This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Ashtear will pull out all of hear gear, and start taking notes and try to figure out how to make somemthing useful.
(What kind of proccess would be to make antigens for this? Int roll? Alchemy tool set? herbalism? Well fairly all the same I guess for me. +4int +3 profiency)
Pulling out a smal vial and downing it herself, "Can one of you help me?" (I gave myself Advantage for an hour via Enhance Ability, in case this is a long procccess with multiple rolls--also I don't know if anyone else actually can help given profiencies/how complicated it is. But. if someone else who has guidance wants to help that would be lovely. I can't do two concentrations) 8 or 13 (take the higher) + Guidance from someone if they are amicable 2 =
Hearing Manfred’s laments, Albanus snorts and says, “We won’t be putting you down anytime soon, bard. Besides, who else will write songs about us?” Albanus rises to his feet and offers Winter a hand. “How about we take a look? It is your family’s crypt, after all.” If she is okay with it, we’ll go check out the building.
Survivor has no guidance to give, but will casually look around the tomb, seeing if they have any effigies or murals. No investigation roll, either they do, and he'll admire them, or they don't and he'll move on.

(Youre able to synthesize one antidote before youve used quite a bit of material. You'll need more before you are able to do another, but you feel confident you can make more after this successful attempt.)

Winter doesn't seem all to keen on walking into a dark and damp tomb. If you wanna look I'll just be right here at the top of the stairs. That place gives me the chills. Id really rather not go down there if i dont have to Mr. Albanus.
As all of you finish catching your breath and investigating, Dain, as you look through the papers, youre able to read about there being some sort of link between Succubi and Shadows. As you look through however, it seems the most essential pages have been torn out. Without those pages the book seems to offer nothing new, other than vague references to these creatures; as well as, one that youre not familiar with, but anytime in the text it is mentioned it is fleeting and incomplete. You.get the feeling, whoever took the pages knew which ones to take and wanted to make sure they got all of the important ones.
Manfred, you hear the voice again at the end of the short rest. We have decided to give you one last chance. Tell your friends to come to Janices home. Then go to the basement. We will accept the journal for the souls of the girls family. Tell them not to take too long deciding though. Her voice suddenly becomes more happy and giggly. Tonight, wait no, actually lets say sundown, this entire town will rip itself apart and will be left in a smoldering heap of ashes. Isnt that fun? Riverton isn't going to be here in the morning if we dont have the journal in the next 4 hours. Till then sweetie.
Vulgrom sits with his legs, his fingers resting on the amulet of the Moradin. Questions only leading to more confusion, and a whole family involved? Horrific...
Shaking his head, Vulgrom stands. "Is there entrance to the crypt all clear? I say we head inside. We've been lead here for a reason, and we shouldn't go back on ourselves now..."
Dain walks back out, with the manuscript in his pack. "I found a book in there that seems to be all about these creatures we have been having issues with." He informs the others. "Someone got ta it first though, and took some of the more important pages. If we can find those we would have something of use, but nothing much of value or use for now." He glances to the others. "Remember, the guild lad had something delivered to the tavern, that he thought would be useful. Not sure if that is the strange magic item that lets us see the creatures when they go etherael, but might be worth checking back in there to see if anything else was delivered."
After he repeats the information the succubus whispered into his head (omitting the part when she called him sweetie), Manfred looks to each of them.
"We're agreed that there is no way this is not a trap, right? That whatever they have planned is far worse than simply making the townsfolk turn on one another, and when we walk into that basement, we are likely to face all sorts of horrors. Knowing what this girl and her sisters...I mean, these things are capable of, we should not let the journal come anywhere near them. Are any of you skilled forgers? A convincing document may buy us some time."
"Suit yourself child," Albanus says to Winter before descending the stairs, passing his two companions along the way. Albanus will have a look around, specifically looking for any draconic, abyssal, or infernal words in the mausoleum. He takes out the magic item that sees invisibility and looks through it before remembering he used the charge for today.
After taking a look around, Albanus goes back up to the others just as Manfred starts recounting the new deal the fiends are offering. He feels his face and blood go hot. "Aye it's most definitely a trap. What bothers me the most is that we have no way of harming them if they go to the ethereal plane. Forgery will buy us a few seconds; we can't reproduce the sending ability and the magical aura that I am aware of. Whatever they have planned for the townspeople will also affect us - well, possibly not myself and Manfred. We should report to someone, in any event, of what is happening here. I think Johan and the Guild master for sure - maybe he can help us in some way. I'm thinking the brother of the innkeeper might be useful as well."
Survivor will speak up, "I think the guildsmaster for certain, but perhaps other authority outside the town before alerting anyone who might be under their influence of our plan would be preferable to the innkeeper's brother. If we want to involve him, I say do it directly."
Manfred nods in assent, agreeing with Survivor. " Anyone in town is risky, but what about Johan? Odds are he is very likely dead, but he very likely is not under their power. If so, they would have had his journal long before we arrived here. IF he is alive, he may be our best chance of finding the pages that Dain mentioned. We need some kind of advantage in this encounter, and we have precious little time to find it."
"Johan first perhaps--as if he is alive, it might take more messages to ascertain. Then the guildimaster-as it may also require more depending. If we have any left, it would be apt to maybe send to the second highest person in the government here.. If i was going to turn someone, it would be the highest up. Second highest might noticed something. Fact is, I am kind of expecting to be arrested-or worse-when we return. So checking the inn would be difficult. Hm... I wonder if the guild master would know what he sent for and to who? Seems odd he didn't mention that if he knew though."
Fiddling with her gear, packing it back up, and depositing it into her bag of holding. "Well, I have what is more or less an antidote to what we found--but I don't have much, maybe a dose. I could make more if we find more... But as it stands, if they douse the town with more, I won't be able to fix that really. This might work on our friend here.. but you know you're charmed, so it might be better to save it.. perhaps for an offical or something down the line.
I just.. feel like this has gotten bigger and we need to warn the outside area at least. "
Survivor, "I still think the guildsmaster first, and go from there based on his response. Can't plan if we don't know whats going on or who to send to if we don't even know their name."
Manfred will watch Ashtear as she packs the antidote away. "Saving the antidote for the magistrate is the smart play, especially if the exchange at Janice's house does not go as planned and the succubi escape. If he is clear-headed the magistrate may be able to help maintain order, especially if we can show him the journal, and convince him of our experiences out here and on the farm. As for me, being aware that one is under their sway and being able to do anything about it are two different issues."
He twirls his flute absent-mindedly. "She seems to leave me alone unless she wants to communicate with us or if we're directly interfering with her plans. That will change if we head into town. I could take the horse and the child and ride for Summar Past and the guildmaster, so she is safe, whatever happens. I cannot stay if I am under the thumb of these creatures. She may force me to take part in the destruction of the town, and nothing short of you killing her or me would be able to stop me. But at the very least, I agree with the big man. Leon should hear of what's occurring now."

"It makes little difference, Manfred. They can get to you anywhere - they were able to talk to you even when they were on a different plane! The safest place for you is with us and that's where you'll be needed anyways. You can still help us with your songs and magic and knowledge." Albanus looks at his companions. "Okay, let's do the sending to those two. Can they respond? Or is it one way?" Albanus looks at Ashtear for any answers.
Manfred looks at the journal Ashtear is offering for others to send a message and he shakes his head and steps away."I should not be in proximity to the journal."
Winter tries to keep the horse at a decent pace with you all as you begin walking back, looking a little weary and anxious at the same time. We should probably hurry. If they said by sundown we wont have long to get to town. Maybe the magistrate can contact an archmage that can help bring my family back once they give them back? I dont know how this stuff works but hopefully someone in the Empire can help me now. Besides you all i mean. Not that i dont appreciate everything youve done though. She says before getting a little red in face from embarrassment. It should take us only about 2 hours to get back to town if we hurry. I wish we had enough horses for everyone though.
