Harmony had been watching, shocked and scared that Aisha would have been defeated. But then she was relieved as Aisha took the advantage and the match over, her seemingly having won. She hears the chieftain, nodding back and thinking. "Thank you. We want to know all that there is about The Statues of the Warlord. We heard rumors regarding it like how new statues only recently appeared. Has anything strange or suspicious happened to them from how they used to be? Has the area around here changed as well because of the statues? How come there are camps here by the statues?" Harmony had said back to her, thinking of what they need to know.
Abraxas listens to the angry bugbear chieftain. He assumes she is asking for him to be quiet, and he will. He does wonder if Datark will take Aisha's hand or if Datark will even understand what is happening when it is offered.
Eventually, once the chieftain seems less upset, Abraxas will ask about the statues again. "Aisha has won us the right to ask about your history and the statues. Are the two connected somehow?"
The bugbear chieftain grunts in affirmation, drawing crudely into the ground with a javelin as she answers, "The statues are sacred. Heads of twelve ancient warlords on each statue, and twelve statues to depict them. But now there are four more. We have traveled over the ages to bask in their glory, to revel in the rush of combat. But we now we come, sixteen strong, to see what the new warlords want of us. We are Blood Tusk warriors, the chosen of all the clan."
As she finishes, she has carved a large circle into the ground, in the center of three others equidistant from it. She plants her javelin in the furthest to the left and says, "We are not the only tribe that has been sent. This is Blood Tusk, here. Over there," she says, pointing to the furthest right circle, "is Iron Claw. You are lucky to speak with us. You will not feel so fortunate to speak with Iron Claw. And this, to the south, are the ogres."
The nearby bugbears groan and grumble at the mention of the large creatures. "The ogres are at the statues now. We agree, for now, to share in the glory of the warlords; the ogres guard them for a day, then it is our turn, and then Iron Claw. The warlords will dictate when the time is right for only one to share in the glory," she concludes.
At that, enough information had been shared to trigger a set of thoughts in Aisha... And what do these statues slash warlords usually ask of you? To fight yourselves? To fight others? As in.. if they asked you to attack a town or a city, would you? Or would you.. purrhaps, summon some.. otherworldly being? Do 'more' statues appear or is this the first time this has happened? And who sent you here in the first place?
"They inspire us to great glory. It could be any of those, but we are not great enough in number to overtake an entire city," the chieftain answers. She casts a curious look at the mention of otherworldly beings, offering, "Datark could not defeat spikes that you created in the ground from magic. What makes you think we could do such a thing?"
"There have always been twelve," she speaks of new statues appearing. "That is why we have come in such numbers. Nobody sent us. We are Blood Tusk, and we have done as we chose to do."
Harmony was listening to the chieftain, nodding. "Do you know the names of all these warlords? Would it be possible for us to go see these statues up close in person? As long as they're being guarded, I would hope that it would be fine to do so." she then said back to her.
Abraxas hears the groans and grumbles of the nearby bugbears when the ogres are mentioned. "Yes, ogres are difficult creatures," he says, "even for a group as powerful as Blood Tusk."
"Warriors of Kayel share the glory of the warlords with our clan. You..." she glances at Aisha, "...are not warriors of Kayel. I doubt Iron Claw and the ogres will allow you, either."
Aisha was too busy thinking to notice the 'glance' though she was halfway to the point of wanting to just kill them anyway. None of her suspicions seemed to have hit the mark. Regardless, she didn't feel these people were capable of lying, they may not tell you something but they didn't seem like they could lie easily. Finally after harmony had spoken for a bit Aisha spoke up herself. Hrmm Well the Aisha believes your people may be in danger. Aisha hasn't yet been to see these 'new statues' or been able to fully confirrrm anything but if what you all say is true, Aisha believes some evil deity plans to control your people and use them as pawns. You say there have always been twelve, but now there are four more. We have already prevented an evil serpent deity from entering and destroying the world (Regardless of what you think about our combat prowess) and the next visions granted to us were that there was to be a massive orc statue, that would 'blow up' and some evil wolf would emerge from it, and split the world asu.. asun.... in two.
Aisha does nyot believe you are our enemies. In fact if anything, Aisha believes we were supposed to see you or your fellow tribes as enemies, to better hide the real enemy of us all - as should this come to pass, all of us will die. Does anything AIsha has said, notch the wood? (As in ring any bells ec)
As he listens to the chieftain, Abraxas tries to remember how many scrolls of owl bear summoning he has. He thinks eight. He might summon some ogres as well, just to add to the confusion. He thinks about these things, but he wants to find something less risky.
"When is it your turn to guard the statues? Will you let us look at them when it is your turn? We have, though you don't like how it happened, bested your best."
Harmony was disappointed that the chieftain wouldn't share because they aren't warriors of Kayel. She nods in agreement with what Aisha was saying until she heard the chieftain, thinking as she heard Abraxas too. "That is true. There were no specific rules about the fight, stating that it had to be melee only or that magic couldn't be used after all. But we really are telling the truth. This could be a matter of life or death for everyone in this world and ours too, so we really need to see the statues. Surely we could come to some sort of agreement. I can imagine that with being such a strong and honorable tribe dedicated to the warlords, you all might not get a lot of chances to let loose and have a little fun. How about I give you a special performance, like one held for the victors of a great battle where you just want to drink and be merry all night long? No magic, just a song and a dance. If you like it, maybe you could reconsider helping us then?" Harmony then said back to the chieftain, smiling brightly and with determination. She believed that she could put on a show that would impress even this tribe since she wants to have everyone be happy when watching and listening to her.
OOC: Just a note, the summoning scrolls require concentration, so each person can only summon one at a time.
The chieftain's face twists into near revulsion. A number of the other Blood Tusk bugbears begin to laugh, but the chieftain humorlessly states, "No. I've answered enough of your questions. Go dance for one of the other clans, see how they like it."
At this point Aisha couldn't hold back her spite anymore, though she prepared to leave as requested, she spoke with her back turned. You have nyo idea what's coming or what we're here to stop. If your tribe gets washed away because you cannot see past your pride, then I will laugh when it happens. You stated nyo forrmal rules. You said challenge to combat. If raw power is all your champion posesses then he brought his full strength to bear. And so did Aisha. And Aisha didn't even use her friend Tsavi in the fight. Tsavi is as much my partner as she is my weapon. Quit whining like a child. If it bothered you that much, you should nyever have called off the fight. If anything, he will hate you nyow because you never gave him a chance to prove himself and made your champion out to be unable to beat a single, little, kitten without your intervention. I'd watch your back, as your champion may just come for your head to cleanse himself of the shame you have brought upon him.
Aisha kept her ears back (passive per) in case an attack was sprung, as she realized she was poking a hornets nest, and if she heard an attack she would 'dodge' as would Tsavi if the panther was attacked. otherwise, she would continue on down the road where the 'ogre's were supposed to be.
The chieftain stands to her full height, triggering her clan into drawing or at the least placing a hand over their weapons. She growls, "Listen here, kittens. This one has proffered nothing except to flaunt her tricks and pretend that makes one a warrior. You earned answers, and I gave them to you. That was the deal, nothing more. The next time we see you, I will make no such offer. Do what you will, but do not return; and if we see you while we are with the warlords, we will kill you on sight."
Harmony was shocked, hearing the chieftain refuse and tell them not to return, that they would kill them if they see them while guarding the warlords. Oh man, this did not go like she had hoped it would. "I guess we should get going then." she just says to the others, wondering what they should do now.
"Sorry to hear you feel that way," Abraxas says to the chieftain. He salutes. "See ya." He'll continue toward the statues. "Iron Claw and/or ogres," he says. Hmm, he thinks, I wonder if we could get our enemies fighting each other. If all three groups attack each other, we can explore the statues at our leisure. If they are able to move out of the hearing of the bugbears, he'll share this idea with the others.
Aisha counts a dozen bugbears out in the open, including the chieftain. There could be as many or more inside of the tents that are strewn about the campsite.

"You must be from another world if you think we will forsake our mission on the word of one who flees while fighting," the chieftain snickers.
"We are not guarding the statues now. Go talk to the ogres. See if they'll let you glance at the statues before they eat you."
