Moving past the door fragments, you reach a guard room similar to the one you had leading from the cells that the group were imprisoned in. Moving further, you see a door leading to a corridor that brings to a room with a large cell. A dozen goblins are in this cell, alive, but not looking or smelling very healthy.
Serit stands intimidatingly behind Gara as they open the cell. In goblinoid, "Listen up. We are freeing you from your prison. We work with the goblins in the area. How long have you been entrapped here?"
The healthiest looking goblin responds to Serit in between fits of coughing:
"You work with the villages? You mean they are alive? As for how long... it's hard to keep track of time in darkness, so we were hoping you would tell us."
(note: I'm pretty sure you are closer to 10 weeks than 5)
The goblins gasp:
"The beasts? Yes, we fled our settlement from them. We thought we could hide in this cave, but these creatures captured us. And some time later, they just disappeared".
They eat the food, though sickness, rather than hunger seems to be the issue.
"We should ensure these goblins make it safely back to the village. Tomorrow, I will drag a group back here to clean up and do a thorough search. Before we leave we need to decide what to do with the caged animals and ultimately, the family of bats nesting here.," Serit says.
"AreTheyWellEnoughToTravel? WeCouldFeedThemTheAnimals,TendToTheirWoundsAndHaveThemCleanUpToBuildUpStrengthAsWeDefendedAndClaimedThisAsOurs?" Moxo asks and suggests at the same time.
„ I would try to take the snakes and the wolfs with us. Wolfs are pack animals so we may be able to train them. The bear, i would suggest we kill, skin and butcher. We will need the extra food, even if it will be only scrabs.“
I will note, that since these animals were starved, there is very little you will get in terms of meat and even their pelt will be low value due to caked mud, bald patches etc.
„Serit, Rohdin, Moxo, can you give me a hand with this door? It doesn‘t want to open.“

Serit moves to the stuck door holding his abdomen but does his best to assist in unjamming the door.

It no longer matters if the door opened by pulling or pushing as Serit smashes into it, breaking it into pieces.
I carefully look what is inside.
