final foe.
Virgil circles the vessel as well, trying to lead you south, but the captain pays no attention, and is intent upon maneuvering her laden vessel east around the island, and then north.
Eventually, Virgil gives up and flies back to the island, as the captain starts to tack north into the gusting spray.
Boko finds nothing but disturbed water, roiled by the storm with debris and silt; clear and deep below.
Watching the bird depart to the south and then give up as it returns to the island, Gerrard is a bit sad, thinking the intelligent creature had lost its loved ones and now is left alone on a deserted island.
Those thoughts are quickly washed away by the surging swell as he struggles to stay focused while the ship lurches about.

Thwack
Trying to concentrate on the metal baton in his lap becomes increasingly difficult as the boat rolls side to side. Salty water stings his eyes and his stomach flips in time with the waves. If a blackish kobold could ever look green, it would be now.
Qivys seems to enjoy the wild ride, even as Thwack becomes quite ill from the ceaseless pounding of the waves.
Eventually, Boko finds she reaches the maximum duration of her octopus form, seeing little of interest under the seas so far. (Does she want to repeat her Wild Shape if she is able to?)
Eventually, a smudge on the horizon resolves into a low dark landmass in the gloomy weather. "Uskarn," announces the captain.
Morley the dwarf shifts uncomfortably in the cabin. "Any way you can let me off a bit east? I have some folks in Uskarn I'd like to avoid."

Peri:
"Glad to see you finally takin' to it!"a grinning Peri answers Qivys.
When Morley gets a bit shifty, Peri studies the dwarf. Could be he just owes some unsavory types money, or it could be he's up to shadier dealings. (Insight: 19) "Let's check with the healer first, to make sure you're fully cured. Don't want you goin' bad on us again."
(Peri will share any insight he gains with Boko, under the guise of discussing the disease.)

When Morley speaks up Qivys turns a discerning eye towards the dwarf. He knows Morley is nervous he just does not know why. History check on the dwarf Morley-anything the name brings to mind: 12
Boko grasps the boat with a tentacle that turns into an arm, and pulls herself aboard, much lighter. She spends the rest of the journey in the boat. "So we will find out if it has really been 6 months since we were sent here. Does anyone know anyone in Uskarn?"(Does Boko know anyone?) If she is able, she tries to take a short or long rest amid the sloshing.
Peri sizes up Morley to be a bit slippery – probably on the wrong side of the law. He seems more bark than bite, though; more fearful than fearsome, and Peri doubts he's much of an immediate threat. Qivys has never heard of this guy.
Everyone except Thwack may receive a short rest. (Thwack is too ill from the rough transit to rest comfortably.)
Uskarn appears to be a small fishing village of less than a thousand souls. Primarily a human settlement, you can see a handful of elves, dwarves, and gnomes working the shore. The village boasts an unusually large port for its size, used both for its own fishing boats and for the trading vessels and at least one naval ship currently in port.
Unloading the vessel to little fanfare, the captain leads you to a tavern known as the "Fog and Frog", a large warehouse converted into a drinking establishment with rooms to rent in the back. The tavern is run by council member Skeldruff Plenk, you learn, who brews a much-lauded lager called Plenk’s Plenk. Plenk, an older gnome, is holding court with a clump of locals when you arrive.
Barret and (especially) Morley have no interest in joining you, but Janore sticks around, ready to testify to the events of the last few days.

Gerrard:
Before they make landfall, Gerrard asks, "Captain, who is in charge of the town? To whom should we go to warn about the oncoming threat?"
Gerrard tries to remember who might be in charge in Uskan and what the political situation might be. When they arrive at the tavern, he stays near Janore and makes sure everyone gets some food and drink.
