"I'm not sure exactly what the gods intended when they said to see this place as it is," Abraxas says. "The model of the city looks exactly the same to me, for example," he says. "Do any of you see this place any differently? Garu?"
He listens to Harmony. "I'm not sure if the fastest way to Lyrikav is forward or backward. But it seems like we need to discover something here before going there. I could head in either direction," he says. "Simeon, what do you think?"
"Agreed. Something more is awaiting us to find it,"replies Simeon.
The wood elf moves around the room, looking at the model from multiple angles. "The fox's cunning served you well earlier, Abraxas. Let us see if it helps me now."
Simeon casts enhance ability and leans in, studying the paper city once again, hoping to find an answer to this riddle. (Investigation: 20)
Abraxas seems to be speaking true. The model of Lyrikav is the only thing within the room that seems not to have changed. The dust, cobwebs, debris, and smoke filling the air have changed the environment around it, but the model itself looks as it did before you were transported to the strange forest.
"So, the replica of Lyrikav remains unchanged, but the room has not," remarks Simeon. "What of the other rooms here in Turmaether? Have all of them suffered from age and decay during our absence?"
After a pause, he adds, "I cannot help but wonder what we would find if we were to return to the room with the three women..."
"Or the chess player," Abraxas says. "Do we move back then, or farther into Turmather? They did not seem like guardians to me, but I'm not sure if that means the magic we'll need to defeat Kayel's plans is before us or not. It seems like it might be." He looks toward the door that will take them deeper inside.
Harmony was listening to everyone, thinking about it. "We should move forward, see what else there is here that we might discover that could help before going back to Lyrikav. Then we can just backtrack through all the rooms we had already gone in, in case we don't find anything and see if anything new comes up that could help." she had said back as she would start toward the door.
Upon walking toward the door, a glyph appears beneath Abraxas, Garu, and Harmony's feet, and a pulse of energy nearly knocks them backwards. Garu feels no ill effects, but Harmony and Abraxas begin to act strangely.
Harmony begins unstrapping her studded leather armor, while Abraxas moves to the wall. The mage suddenly slams his forehead against the brick, taking 3 bludgeoning damage from the impact.
Harmony manages to keep her balance as she had felt the pulse of energy. But for some strange reason, she starts to unstrap her studded leather armor even though she didn't actually want to do that. "W-What's going on? Abaraxas!" Harmony questioned as her body was moving on it's own before seeing what Abraxas did, shocked. What is happening here?!
The effect ends in a flash of magic from Simeon. Abraxas halts with his face inches from hitting the wall again, and Harmony stumbles through a bout of fatigue, the sudden desire to take a nap quelled by Simeon's countering spell.
Through the next door and hallway is a room that smells of salt and brine. A pool of water fills the center of the 20-foot-cubed room; within it swim a trio of strange anenome-like creatures, each the size of a wolf.
A narrow walkway lines the room, leading to a closed wooden door at the opposite end.
Harmony had started to feel strangely fatigued and wanted to take a nap before she suddenly snapped out of it, feeling herself again. She strapped her studded leather armor back on, wondering what exactly had happened to her and Abraxas. When they went through the hall and into the next room, she was very surprised to see the pool of water and the anemone-like creatures swimming in there. Harmony didn't like the looks of them, glancing to the others and wondering if they can get around those things without being noticed or attacked somehow.
Simeon leads the way, not wholly certain if the group's presence is known to the trio of strange creatures. Ready to cast guiding bolt if anything goes awry, he keeps one eye on the narrow walkway and the other on the pool of water.

Garu leans over and picks up the clasps from the model and hands them over to Abraxas.

Simeon casts dispel magic, targeting the location of the glyph.
Abraxas is trying to keep his face from the wall, trying to protect himself from himself, but failing. "I can't--I don't," he sputters.
