Soveliss eyes Sildar with open curiosity, his gaze flickering to those of his companions as he thinks. "Well.... If it's for the 'good o' the town', I reckon it'd do some good if a group were ta.... investigate. See what they could find about who is runnin' the thugs, what their goal is. Maybe even... convince 'em ta move on out of town."
He scowls, remembering the times he had seen the thugs shaking down common folk of the town. "I know I've seen plenty since we got 'ere. They're a bunch o' no good."
"Gundren is missing? I just thought he was off on one of his procurement runs. Well, you lot seem trust worthy enough, if you need a tracker...Krammond Trollbleeder at your service. As for these thugs, I'm always up for some dethugging."He tips an imaginary hat in salute to his new found companions, then continues eating his breakfast as if nothing has happened.
Sildargives a slow nod, "Unfortunately. There were talks of a castle, and I know of a castle around here, I just have to confirm if the two... align." He picks up a spare piece of toast, butters it as he talks, "you should talk around; the people don't like being 'looked after' by these thugs. The temple of Tymora is not far, go to Priestess Garaele for a blessing in your endeavours. You'll need it however you decide to take on these slimy thugs..." He takes a large bite.
"Well, breakfast is over. Let's get this done". Not one to idle away a day, Krammond scoots his chair back, grabs a discarded sausage from one of the plates on the table and heads towards the door.
Soveliss grabs another piece of toast to shove into his mouth with one hand as the other snags his last piece of sausage from his plate."Mmmph, comin'," he calls to the retreating dwarf, his eyes flicking over the others as he scrambles to keep up, his lanky limbs not cooperating quite yet this morning.
Krammondis the first to step out and has a while to have a look around before noticing the semi-circular arranged stone pillars with a coin facing upwards held by three crystalline stones. You see a priestess tending to the simple, yet colourful flowers planted at the base of the pillars. This must be the shrine Sildarmentioned.
A moment later, the other come out and you all make your way to the shrine nearby, all noticing the figures donning the strip of red looming, glaring and sneering as you walk. The priestess notices your approach and stands to face you all, looking a little tired but a smile breaks through. "Welcome travellers, how may the luck of Tymora shine upon you today?"
Kharnyl is the first to speak up, "Good day priestess. I have travelled here from Eartheart to help the Rockseekers brothers with their mining expedition. It seems as though he was captured by a band of goblins on the Triboar trail. We cleared out their hideout but they may have taken him to some castle. We need quite a bit of luck if we're going to find him."
Giving Kharnyla gentle bow in response, the priestess listened keenly. Priestess Graelle takes a moment, giving the tiefling a smile and acknowledging his words, "Luck is granted to the brave, friend."
The elven woman places her hand on her chin in thought, "These are trying times. We are being tested and now is the time to rise, to at least help those who cannot fend for themselves. Several orders from the merchants here have gone missing while on the road, and your talk of goblins means this is no coincidence. I know not of any castle in the area, I have not been here long. There is a man who lives here, Daran a half-elf, who lives in the town, on the outskirts on an orchard. Perhaps he knows of any old castles in the area."
"Aye. I saw such a place on my way back into town this morning" Krammond takes the lead and heads west towards the orchard he saw during his morning ritual.
You all gather yourselves and make it to Edermath Orchard. You're welcomed by a member of staff who tending to the gardens of the establishment. With a smile, they guide you to the door after giving it a firm few taps. An man of not great height answers, his noticeable pointy ears give his heritage away despite carrying quite a human like face, which looks sightly surprised at the collection of peoples in front of him.
"Good morning. Seems like you lot have a word you want to say. Care for a chair and a some cider?" A smile curves ever so slightly onto his mouth.
"Ah, ye read my mind youngen! A cider for all, and chair of course." Krammond turns to the others and gestures that he's ordered drinks for all regardless of the early hour. "And if we could have an audience with Daran, if you please"
Kharnyl smiles politely at the half-elf and files him inside.
"Yes, some cider would be most welcome. An elf at the shrine to Tymora down the road suggested that you might have some local knowledge that might prove helpful to us, and in turn to the town. It concerns a dwarf by the name of Gundren Rockseeker. He's been taken by the goblin's we cleared out if a cave not far from here, but we've learned that he was moved to a goblin-held castle. Would you know where this castle can be found?"
You are all welcomed into a warm home with wooden furnishings; a fireplace ready for the day, a vase of flowers giving colour to the dining table and a weathered broken sword resting above the mantelpiece. The half-elf leads you all outside onto a veranda with enough chairs for everyone around a table with two large ice-cold flagons with glasses for everyone.
The half-elf pours himself a glass, looking out onto his orchard, giving the farmhands a greeting or a smile as they pass, "interesting you think me a young'un, dwarf! I'm Daran Edermath, pleasure to meet you." He gives Krammonda grin.
He gestures to Kharnyland everyone to help themselves to a seat, and a glass, "Ah, Sister Graele; a kind one. But you say Gundren's been kidnapped? Well, Bahamut's grace... He had grand plans that dwarf. I can't I know if any castle, but if you're talking about helping the town. Let's just say I don't think you need be looking of a castle. The problem is here, and all around... draped in red." The half-elf sneers before taking a long pull of his drink.
Kharnyl catches his meaning "... In red. You mean those hooligans, what made a fuss in the tavern last e'en? Surely, those sods couldn't be more than a nuisance. They ran off, tails tucked, at the first hint there might be some fisticuffs. Is there no authority in these parts?" Kharnyl shakes his head in dismay.
"How many of the knaves do you reckon are about?"

"Well thank you kindly, priestess. I will have a word with this Daran."
He pulls out a small coin purse and lays a copper on the shrine.
"A copper to the lady ..."

Rou nods and also leaves a copper piece behind. Watching the new dwarf lead. Rou will follow behind.
