Kronk It’s too far away to know for certain what kind of building it is. You can see it clearly, it’s just way too far. However, when you, Kronk, look at it, you feel a sense of dread.
Brodan will focus on getting his feet on the land, keeping his staff at the ready so that he can cast as soon as something remotely theatening comes along.
The ship, slowly but surely, arrives at land, even going a bit too far and on the ground. The party is at a location unfamiliar to them, a place they were not expecting to be. Brynn and her crew will stay with the ship to go through repairs, but it seems like it will take much longer than intended.
The party is considerably closer to the building Kronk had seen. Everyone roll for perception.
Disembarking, Harq looks to the group and smiles, saying "Well... we've all been through a ship wreck together. Though we've only known each other a few short days, I'd say we're definitely a crew now." He then turns to the captain and says "Cap'n. What shall we do with the mutineers? oh. And what happened with their prisoner and Mulke during the storm? We didn't have time to toss him overboard to feed the sharks."
Because the sun is currently very bright, you all have to squint. You can make out a group of figures slowly approaching you. Helena, with the highest roll, you can count 4 figures in total. You can all see that it looks like they’re wearing these green cloaks that are able to reflect a small amount of sunlight, which makes them seem shiny. They are at the top of a hill about 50ft from you.
"Amazing how the sea weather changes so quickly eh?" Harq says "One second you're bailing water, and the next squinting in the sun." Then pointing towards the figures adds "What do you make of this group?"
"They're already rather close... might's well see if they're friendly eh?" Harq says to the group, and then shouts to the strangers "Quite a storm that just passed eh? Care to lend a hand?"
These beings are not familiar to Lia in any way, but you could try a history check.
One of the cloaked beings ((2nd from the left)) in the middle points towards Kronk and whispers something none of you can hear. Two of his companions ((first and fourth in the same order)) raise their hands palm up and some kind of arcane magic begins to form in each hand. The third one yells out in a somewhat human voice, “Get back from the large one! He’s dangerous!” None of them throw any spells your way, but it seems #1 and #4 are prepared to defend themselves. They are not comforted by the fact that Kronk just raised his maul.
Helena frowns as the figures begin to cast magic. She raises her bow and aims it at the third figure who shouted out. "He's as dangerous as you and me, stranger! Tell your people to stand down and we'll do the same. We only need to repair our ship and then we'll be on our way!"
It appears as though you’re heading to the middle of nowhere. You can see the very top of a tall building in the distance.
Kronk will peer at the building top; does he recognize it? What sort of building it is?
