Raven would consider if any of her contacts might have more information. If she thinks of someone who might, she would suggest going there, otherwise she will suggest going to check out pitchpine as their next stop.

Okay, Pitchpine it is. Del agrees, and sets off when we are ready
Later, we may want to go back to the sock shop - Tagec said he knew some little bit about missing kids, that he'd tell us after, but did not seem to know that it was connected to Huark through his missing Cup. Maybe he'd be more forthcoming if he knew it would help his cause.

"It is always an option," Mindartis agrees. "The idea of people kidnapping children is appalling to me."
Elwin nodded his head at the sentiment, his grip tightening on his spear. The involuntary action made him realize he was still carrying it; with a whim, he dismissed the pact weapon, causing it to vanish in a burst of icy mist.
He continued following the others as they headed to Pitchpine, but he had already decided--he was not fond of this Tagec, and might have some choice words for him when he next saw him.
"Oh?" came the reply. Elwin couldn't help but smile a bit; he'd somehow expected an elf from the Feywild to be more knowledgeable about warlocks, although he honestly had no reason why that should be the case.
"My patron allows me to summon a weapon as needed, or to dismiss it at will." He paused as he remembered the possibilities this presented. "It's quite handy when you need to appear unarmed; or when you want to change to a more suitable weapon, even."
He turned to Mindartis. "Surely you've encountered summoning spells in your travels? I would have thought the Feywild would have all sorts of magic everywhere!"
There's no getting to Pitchpine through the branches--all the dead pine's lower branches fell away centuries ago, leaving only a skeleton network of long, scraggly black limbs high above the populated regions, clutching at the neighboring trees for support. You descend to the ground level, amid Hickory's lumber piles and construction yards and make your way to the central market. In the midst of all the great trees is a shady garden surrounding a placid pool. The bushes and hedges are not blooming yet, but there are a few small, early flowers peeping out from within the thin spring grass.
Around the edges of this park is the Free City's central shopping district, full of every kind of shop imaginable, and an open market where farmers and crafters sell their goods. It is usually bustling, but at the moment, the bustle mainly consists of shopkeepers locking up, market sellers packing up their wares, last-minute shoppers rushing to make purchases before the stores close, and police patrollers in red and white tabards sternly reminding families that the curfew is in effect, and that their children need to be indoors within a little over an hour.
You see a couple of elvish farm kids with a cart (you feel like you've seen them before...on the road) arguing with a police gnome.
"But we were going to sleep in a knothole in Pitchpine, like Little Orphan Aldwin!" the little boy complains.
The gnome clutches his helmet. "You most certainly will not! The bard who wrote those songs ought to be flogged! You will stay at an inn. The Mushroom Cap is just over there, and I know you can afford it--you were selling that birch syrup like it was liquid gold. And I don't have any jurisdiction over the Wilderness, so I won't say anything about illegal harvesting, if you just spend the night somewhere safe!"
"We need that money," the older sister says. "We're going to buy Papa a new plow horse."
"An owlbear got in the barn during the winter and ate poor ol' Biscuit," says the little boy. "Owlbears LOVE horsemeat."
"If your parents don't know where you are, they're probably sick with worry," says the gnome. "You need to get home safe. It's either the inn, or JAIL!!!"
"Jail?"" say the kids eagerly, and the boy adds, "Like when Little Orphan Aldwin stole the mayor's pie, and--"
The gnome smacks himself on the forehead, then grabs the two kids by the collars and drags them toward Hickory (among the roots of which, Raven has regrettable cause to know, the city lock-up is.) The farm cart is left behind.
As you leave the market toward Pitchpine, you enter an area of warehouses and boxy structures that look like they were slapped together without any craftsmanship or attempt to make them attractive or natural-looking--strange for this city of elves and forest gnomes. Even the run-down houses on Locust had carved eaves and shingles of preserved natural leaves. As you go on, the plain buildings become more dilapidated, and you get the feeling of a neighborhood which was never cared for, and is now nearly abandoned.
But not entirely. Occasionally, you catch a sudden of movement behind a broken door, or a small elfin or gnomish face peers at you from around a corner. Like the shopkeepers, the street children are making their way home from the place they make their living. Del and Elwin know that being a child on the streets is a constant fight for survival, but it seems like today, at least, the pickings must have been good, or the spring weather has the urchins feeling frisky--as you approach a large, open square, you see several kids running around and laughing, having some kind of game. Others sit on the steps of an abandoned building, swapping the day's findings and sharing a meal. At the far end of the square, past a public water pump, two older children swing a shabby chunk of old rope, chanting a sing-song rhyme as the smaller urchins take turns jumping.
You are the only adults in sight. Wary glances and stares are cast in your direction, but for the most part, so far, they are avoiding and ignoring you.

Elwin stepped up behind Del and casts Prestidigitation, generating showers of sparks, harmless gusts of wind, and faint, funny combinations of musical notes.
Looking at the children and smiling, there was a certain twinge of--nostalgia? Sympathy? He wished he could do something for each of these children, but he knew his limits... and how the game was played.
"We're just looking for the tabaxi, the one named 'Cup!'" he announced cheerfully, as if pleased with his own performance. With another flourish, the sparks began to change color, with the ground beneath him and Del changing color to match. "The ogre was taking care of him, and we think he ran away." Elwin looked sad at this point, almost disappointed at the tabaxi's behavior; even the sparks and magical effects were lessening at the thought of the youth not being there. "Any of you seen him?" came the expectant request, an eager twinkle in Elwin's eye. Surely word regarding the child would pick the magician's spirits back up?
