You all see a ball of flame rise into the sky, before you can even shout a warning the ball crashes into the wall in front of you. It sends debris flying in all directions. A large plank catches Ander in the shoulder as he begins to cast a fire bolt. The bolt shoots straight despite the disruption. It bursts right in the chest of one of the orcs attacking Grimnir. Ander takes 3 damage. And the orc lays flat on his back. There is a thick smoke emerging from the hole in the wall. From that smoke you see a hulking figure in full plate armor. He screams a command that you don't understand and a second figure joins him.
You don't know what has changed... But these don't seem like younglings anymore.

Guido glides up to the paralyzed orc and with a few swift movements dispatches him. Grimnir claves through the orc assaulting him with one mighty swing. The large orcs laugh as the magical bolts fly by them, the pull great axes off their backs that look like they have blades the size if Grimnirs torso, you hear Jana mutter something under her breath as she shoots a cross boe bolt
To hit 16 damage 6 will save 16
The bolt bounces off the orc as you hear it scream a command, you begin to see shadowy forms emerge from the smoke... Everyone make a dex save!
Another flaming boulder crashes through the wall to your right, debris flies right toward you, stones and wood strike Grimnir and Ander for 4 damage. Varis leaps into action snatching debris out of the air and sparing Guido from a painful blow. Through the smoke to your right you see an army of hooded figures pouring into the fray, shooting bolts of magical energy and chanting a war cry.
Directly in front of you are the two large orcs and the smaller figures coming into sight. To your right you see the hooded figures pouring into the battle. To the left is the open gate. And behind you is a solid section of wall and a lookout tower. You get the impression that you are not anyones primary focus... For the moment.
After being hit by the debris and knocked prone to the ground, Grimnir quickly gathers himself hoists his shield high over his head. Holding his bleeding side, he makes a break for the front gate behind Guido. He stops short of going through the gate to ensure everyone else is following.

You make your way to the open gate with great haste. The battle rages behind you as the hooded figures meet the orcs in the middle of the outpost. Smoke has started to obscure your vision, but as you get closer to the gate you see something in the distance. You see a small army of shadowed figures. Just as you dig your heels in to stop, Grimnir recognizes a familiar emblem from his days in the military. You see the emblem of Vaseci flying on a large banner.
As you come closer you begin to make out the details of the figures. They are mostly human, mostly heavily armored and heavily armed. You see a man at the front of the pack, barking orders and preparing siege weaponry. He is blond, with trimmed beard, and is adorned with very opulent armor. Grimnir recognizes him as a captain in the Vaseci Militia based on the emblems, trinkets, and medals that adorn his glistening armor. Grimnir notices the Golden Lion Shoulder Guard, which he would know is only given to a handful of high ranking officers. You don't know this man, but you know that he is a big deal in Vaseci. Once he gets a visual of you he shouts in a deafening voice; "You there, Get. Here. Now. We are here to get you home. Where are the others?"Just as he says that a small band of orc younglings charge the flank of the small brigade. The dozen younglings don't last more than a moment against the troop of about 100, but it was enough to cause a distraction. Even though his voice booms over the clatter, there is still the sound of a violent battle just behind you.
You look back to see Varis, Grimnir, and Ander right on your heels. Pafaren, Colter and Jana are maybe 15 yards behind them. You see Pafaren fumbling with vials as he runs, trying not to drop any of them from his pockets. Colter is trying to assist him, while also pushing Jana forward to safety. You don't get the sense that they are in danger, but they are moving a little slower than you.
The man looks at you grimly and says in his booming voice; "That's all?" he pauses for a moment. "We leave now. We need to regroup. This is worse than we could have imagined."He turns and barks an order to retreat to his brigade, who all fall into formation and start marching into the woods, toward the smoke signals Grimnir saw.
Varis is rather confused by this rescue, though not ready to question it. He keeps quiet and follows along, whether it is out of no words or too many fumbling words. He looks around as they trek through the woods, looking to see what was unnoticeable from the watch tower.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grimnir attempts to obscure his face because he does not want to be recognized by the Captain of the Vaseci brigade.
Just let me know how you want to handle the spot checks of the soldiers versus Grimnir's deception skill (which takes a -1, by the way) I'm not sure whether to roll a D20-1 or not. :D
If so: 14 If not, disregard...lol
He ensures all the others have made their egress before taking up the rear and following the men back into the forest.

The reliquary holding has no influence in this, I just felt like he's in a panic and needed to grab it for comfort.
