"Certainly," replied Elwin, as he had his owl perch on another large tree. (( Roll:14 ))
Once perched, he made use of his Winged Boots to dismount and float over toward Del. "Shall I go down closer to investigate?" he asked. "Or do you have another plan?"
I'm asking the tree Del answers If it knows how to get closer to Blackthorn we'll go there. Otherwise, we'll land and search from the ground. Lord Mindartis said something about moving plants, so we might have to fight.

The tree tells Del that the warrior went between the fallen trees. And it warns you, "Watch out for that tree over there...it's not from here."
When Raven gets low enough, she notices two dead threes that have fallen together to form a natural arch...it seem strangely familiar.

Del points out the tree that we were warned about and that "a warrior" went between the fallen trees. He'll have the 3 unridden owls (now that E is travelling by boot) go down first an clear a space for us to land, attacking if anything is in the area in front of the natural arch, then the rest of us can land as desired. Then the other 5 can support us, attacking the bad tree if it acts bad. Seems like it might be landing into combat, so be careful. And also careful of the native trees, Ziia wouldn't like us to damage them

The tree you were warned about is a big, dead-looking tree right next to the arch. Clumps of vines surround it, and there are hollows and cracks that you just possibly might interpret as a face, of you were staring at it for a while. It looks damaged, as if someone has recently been hacking at it with an axe...or a sword.

As the three owls descended to clear a space, Elwin watched carefully, waiting to see if anything attacked. He decided to take another defensive posture too, just in case.
"Eisrüstung," he spoke in a low tone, motioning with his spear to summon a protective layer of misty frost onto his person.
As the owls approach the arch, the three clumps of vines move toward them, taking humanoid form, and the tree turns to watch.

Okay, initiative order is: Vine blights: then the entire party: then the tree blight.
As the owls swoop down, the vine c=blights lash out with their creepy creepers, each at a different owl.
Blight 1 Attack: 20 Damage: 16
Blight 1 Attack: 20 Damage: 4
Blight 1 Attack: 6 Damage: 4
Owl 2 and 3 are grappled: they can still attack, but only the blight that is grappling them...
