Serit's words seem to have made some impression. The bows are lowered, and one of the goblins steps up.
"You say you want to help. But how will you help us? And why should we trust you? Where are you even from? We haven't seen such an mixed group and so heavily armed in a while."
"I am a carpenter and crafter." he explains. "I can help by reinforcing your walls and helping to develop better ways of defending against the bonecrushers." he nods to the group. "We did the same back at the smaller village that way..." He gestures back to the other village. "We then fought off an attack of the bonecrushers the night before last there, our additions to the tower there helping to make the place more able to be defended. we can do that here, and more."
"So you were the ones that drove the pack to attack to attack this village. Though you did not do it intentionally, this was the outcome.
If you truly want to help, you need to finish what you started. Make sure the pack is no longer a threat. You aren't going to achieve that sitting in some tower. Not that they would even come here for a while after what happened yesterday."
"So the pack never attacks this village otherwise?" Nasaar calls back. "I doubt if we had that much of an affect on them, and know they attack random villages across this area regardless of our actions. You can try to lay the blame where it makes you feel better to do so, but that is on you." He turns his back to the village. "If you don't need our aid, then we will go back and continue to help those who want it."
„What did happen here last night? This looks like some impressive impact. If you are this powerfull, what stops you from taking care of the pact yourself? Why let the other communities suffer?“
"If you think the scavengers attack at random, you will not live very long against them. They are very intelligent beasts, especially the huge ones."
To Gara:
"We are not powerful. This," he points at the ruins "was a last resort. Which didn't work out. Last night they breached the wall with three huge ones at the head. The booyahg tried to use his magic, but they kept coming. So he used the ancient scroll we had in the shrine, which was supposed to kill our foes if all else failed. But either the scroll was too old, or the booyahg too weak, the spell went out of control and this is the result. Though many scavengers were turned to dust, only one of the three big ones died. And the fillage was badly damaged by the spell."
"Good to know." Nasaar calls back. "I will leave you to it then, if this is how you treat those who come to offer you aid, and who managed to turn aside these same creatures two nights ago..." He continues walking away.
"Nasaar, you are right that we should not linger here. The goblin is right that they would move on after this battle but we may have a chance here.
"I do say though that we see what they have here and we could possibly consider tracking the beasts. They are probably licking their wounds right now and it might be our best bet to attack them head on," Serit says as Nasaar walks.
”I agree. We have to hunt them down. I managed to hold off one of those things back in the tower, although it didn’t seem extremely driven to progress. My suggestion would be to eliminate them one by one. Divide and conquer and all that.”
Nasaar will do either nature or survival, I would imagine he has advantage to either due to his background. I will let others pick what they do first, then will do one of those two as his advantage roll.
You proceed to track the beasts. Nasaar follows the tracks and heads northeast through the woods. Gara looks for the best way to get through the woods and avoid mishaps. Serit makes sure that the party moves without causing too much noise. Gathrik tries his best to look out for things. Jardor follows quietly.
You arrive at at an area not far from one of the abandonned goblin settlements, halfway between the two villages you visited before, but further north. At the foot of the hills, not far from a lake, there is an open plain, with a few giant rocks scattered here and there. Here you see the hyenas rest, relax, playfight, and keep warm in the sunshine. In their relaxed state (as opposed to savagely trying to bite off your appendages) they look very dog-like, friendly and almost... cute, and it is no wonder a number of non-human settlements, including some goblins reportedly raise them as companion animals.
Near one of the caves, there appears to be a cave. A few scavengers seem concentrated there, surrounding the two giant ones, who are lying on higher ground ovserving the surroundings.
Thanks to your good performance you are in a good position at the forest edge, but behind a ravine (not large enough to be impassable, but enough to significantly slow down anyone moving through). It appears you have not been spotted.
(Seems like a good defensible high ground kind of situation...how far are we from the closest scavengers? Any chance of kiting them to us and playing "Man in the Mountain Pass" with them again?)
Jardor gets down low with the others to survey the scavenger camp. "This seems like a good vantage point to attack from. If we can get them to come to us here then I can push any that survive my initial attack into the ravine with my horns. It is still a good distance to the camp though. Do any of you think you could make that shot to get their attention and have them come to us?"

Nasaar waits to see what the response from his companion's actions will be.

"You say you want to help. But how will you help us? And why should we trust you? Where are you even from? We haven't seen such an mixed group and so heavily armed in a while."
Nasaar steps forward now.

Nasaar, roll persuasion.
Persuasion: 16

The goblin at the wall responds.
To Nasaar:
"If you think the scavengers attack at random, you will not live very long against them. They are very intelligent beasts, especially the huge ones."

So, you decide to track the beasts. You as a group need to roll for three things:
Each character rolls for just one thing (though your background may give you advantage on your roll).
Nature roll: 24
Nasaar will do either nature or survival, I would imagine he has advantage to either due to his background. I will let others pick what they do first, then will do one of those two as his advantage roll.
Nasaar Survival: 27
Though large in size Serit would use his race's natural inclination to stealth to try and help conceal their approach.
Stealth: 19
Gathrik is careful to be aware of his and his friends’ surroundings as they move forward
Perfeption: 16, if a dvantage from him being a hunter applies 23
