The Adventures in Odaigo

Ulala whispers to the beast but does not get a response back. The mind is too primitive and the only thoughts she can sense are pure instinct. She is able to heal Percy for 7 HP.
Percy's attack misses the beast.
Gorlok still on top of the beast, strikes it in the head for 12 damage.
Graxxy attacks the beast and hits it for 7 damage.

The three guards begin to feel the pain of the ooze they are standing it, but decide to keep attacking the beast for the good of Odaigo

Attack: 14 Damage: 6
Attack: 8 Damage: 6
Attack: 18 Damage: 9

The guard in the distance shoots a crossbow bolt at it:
Attack: 8 Damage: 6

The beast has taken 195 damage and is literally on the verge of collapsing. Blue blood is pouring out of multiple wounds and is begging to pool under it.

The worm attempts to throw the grappled guard into his mouth:

Attack: 15 Damage: 12

But the guard is able to ward off the bite by using his shield to keep him from going into the lamprey mouth.

The worm then attacks Gorlok with his tentacle attack (disadvantage).

Attack: 17 Damage: 11

This attack strikes him for 12 damage and he will need to make a strength check to avoid being grappled!

The next round can now begin!

Graxxy looks for an already open wound and aims to stick his trident in it tearing the hole open!

Attack: 24 Damage: 6

As Graxxy feels the trident enter it erupts with Divine Energy!

Divine Smite Damage: 13

" That feels much better. Thank you Ulala." Percy will fire another bolt at the beast.

Attack: 23 Damage: 11

Ulala fires one more blast into the worm.

Attack: 14 Damage: 1

She sends a healing word (lv. 2) to Graxxy.

Ulala fires at the beast but misses. She is able to heal Graxxy for 7 HP.

Gorlok is bound by the beast.
Graxxy critically hits the beast and calls for his divine smite. As the blast of radiant damage glows from the inside of the worm, the beast falls over, motionless.

Combat is over, please reward yourselves 1200 xp.

The guards look at the motionless creature and move as quickly as possible out of the slime they were standing in. Turning to the group, they ask "What in the world was that creature?"

Graxxy withdraws his trident from the beast and wipes it on his boot.

Graxxy looks toward the guard.

"Something hell bent on our destruction..."

Graxxy points to the surrounding areas.

"Don't let down your guard.  This may have just been the first wave to soften our defenses." says Graxxy as he scans the horizon.

Graxxy turns to the others.

"Any of you ever read about a creature like this is a history book or heard tales of it from nature?" says Graxxy,

Ulala walks hesitantly up to the motionless creature. 

Nature: 10

" Dear god that was awful, but I can't think that was her full plan. We should do our best to check on the baron and the rest of the festival." Percy slings the slime off of himself where it remains and walks over to the pathetic pile of metal that remains of Gotrek. "This might take me a while to fix."

Ulala walks up to the beast but it is not something she has ever seen before. The vile fluids that draining from the monster seem corrosive and quite potent. Wherever this beast was summoned from, it surely was not a pleasant environment. 

OOC: Let me know what your next move is. I know Percy mentioned checking on the Baron but also potentially repairing Gotrek just need to know how to advance.

Ulala slowly backs away from the motionless creature. 

gorlok emerges from under the worm covered in ooze before turning to the guards.

”nice o yas ta finally show up.  did yer baron a real service ya did...

the dwarf grabs a big handful of his beard wringing out a nasty pile of slime.

”...an you fookin tell em weh expect a fat pay out fer doin all the heavy liftin!! ...buncha worthless toe-biting cowards...”

Graxxy looks at the guards walks up and bows to them.

"What made you come back?" asks Graxxy.

One of the guards covered in slime said "We couldn't just sit by and watch the town be destroyed. Do you guys know anything about that monster? I am worried that there is more to this than meets the eye."

gorloks ears perk up

”more ta et then meets the aye?? ya havnt been informed about tha blessed women?”

he turns to graxxy

”melcher might jus be even more worthless then aye gave em credit fer...”

Graxxy grunts at Gorlok.

”Aye... The enlisted men can always be counted on.  The Barons guard however....” says Graxxy.

Graxxy looks to the guards.

”Thank you for coming to the fight.  Your contribution helped save lives today including possibly my own.” says Graxxy.

Graxxy walks around and looks at the beast.

”This beast was summoned here to cause chaos.  The question is... Why...” says Graxxy as he looks toward the way the Baron fled.

”Maybe they knew the Baron wasn’t a fighting man and hoped to run him straight into an ambush...  Maybe they hoped to terrorize everyone as a distraction for some other plot.  All details I’m sure will be revealed in time.  The people need my help for now.” Says Graxxy.

Does Graxxy see any injured civilians or guards?

The guards turn to Gorlok and says "We were only informed of a potential woman walking around town although if we knew she had this much power, we would of been better prepared.."

Graxxy does see a few injured civilians as he looks around. As Graxxy peers towards where the Baron fled, he sees a column of smoke rising in the near distance. It seems that his intuition may have been correct.

Percy looks sadly at the pile of scrap that is Gotrek, " I fear I will have to repair you another time my friend." Percy will take the bag of holding and slide it over Gotrek. Percy looks in the direction the baron fled and motions to it as he comes up to the guards and Graxxy. " We should probably go investigate that. " Looking to the guards. " You all can come with us or try to help the civilians. I'm sure there will be need of you wherever you go."

Graxxy grins slightly at the smoke before erasing it to a stern look.

”Yes we should check that out indeed.  What’s been done has been done.  Not much we can do now.  No need to rush.” says Graxxy.

Graxxy looks toward the guards flashing his badge.

”We can handle investigating that smoke.  You have already helped tremendously.  If you could help gather the wounded healers can begin doing there work.  I will personally assist upon our return if I’m not spent from some unexpected battle.” says Graxxy
