Most of the conversation at the table is about the army of gnolls spotted in northern Kalaine. They don't seem be moving, and the nearby farms and villages are evacuating, taking as much of their supplies and possessions as they can before the monsters start their inevitable raids. There is a lot of speculation about what target they are planning to attack. For now they seem intent on destroying the forest in their immediate vicinity.

The High Druid and Sister Almara send back best wishes and blessings.
Servants come to Raven's quarters with a large metal tub, which they fill with bubbly, scented hot water.
You all have a relaxing night, safe under the protection of the Knights of the Hall, and wake up rested. Except Elwin, of course. ^^

Elwin had been lucky enough to get a short rest in before his vigil the previous night. Which seemed like it had been a good idea... he yawned as he came from the kitchen, a towel across his shoulder and an apron dirty with flour and other foodstuffs across his lap. Seeing his compatriots, he approached and smiled. "Hope you enjoyed the breakfast," he said a little guiltily. "It was my first time making bread, but I don't think anything went wrong other than it being a little... overly-toasted."
At Raven's question, he nodded, realizing he was going to have a full next few days. "If you can give me an hour for another nap, I should be able to assist with my spear," he said as he began untying his apron. "But if you all do run off ahead, just... be careful." Surprised at the level of concern he had himself put into his statement, Elwin quickly turned to toss the apron and towel into a basket near the kitchen entrance, then dashed off toward... the horse stalls?
"I've just got to take a look before I lay down," he thought to himself as he approached Oroman's stall. Almost nervous, he looked in, and his mouth fell open. The horse indeed looked younger and stronger, as stated, and the new plate barding he wore looked even more magnificent that what he'd seen last night. As he pet his mount's nose, he could see a new gleam in the horse's eye, one of--understanding? Knowledge?
"Can you... can you actually understand me?" asked Elwin tentatively. He immediately got a sideways glance from Oroman and a curt snort. Unconvinced, Elwin continued, "alright then, ah... what's... hmm, what's four and two?" The horse immediately and deliberately stamped into the dirt five times, then looked directly at Elwin, who stood there for a second. Finally, he leapt at the pause with "Aha! I didn--" just as Oroman, apparently waiting for him, stamped one more time. The mount then gave a full, mirthful whinny.
Elwin just shook his head and laughed. "Well then," he said as he pet the newly-empowered horse one last time, "this should make things interesting, eh?" With that, he turned and hurriedly left the stalls, heading back toward his room for another quick rest.
As Elwin leaves the stables, he trips over what looks like a pile of old buckets and rusty cans. As he picks himself up from the stable floor, so does the pile.
On second glance, it is not a heap of trash, exactly, but a goblin in a makeshift suit of junk armor.
On third glance, it's Eggric. "Oi, human!" the goblin says. "Are you ready for smashings and snoopings? Knight needs a squire and Squire Eggric is ready to be backup.Boss says it's the most unob...obtuse...sneakiest way to stay by you." He salutes and a sheet-metal pauldron falls off his shoulder.

Before retiring for the night Mindartis writes a letter to Arania (which i will write when my headache subsides) congratulating her and wishing her well. He goes to find somewhere to pay for it to be sent to her along, with the staff and fishhook.
Elwin blinked at the goblin. Realizing who it was, his brow wrinkled in frustration... not just at the idea of being saddled with a squire already, but for it to be this guy, one of Tagec's men.
"Okay," he finally said after staring at the creature for several seconds. "Yes, you can pretend to be my squire. Hide here with Oroman and stay out of trouble for now, I'll be back here to pick you up with my horse in an hour."
Without another word, the warlock turned and stomped off, eventually stopping for a second to look back, wondering what he was getting into.
On finding about E's horse Del remarks Is this a boon from your patron or something new from the Hall? Either way, it's well deserved, Sir Elwin. I know you won't forget the rest of us street folks in your kind heart.
Quentin spends the night going through his spell books and wondering what is happening at the Castle where his siblings and the Prince are. Wishing he could go and see them.
(( Sorry to take liberties, but it seems safe to presume no one objected to waiting an hour for Elwin ))
Upon Elwin returning from his quick rest after breakfast, he responded to Del's remarks, "It was actually from my patron. She said... well... that things might will getting dangerous for us, so she prepared Oroman for the task. I'm not sure of the details there, but we'll probably want to be on our guard when we go to find out about those kids."
He then turned to Raven, with a sheepish smile and a shrug. "Sorry for the delay, but I appreciate the wait. I'm ready whenever everyone else is now."
(( If our heading out is rushed, please presume Elwin grabbed both Oroman and Eggric ))
Seeing everyone saddled and ready to go, Eggric disappears behind the stable and reappears mounted on a scruffy black nanny goat with udders dangling nearly to the ground, and a few old pots and pans tied onto her as makeshift armor. However fast you ride toward Yonpinagel, the goat seems to have no trouble keeping up.
You arrive in the city, and see nothing particularly different from the previous day. The barkers in the street seem to call out their advertisements to you even more hopefully...word sees to have got out that you dropped some money in town yesterday.
