Mindartis, Alathaea, Del, and Flitterbug (and anyone else tagging along) follow the abandoned path. As they go, they see it branches off in a few places, as if the giants also hit the few neighboring villages as well.
You reach the village and find...destruction. Houses have been knocked down, torn apart and trampled. The stone structure around the well has been smashed to bits and, you suspect, the stones are now mostly in the well. The mill wheel, and half the wall, has been torn off the mill and apparently thrown. You can see it sticking out of the remains of the upper floor of the blacksmith's shop. There is not a building undamaged, and some have been completely pushed over or burned to the ground.
You see nobody.

Del's tune becomes more somber This is what we expected, though, from Lady Athaea's recounting. And we were going to clear out the formorians and take the fight to the hags already, not as if we needed any further motivation to avenge. Still, heartbreaking to see. And, I wonder, with the 300-odd waiting at Thamasaille, how many are missing?

Del tries to be calm giving the bad news I fear the nearby villages are likewise damaged, Brother Feyord, given what the plants say and Sister Flitterbug saw. I think we track these giants and commit some vengeance and rescue - but given our foes' modus, rescue might come with a delay.
We can track the formorians, but guessing the victims are cubes somewhere, either there is another staging area besides the warehouse, or already built into the crystal maze.

The party heads back up the trail to the giants' abandoned camp and beyond. For those of you unused to the Feywild, it is an unsettling place, constantly changing and moving. Plants grow back suddenly. You can look away from a place briefly ad look back to find it completely changed. You hear strange noises--rustles, chattering, chuckling in the underbrush, but never catch sight of what makes the sounds. You travel for hours, but the sun never quite sets, and the moon never quite rises. The stars fade in and out of vision overhead. Behind you, the trail fades out of existence under new growth, as if the forest has only been preserving the giant path for discovery, waiting for you to follow it before swallowing it up again.
After what you think was probably a day's travel (hard to tell) the forest seems to change in character. The leaves cluster overhead as if to intentionally block out the light, and the unseen whispers in the underbrush become hostile and menacing. Brambles form across your path and clutch at your ankles. Unhealthy-looking plants snake across your path to hide holes and mudpits. You eventually come to a place where the brambles are so thickly woven between the trees that it is impossible to simply walk through them any more.
Ahead, you can hear noises in the distance, beyond the thorny barrier.

"Do we send in a scout?" Raven asks the others, as she draws them back a bit from the barrior ahead. "We can't simply walk through that, so we either need some magic to give us a way forward, or we need to cut our way through. Either way would likely be better if we knew what was up there waiting for us."
"You are our scout, aren't you?" Ethen asks with a frown, glancing from Raven to the barrior blocking their path. "I was thinking of someone a bit smaller, like either our pixie friend or our wizard's familiar." Raven says with a glance to Ethen. "Something that can get past those barbs without actually needing to force a path through them.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Flitterbug flies upward, where there are plenty of gaps between the tree branches and brambles to fly through. Just as she is about to zoom through a gap, a little shimmer in the air catches her eye, and she stops just before blundering into a nearly invisible spider's web. Realizing in time that the upper foliage is filled with lurking pixie-eaters and their snares, she returns to the ground and instead wriggles through the hostile and close-growing thorns, cutting through the smaller webs with her blade, though she does take 5 damage doing so. (Half damage, after inspiration boost to roll)
Inside, Flitterbug sees a large clearing, with giant huts around the perimeter. Beyond the huts, the Fomorians themselves sit around, loafing, gambling, fighting, cooking, and so on. At the center of the clearing stands an enormous tree, larger than Zanderfell's, even bigger than she remembers the Great Pixie Tree. It may have been beautiful once, but its leaves are turning dry and wilted and discolored. There are great holes in the ground by its roots, and the figures of Eladrin emerge regularly to stack armfuls of wood onto stacks standing nearby. Fomorian overseers bellow at them as they work, and from underground, you can hear the muffled noises of faraway sawing and chopping.
