"We are looking for a mask. There is someone here attempting to steal it, and we wish to stop him. Do you know where it may be, and point us in the direction?"
"Mask? I haven't heard of a mask. Other than you, I haven't seen anyone for almost a century. I do believe the Pool can give you an answer though, but there is a price."

"The Pool demands a personal sacrifice to be used. When Diderius found it long ago, it only had to be something simple, such as a favorite sword. But since the Snake-people have been using it for years, the price must be dark indeed." Ilda randomly starts singing a tune.

"Let us go." Leshanna says, the illogical responses of this thing grating on her nerves. she heads back out of the library, and waits in the previous room for the others.
(As a purely logical person, the strange changes in the ghost being would completely grate on Leshanna...)
"You may take the door to the North," She points down the library. "Or you may go through the room you cam through, and take the North door there. Remember, be humble." Ilda suddenly disappears.

"Well we might as well go back though the chamber we came in through as I believe Leshanna is already waiting for us there. Then we can head through the door to the north."
As the party went to the next room Tarkin felt it safe to follow and move toward the south door (which they went through). But Leshanna returned to the room. As she exits the south door back into the previous room she will catch Tarkin offguard walking, silently but not really hiding.
Tarkin stops in his tracks and is now eyeing Leshanna. The halfling is wearing his hood over his head again, a dark green hood streching into a cap draping over his back and somewhat cover his sides. His arm blocking the cape from wrapping around him.
A brownleather outfit is shown from the front, the hood not letting in to much light so his face will not be clearly visible.
Oh hello he says somewhat shocked and cursing himself from moving out of his stealthy spot to soon.
He continues to speak as he raises his left hand in the air making a stopping gesture to keep Leshanna at a distance for now I mean you no harm, I have been sent on business by Waterdeep officials. I have no quarrel with you.
While he says this he shifts his position keeping his left hand in the air and moves his left foot forward also. This way Leshanna would not have a direct line of sight on his right hand as it gets covered by his body. He places his right hand on the hilt of one of his shortswords attached to his belt but does not draw it out yet.
I came down here, well we came down here because we heard a lot of noise. Seems like your party sprung a trap in the previous room. My party is still there, close by inspecting things.
(deception 21 since hes here alone trying to make it seem hes not outnumbered)
Perhaps you are in need of aid, what business brings you here if i may ask?
(i assume somewhere along the line of this others of the party come back into the room as Raishan mentions they could go back)

Leshanna insight: 10
"All that is fine and good." Leshanna says with a shrug, already with her longbow in hand. She puts an arrow to the string and holds it where she can draw and fire in an instant. "We can just wait right here while your friends, and mine, join us then."
"Go with the light spirit" Aeson says as the spirit vanishes. He walks back to join Leshanna in the previous room.
Upon entering the room Aeson lays eyes on the halfling and quickly raises his shield, somewhat cowering behind it. Without thinking he yells out "Leshanna look out!"
"I am nothing but humble. I hope you find peace here. And maybe like, a jester ghost to tend to your entertainment because it must be horribly boring in here. My god."

"Says they are here on official business from Waterdeep." Leshanna says over her shoulder, never taking her eyes from the newcomer. "Says his companions should be joining him quite soon."
Raishan assesses the situation and then calmly says, "I am sure everyone here is a friend, we will work this all out when your friends arrive. Why don;t you go ahead and call them to you and let them know there are friends that want to meet them."
Tarkin then stands straight as he slowly moves his left hand to remove his hood. Showing the halflings face. Short sandy brown hair on his head, a tanned complexion and from the left side of his neck (as far as visible with his leather armor) up till about half of his left cheek he has clear burnmarks. Scarred skin that does not look like they are years old.
He puffs his chest standing as tall as he can with his head held high.
Looking to Raishan, Yes we are not foes. The land is under attack by a larger evil. We need not fight eachother.
As his eyes dart between the members of the group. My party... He looks down for a moment with sorrow displayed on his face.. I am alone here.
He pauses for a moment to see the reaction of the group, unsure how they will respond.
But i am not without skill, so dont get any ideas. He says with a firm look.
I am Tarkin Cobblepot, on a mission to locate uprising dragons and their followers. With recent events and judging by your outfits i presume you are on a similar mission. Perhaps we can aid eachother in this.
"Very well." Leshanna says with a shrug. It would seem logical to her that, if they are working to the same ends, they should work together. She would nod to the northern doors. "We are heading that way, do you have any ability to check those doors for traps?"

Tarkin thinks a moment
Well I... I suppose i could..
He will take a few steps towards the door then turns to look at the group. Ill have you know spotting traps is not my speciality.
But in light of working together i gues i can take look.
Tarkin will continue walking to the door and first pace left and right of the door trying to see if he spots anything.
(perception to spot traps 7)
If he doesnt notice anything he will start to feel around inspecting it a bit closer, and if he still does not notice anything he will try pushing the door open.

Tarkin:
These fancy doors seem do be hiding nothing dangerous.
A loud cracking noise comes from behind the tapestries, along with a few moans. One of the moans clearly says, "humility". From behind the rugs comes out several humanoid figures, all wrapped in old cloth, red eyes can be seen glowing from under the wrappings.
Aeson:
As you look around, you notice the shelves bear cob webs. But only cob webs, not a single book or scroll can be seen.
