Saw three witchy bints leaving that warehouse there! Smells bad bossman. Something ain't right in that place! There was fire and blood and screamingggaiiIGH! With the crowd scared like rats and these witches pulled daggers and 'ave you a copper, Sirah?
Again...any deception is her involvement, but the facts she relates are true. She'll try to get the watch to look in the warehouse.
They came from there! You look. Betting there's no good inside. (As i recall there was animal innards and magical markings on the floor, right?)
Klee continues her innocent pleading for help, swinging in behind Tahta's explanation. "Aye! Just came runnin' in the square they did, then this 'un bumped me n' dropped on the ground! Tis the devils in the dunny what done it, I tells ya! Me ma said so, saw 'em put one in yesserday!"
Oh. Wow. This is... interesting. Deet tries to look unthreatening and keeps his hands still, looking warily at the arriving guard. In a really badly executed whisper off to the side, he asks Arden: What. Should. We. Do??
Check that warehouse, guvnor. They all came a runnin' from there. Might be a whole coven of them waiting inside...mebbe a whole cult? Don't let them bring the walls down aroun' us! We're already soddin' poor. Don't let em gets our souls too!

Arden gives a half shrug in Deet’s direction followed by an almost imperceptible wink before looking back at the woman in shackles I made a mistake? The only mistake I made was walking down this bleedin alley! You’re the one who made the mistake, my chickadee! You’ll rue the day you crossed Malazar Mann! I’ll have you know the Manns won’t take their favorite son being accosted lightly! Take me back to the University, Francis! Arden motions with another wink to Deet as he almost collapsed into him. He is attempting to through them off the scent with the fake name and mention of the university. throw a wrench in their efforts to find them... deception16

Deet gapes for an extended period of time before he figures out what Arden wants. Yessir! Right away sir. Please don't let these... um... ruffians trouble you sir. Let's be off. He grabs Arden by the arm and pulls him away, and as he does so he turns and looks over his shoulder at the guards and says very quickly Thankyouforyourservice. Deception6
"Fellows!" Cragmyre calls back to Arden and Deet. "You forgot your effects." He paces back toward them with the McGuffin's box to hand it over, before turning to the guards, standing tall and proud and looking the leader in the eye amicably. "Gentlemen. I can speak to what the red child saw, if you need. And can I praise the swiftness of your command?"

The commander looks back and forward to all the people speaking to him at once.
Right, yes, well. We shall get to the bottom of things. Hrmph. Can you show me to this warehouse you speak of? Kelly, looks like we have some mystical shenanigans going on here, get someone from the Bastion would you?
The Dwarf, whose name is apparently Kelly, drops the unconscious woman that she was in the process of dragging back around the corner, and trots off up the alleyway towards the grand tower in the middle of Rashack Moor. Righto Guv.
And Pennyweather, three toots if you don't mind. We need a wagon here. The commander addresses the little man who blew the whistle before. He dutifully toots three sharp notes.
After you.. he addresses those gathered around him.
They came through here, Sirah. Awful smell about them. I shouldn't dare think what's inside. I'll not go in there. Not for nothing no hows...but that's the door it is.
(Since were going bold on this, can I summon my wildfire spirit inside the door when it opens? Since it's a beastshape power, there's no components. Standing away from the doorway and officers, Tahta is placing it in sight but some ways inside? Just long enough for the watch to see it...before it runs at them and disappears around them...maybe singeing them a bit)
Ah yes, says Deet to Cragmyre. The young sir's large heavy box that I cannot carry. Perhaps, good fellow, you would be so good as to accompany us after this business is resolved. There will be coin in it for you. As he says this, Deet attempts to imitate Arden and directs several horrifically obvious and possibly painful winks at Cragmyre.
"I would be happy to lend my labor,"Cragmyre replies, following the guards and his party toward the warehouse. "Yes, you should be careful,"he adds to Tahta. "The woman let out a blast of force and witchery is afoot."

As you all reach the back door to the warehouse the Commander goes to step in. He see's the symbols on the floor and the blood. His foot stops above the floor. He slowly retracts his foot. He turns to you all.
We shall wait for tha Magic Boffin. This 'ere is above my ken.He blows two sharp notes on his whistle.
In the meantime, one of the watch comes over to Arden to check on his "Wounds".
We can't have you goin anywhere just yet Mister Mann, till we 'ave the Doc look at ya.

Arden smiles at Deet but shakes his head Tempting, but no. He takes his hand off the wound in his side This one should suffice. He looks at the watchmen approaching him Alright, but I can’t tarry long. I would have my personal physician examine my wound. And would you please remove that woman? He says, indicating the woman who’s nose he broke Her presence unnerves me and I fear that she may seek to finish with magic what she started with that dagger. persuasion26
We 'ave to wait for those in char... oh wait 'ere we go.
A one horse covered wagon comes clackiting down the narrow alleyway. The women are gathered up, including the one who's short on heartbeats and roughly put into back. The loud one starts to protest but is clapped over the back of the head by a rather large Watchman that came with the wagon. A "Doctor" also came with the wagon and comes to look over Arden. He looks to be bored, over 100 years of age and by the looks of his shaking hands, has yet to have his first drink of the day.
At the back entrance to the warehouse the Commander looks as though he is about to dive into the ineffable world of Small Talk when the air next to him "pops" and there stands a woman in robes, facing the wrong direction. She shrugs and then turns around and jumps in fright. "Oh hello!"she says
The Commander fills her in and she pokes her head into the warehouse. She looks you all over for what seems a little too long.
"Right. Well then. So are we locking these people up as well? No? Breach of the peace maybe? No? Okay um so yes. Bit of a turn up, what! Let's call this what it is, teenagers dabbling in things they don't understand. Happens every now and then. Youth and exuberance. And all is taken care of. Verily. You can all go but we shant talk about this, what!"That last part, even though said in her foppish way, was most definitely a threat.
Deet gives a rather tentative wave to the Commander. I think we should go now,he whispers to Arden. I definitely think we should go, and that we should do that thing right now and not any other time at all. He starts moving purposefully towards anywhere that isn't where he is. If Arden joins, he will also whisper to him: Would you like me to try to heal you?
Cragmyre watches over the spectacle with growing curiosity which spikes when the woman appears. Hi brow furrows further as she speaks, and he follows Deet and Arden out. Once firmly out of earshot he speaks. "I do not like thinking of this swept beneath the sand. I do not like that woman or how she handles the law. This witch should be better dealt with. We should hurry back and look for Ms. Fletcher."

Oh. Wow. This is... interesting. Deet tries to look unthreatening and keeps his hands still, looking warily at the arriving guard. In a really badly executed whisper off to the side, he asks Arden: What. Should. We. Do??
One of the Guard checks on the dead woman and addresses the apparent leader of the group.
Snuffed it Guv. he says
Check around the corner the leader says to the other City Watch member, a rather rotund female dwarf.
Right Guv she says and trots around the corner to where the once fleeing woman lies unconscious.
'Nufer one over here she yells back. Still kickin'
The whistle blower is in the process of putting shackles on the third woman.
The woman glares at Arden as the manacles bite into her skin You've made a huge mistake young man. Huge!

I'm scorching that plan...just too much bravado. It's not quite where she's at so she'll just stand at the door as they enter and look around.
If nothing else drastic happens, she'll head back to the hostel and meet the team.
