Serit too gets quiet, his thoughts to the answers. As they sight the tree he looks around, ready for an ambush, "I am willing to say that is where we may find the origin of this spider infestation."
Gara, you see once again that Efeu is ignored by the spiders. At one point a wolf-sized spider runs right next to to him, but does not react in any way.
Serit, looking in more detail, you see that the central tree is covered in webs, and near the foot of the tree, you seem to see a human-like figure moving.
"Seems they have caught another poor soul," Serit comments in a low tone. He points toward the slightly struggling figure. "Also, apparently these spiders are not so threatened by your construct."
Gara, you a pretty sure it's not an elf or any other of the commonly found races. When Serit steps on a branch, it cracks loudly, and the creature turns around. It's definitely not a human, it looks like a half-spider, half humanoid. Far from being caught in the web, the monster seems to have been weaving it.
It looks in your direction, but has not spotted you yet.
Serit sways in anticipation and glances to Gara, "You've got my back, watch those smaller spiders and I will see what I can do about that abomination." He runs in a crouch, almost ape like toward the man spider.

„Maybe they sense that it is not alive in the classical sense. I don‘t‘t think that is a human. Maybe an elf?“

The creature hisses and the spiderlings fan out and slowly move in your general direction, briefly stopping by every bush and tree.
You do not appear to have been detected yet, but the spiderlings will reach you in the next couple of minutes.
