As Azghai was undoing the ropes of the boat to get himself and the people to the shore, he felt how Agug tried to grapple him. In the moment that happened, Azghai tried to land a heavy punch on his face with a serious gaze. 15
"Don't **** with me when I'm helping you, you grand mother ****er. Stay quiet and shut the **** up. It isn't you who is going to drive this ****in' boat. I'm trying to help ourselves and here you are trying to act like a big shot. PIMP DOWN."
After that, he continued to undo the ropes of the boat, which was why the boat started to get downer and closer to the water.
"Whoever wants to get to the shore, jump in"- Azghai said, looking at Agug as if he would push him to the water to let him be eaten alive any moment.
"Easy gentlemen. We're all in the same boat here..." Surge winks at anyone who is calm and looking at him after his poor pun.
Surge surveys the sky and the waters to assess the conditions for their crossing to Saltmarsh. If he is confident that it is safe he picks up a paddle and begins the long effort once everyone is in their newly repaired boat. (If the waters look too rough he might consider other alternatives.)
"I have a friend in Saltmarsh and some final business to attend to, so we may be parting ways soon after we arrive, unless of course there is anything I can do for any of you fine gentlemen before I depart."
I had assumed the ship was far from being able to sail without magical aid based on the original description, and wouldn't assume a mere cantrip could fix it.
"The broken hull of a ship rises from the sea as gushing waterfalls cascade from gaps between the rotting boards."
"Ahh ha ha," Agug laughs. "Nothing like a little horse play to get to know your friends. I haven't felt this good since the battle of Kugarnmarsh."
"You my friend," Agug says pointing at Azghai and giving him something between a pat and a slap on the cheek, "Are going to be a useful fighter. You have earned my respect."
"You," Agug says to Mergrim, not being good with names, "have your friends back. I like that."
Miwyn keeps to himself and stays out of the way while Agug is grappling with Azghai waiting to see how it turns out. He nervously chuckles at Surge's joke, despite himself; and, once he sees that Agug is calmed down, Miwyn relaxes a bit, but is still keeping an eye on him just in case. He will also grab an oar, if there is another one available, to start rowing with Surge towards shore.
Then, Miwyn looks towards Surge and says, "I, too, have some business I wouldn't mind attending to when the opportunity presents itself, but I wonder if it might be a better idea to stick together until we figure out what is actually going on with us and why."
Surge looks to the ranger and ponders "hmmm, you have a point there." "I would like to know what that figure was and what has happened to us. At the same time we have been given a chance to finish any business, and I intend to. I'd hate to squander that opportunity while too busy asking why it has been granted." Surge appears to be pondering the matter while paddling or rowing the boat.
(OOC Obviously looking to find common ground for campaign purposes, but for now RP'ing the original intention of each of us resolving our personal business. Curious to see if anything changes that further upon arrival in Saltmarsh. Nice RP Celtic.)
"You are thinking too much. It's better to keep things simple so we can have a brighter view of what is happening. It's not like we are going to be far from one another, since Saltmarsh is small. If you go out, I reckone that all of us will eventually know, so it Isn't a wise decision to do it. If we were called by that ¿man...? together, we should stick together and that's it." - Said Azghai as he was rowing to the shore
The Priest calmly says "so you will have my back all the while that I tend to my unfinished business as...'it' instructed?" "That is reassuring, at least." He sneaks a wink at Miwyn.
(Azghai landed his punch. If the ship sails, it’s not by any normal means; it shouldn’t even be floating.)
After a few minutes of rowing in the dark besides what light the spell had provided, the undead see about a dozen crew members of the patrolling ship curiously staring at the approaching rowboat and its light. They don’t seem to have discerned what they’re seeing quite yet.
"Give me those ores you two, or I'll snap your toothpick arms." Agug yells. "I may not be smart, but I can row a boat fast when it's needed"(Athletics6 )
Agug is used to issuing orders from his military career. "Azghai, your're the shipwright, can you perceive where we should shore this canoe? Can we maintain a distance from the patrol?" (perception +3 +? for being a shipwright?)
"Priest, do you have anyInsight (+5) into what's going on that royal guard ship? Are they a threat? They outnumber us, and that makes me nervous."
"Milwyn, you've got good eyes," (perception +4) "is there anyone on the coast? Any moving light?"
(Feel free to make rolls. I kind of treat my game like an ongoing “skill challenge” from 3.5e because if I have to approve every roll before it’s attempted, it slows things way down.)

Miwyn quietly glances at the soldier. He's not used to taking orders since he spends so much time alone, but Agug is right. So, he looks towards the shore to see what details he can make out, if any.
(OOC: I'm noticing, sometimes, that even after I refresh the page, the new posts don't always show up right away. So, I apologize for posting a couple of times out of sync. lol. I'm still figuring this out.)

(OOC: I'm not gonna lie - I'm really impressed by this whole system that dndbeyond has created. The fact that dice rolls can be done and that they're color coordinated and everything is pretty cool. I was confused initially why you said you rolled a 1 when it was a 6. Then I realized what was going on. Good stuff.)

Surge grins in amusement as the mighty Agug takes over as 'Captain' of their rowboat, especially as he struggles to get the ores going smoothly right away.
The Priest ponders how the patrol ship might handle them and what story would best get them to buzz off. (if needed, Insight 25 )

[ooc]Dude, those maps are sweeeeet. This game is going to be awesome as far as I'm seeing. I just wish we could post a bit more. Everyone.[/ooc]
Azghai, as a Shipwright, was experienced in driving water vehicles. He started giving directions to everyone as to where they should row the boat. Perception9 (3 Perception + 2 for Shipwright)
"¡Maintain those oars straight and row faster! ¡Go that way, to the shore!" - Shouted Azghai, giving directions, trying to get safely to the shore.
(ooc, sorry, been a busy few days with work and tomorrow is going to be another one, but I will keep posting as often as I can, if it slows up, feel free to auto-pilot and I can backtrack if needed)
Megrim will happily relinquish the oar to Agug and settle himself somewhere he can sit more comfortably, "I'm happy to keep you all company for now. I do have business to take care of eventually, but there's no rush and it will certainly take me time to even figure out how to do what I need to. Mind if I ask you all what you think brought us all back? Personally, I begged for a chance to right a few mistakes, but as to who granted it, no idea."
Miwyn, without looking away from the shoreline (he's still looking to see whatever he might be able to see), responds to Megrim, "I wish I knew. One of my goals is to find out. But, first, I have someone in town I need to check on - someone I haven't seen in a long time."

(OOC Along with the good check above regarding the approaching patrol, can Surge make some sort of check to ponder the nature of the figure on the boat and what could bring them back as some sort of undead / ghost? Religion(-1), History(-1) or Arcana(-1), perhaps? If so here's a D20 minus 1 since they are all the same: 15)
(Regarding the poor Religion skill, character wise I just don't get that many skills or flexibility in what to choose, and in character I figure Surge was born under the watch of the Mother of Waters and has had little actual study of religions as a whole other than his time with his former captain teaching him about Valkur.)

Surge turns to Mergrim and Miwyn and comments "nothing like dying to bring people together it seems."
[Ooc] So Saltmarsh is about 2 miles, and how fast would we row? 1-2mph? How far is the shore?
Also, did Azghai land his punch? If so, I'll deduct the 4 hp of bludgeoning damage.[/ooc]
