Captain Kibble answers Quentin, "Yes, the job is for all of you. All of you might be asked to stand witness as well, though from what I understand, it was Elwin and Del down in the mole hole who actually saw the suspects."
You all scatter to get some rest. In four hours, Mindartis and Quentin come down looking rested and chipper, Del and Elwin stumble down looking tired and rumpled, and Raven refuses to get out of her bed until a large, friendly skunk jumps up to join her and lick her face. Marita has a quick breakfast (lunch for her other patrons) of cold meat, bread and cheese spread out for you all.
A carriage waits at the foot of the tree with the seal of the kingdom on the doors. (A hammer resting, in flames.) The carriage is large and comfortable, and you can grab a little more nap if you like, fill in Captain Kibble on your adventures, and/or just watch the scenery as the carriage drives through the busy marketplace and out of the city toward the east.

Quentin will take the time to inform the gnome about their adventures since they last parted Henry the owl taking a nap right next to Elwin, providing almost a nice pillow for the human as it is their normal nap time.
"Shut up all of you..." Raven grumbles as she is a light sleeper and the talking is keeping her from sleeping very much. She tosses and turns, flopping about in the seat as she attempts to get some sleep.
The ride passes quickly. You leave the city, entering the royal forest--not giants like the Free City's grove, but still great old trees, immensely tall, reaching for sunlight through the branches of their neighbors. Under them, sometimes you see tangled wildernesses of smaller trees and underbrush, sometimes nothing but leaf-covered ground with a few stray hairs of grass or wildflowers sticking up through it. There is little sign of habitation...just a few small huts and the entrances to gnome burrows. When at last you come to the outer gate of the castle, it seems strangely isolated and unguarded. The carriage stops in a courtyard paved with an intricate mosaic of stones. Here there is plenty of life--nobles strolling, guardsmen of the King's Guard training, servants bustling about their duties, and even a few elf children running and playing with a large dog.
Kibble and Zanzibar wake the sleepers.
The castle is tall, and the parts of it you can see are pale stone, carved in a pattern of wind-driven leaves and blossoms. Most of it is covered, though, by leafy vines. All around the base of the walls are huge knobbly knots of roots, from which heavy brown trunks snake up the wall, sending out leaf-covered shoots in every direction. The castle looks as if it's drowning in leaves.
Entering the castle, the two King's Guards in black and gold tabards who are stationed at the door salute Kibble. She asks a page to tell the prosecuter that the witnesses are here, and he hurries away.
Kibble leads you to a small room and asks you to wait. "This castle was built by the evil wizard Grimmerang's foul magic, and the wild Fey magic of the land rose to fight it," she says. "After he was killed, the Fey magic took the place over. Mostly. If any mysterious doors suddenly appear in the walls while you are visiting, call a guard and don't go in."

"Will do. Is there an other off limit areas?"Quentin asks as they are led inside the castle before answering Del,"Currently I'm attempting to give things full motion flight instead of just levitation. Other than that working on cancelling out magic. Haven't fully decided if I'm going to shift the spell casting to countering spells before they are even cast or to dispelling magic that is already there."
"I would take offense to the comment about doors appearing from nowhere," Mindartis raises an eyebrow, "but I will concede that finding yourself in the Feywild, or bringing something through from the Feywild when unprepared, is not a great idea."
"Don't worry, you will not be able to accidentally wander into any forbidden areas, Lord Quentin, they are protected," says Kibble. "By the way, titles are used in the castle, so I hope you have not become too unused to using them. And take no offense on behalf of fey magic, Mindartis. The fey magic here is friendly, it is the stubborn remains of Grimmerang's power that causes the occasional...inconvenience."
After a short wait, the page comes back to summon you to the court.
You follow him to an enormous room which, like the outside of the castle, has heavy, thick vines snaking up the walls. You see no leaves here, though, except for the occasional autumn-colored leaf that drifts down from...somewhere. Instead of a ceiling, the room seems to go on forever upward into a cloud of slightly green mist glowing as if a particularly bright sun is trying to shine through it. The room is round, and curved banks of seats, filled with spectators line the walls. Ahead of you, on the opposite end of the room is a a red-faced, sandy-haired, black-robed, stout elf at a desk with a large wooden chair--he must be the judge, you think. Left of him you see an elf sitting in a chair that seems to have been formed somehow from the vines that grow form the walls. He wears a crown of leaves of every season-- the pale green of spring, dark green of summer, red and gold of autumn and even the dead, brown of winter. Beside him are three other elves wearing thin circlets of gold.
You can see Lemmet Naica here, slouching in a front-row chair beside a young girl. Judging from his expression, the trial is not going well for him.
A man with pointed features and foxy eyes looks at you with relief. "Your honor, the next witnesses for the prosecution have arrived."
"And about time, too," grumbles the judge. "I am through with your stalling, Lord Flaniet. Put them on the stand or rest your case."
"Er," says the prosecuting attorney, looking at you. "First to bear witness will be--"
"Just put them all on the stand," says the man in the crown. "Let's be done with this."
The page ushers you all into a rather crowded witness box, and the prosecuting attorney says, "These are the brave and noble heroes that came to the aid of the Thamasaille students when an experiment went wrong and giant moles ravaged the fields of the academy. Now, will you please state your names for the court, and tell us what occurred on the Night of the Mole Terror?"

"Telling us to not go into strange door is like telling a child not to enjoy the candy they are eating." Raven says in a soft voice as she follows the others.
Del is making up what he thinks is the right kind of courtesy Galanodel Tosh, may it please the court, late of the Abbey of the Unknown Goddess in Slate City. We five were walking from the Monkey Shines - where we had taken lunch, and negotiated a settlement between the Naicas and some satyrs - to the Thamasaille Simul where we hoped to get transit to Free City. We came upon students in the field discussing experiments. Four pony-sized moles surfaced and attacked the students. We attacked the moles, three were quickly dispatched. A fourth burrowed down, and later emerged even larger than before. My spell forced it to flee, burrowing. Brother Elwin and I chased it down the tunnel, in hope of preventing it from doing further damage. By chance, I believe, the confused beast crashed into an underground wall, which broke open. As we finished off the poor mole, we could see through the ruined wall an elf and four satyrs. The elf, I recognize him right there nodding to the defendant said "cover my escape" and fled, the satyrs followed right behind. I should note that while negotiating the abovementioned agreement, we learned of the four missing satyrs (Jop, Fip, Skump and Hart) and Lemmet Naica, missing as well. So our suspicion was that those were the beings we saw. That was never conformed, but as I said, that gentle-elf is the one I saw underground.
