Meanwhile, in the Westwoods...

Del will explain : to make this work we need to put everything heavy in the dungeon, Prince, foals and farmers too. Our packs and bedding and some light source to make it comfortable (we should get some couches etc). Del can summon 8 Giant Owls for an hour - we ride 5 and have 3 for scouting and defense. We might not get all the way in an hour, but a good fraction. We need to be sure to land safely in plenty of time. The understand elvish and sylvan so you can direct them somewhat - E should stay close to D

Once everyone is all the way ready to mount, Del will call 8 giant owls and have them fly us across the river then on towards Raven's dad

Mindartis nods and starts going about moving equipment into the tapestry, stowing everything in neat piles as best he can. Being as gentle as he can, he reinforces the makeshift stale the foals are in with extra rope to ensure they wont be moving outside that area very easily. That being done, he'll hand his torches and tinderbox to the farmers.

Elwin will pack up without much discussion, placing his shield onto his back and wielding his pact weapon, now transformed into a longbow.

If he had thought mounting a horse was a new experience, he kept curiously quiet as to what it was like trying to mount a giant owl for the first time....

The farmers promise to look after the foals while they are all inside together, and soon all your excess baggage is moved into the portable dungeon.  You mount the owls and soon are airborne. The adventurer carrying the portable dungeon can catch the smell of torch smoke, and occasional bits of conversation between the Lomalos farmers...unlike portable holes and bags of holding, the dungeon is clearly made to be breathable.

Most of what you can see below are the tops of trees, between which you can see gradually increasing stretches of water until you are over water so wide it can only be the river.  Though the Arasrok runs quite shallowly through the fens, and you can see lots of reeds and small islands and crocodiles you won't have to deal with below, the deeper central channel is clear and has boat traffic on it...small, local fishing boats and a few larger riverboats, two floating downstream to the west, one slowly paddling its way to the east with banks of oars flashing to the rhythm of drums.

Once the river is crossed, the dark trees close in again.  You fly over miles of dense wilderness and giant swamp trees.  To the west, you can see the dark spires of Castle Whisper poking above the forest.  As you fly on further, the forest thins as the ground becomes drier, and you can see small farmsteads in clearings. 

The owls are swift, and do not have to deal with the bracken and mud and uncertain footing of the fens: you make what could have taken two days on foot in a mere two hours. (Two summonings, with a brief landing on a fishing dock beside the river to swap out owls.) 

Raven finds herself at home again, as the giant owls swoop into the yard before the small manor house of her father, chickens, geese and ducks scattering in panic before them.  There is a manor house here (small for a manor, large for a farmhouse) and a barn/stable, a few outbuildings, and a few small cottages and hovels nearby for the servants who work in the Blackblade house and farm.  Beyond the house to the north, Raven can see the farm hands plowing the fields with her father's draft horses.

As he dismounted, Elwin realized he had to again force his hands to pry open and release the owl feathers they'd been clutching. Chuckling at himself, he looked around in surprise, impressed by the manor and farmlands.

Free of the owl, Mindartis looks through the belongings that he did bring along, looking for the wiker hoop. "Let's see if we're still on the right side of the hedge," he says, looking to Elwin.

Del is nervous about the stupid hoop. Wait, one possibility is that it goes right back to the gingerbread house, and then returns to that same point in the fens. Lets be really ready before our next experiment

He also wants to send the message to the king. Unless Blackblade the Elder has another contact method - this would be his final 3rd level slot. But otherwise Del casts Sending to his Majesty: 

Tracked gnolls, leaders, captives to Feywild.
Children, small folk taken elsewhere.
Recovered adults, at Blackblades’s.
Twenty including Prince crystalized by another Barleyman – Need restoration method

"I understand your worries," Mindartis says, "but I need to know."

Del gets a quick response to his Sending: "Remain where you are. Aid will be sent with all haste. I am told, remove sugar before Greater Restoration or high level Dispel Magic."

((BTW, if the party is going to split, who has the portable dungeon, and what if anything are you doing with its contents and/or inhabitants?))

(Mindartis will let the party keep the portable dungeon, and will go through by himself if the rest of the party wishes to stay and rest. I'm assuming we'll let the farmers out.)

His Majesty says to stay here. We will need much higher magic than I have after the sugar is removed to restore them

The four Lomalos farmers are relieved to see day light once again, and to be on a farm, where the world makes a bit more sense.

Once Mindartis is sure that everyone is okay, he will use the wicker hoop.

I really want to know how the geography of those things works as well Del says to M If you do not come back immediately I will try call you tomorrow morning - Sending works across planes most of the time

Mindartis nods, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."

Raven dismounts from her owl, then glances around, glad to see the place looks like things are still normal here. She had been half-worried of finding the place burned down and ransacked by gnoll warbands.  Moving straight for the house, she tries to find her father.

Del gains 10 temp hit points, Mindartis takes 10 dmg

"Err... here, let me try something," Mindartis says putting a hand on Del's shoulder and trying to give him some of the power the Feywild granted him from his long life there.

Mindartis winces as the power surges, but chuckles when he sees Del's reaction, "You can't make the Feywild less random."
