Between the extra purse in Mara's hand and her suggestion, it's not hard for Dahvik to fill in the blanks. He deepens his bow slightly before straightening. "May the seeds of help you've planted bring Daggerford a harvest of peace," he says to Merovyna. To the saintly-sounding words he adds a roguish wink before turning and following the party out. "On to the good dwarf, then," he says once out in the open air. "We've got work to do."
Mara disperses the gold (50 apiece) to those who are with her to do as they wish. "I will silver my weapon with this, as I told Merovyna. Your share is yours to use as you like."
Mara walks back to the dwarven smithy. Assuming nothing happens on the way, she will put the gold in front of him and implore him to finish as quickly as possible (without sounding too pushy).
"Five days, he said," Dahvik reminds Mara. "And that girl is still missing." He removes a shield from a display - that buckler he'd been eyeing earlier - and brings it to the dwarf. "What ho, good smith?" he inquires genially. (OOC: I'm guessing we'll skip the haggling, as that might take five days, too, on PbP.) After the exchange he turns back to the paladin. "I'll not get mine silvered quite yet. Not unless we intend to head to Potter first, rather than Gillian's Hill, which I'd counsel against." He turns to the blood hunter. "Ellara, he does have that silver longsword ready to go. What do you think?"
Mulling over Dahvik's words, Mara agrees. "I will leave it here for the smith. I have javelins that should be okay for now." Not comfortable but seeing no other option, Mara hands over her weapon to Derval. "5 days then," and hands him 50 gold.
When they get to Derval’s, I would like for Lorian to have the longsword. High elves get proficiency and I don’t want to burn all my spell slots for one fight. But I do have cantrips, so if anyone else needs it, it’s fine
Ellara accepts the gold with a slightly dazed expression, she’s not used to seeing so much gold in one place. She considers having her own sword silvered, but doesn’t wish to be without her weapon for such a long time and so decides she will do so another day, maybe when she has something other than just a crossbow to fight with.

Frowning thoughtfully, the rogue draws a dagger from his sleeve and puts it on the counter. "Just in case...I'll get this one silvered, too, good smith," he requests. He cocks his head slightly and looks at Mara. "Are you any good with a longsword?" he inquires.
The paladin returns the rogue’s gaze. “Aye, I am trained in its use, however,” turning to glance at Lorian, “I think the elf desires the blade. In any case, I have my javelins. Speaking of which, I should purchase some more.”
[DM - Mara buys 10 javelins. I have already taken the amount out of her totals, added the javelins, and removed both the trident and all gold necessary from my inventory. Let me know if prices are different and I will adjust.]
Dahvik nods to the mage. "If you wish to purchase a longsword, you are free to do so. If you wish to purchase the silver longsword...it would take your entire allotment, from both Cadfrey and the temple. Though to be honest, if it comes to fighting lycanthropes, I would rather it be in the bloodhunter's hands." He turns his gaze to Ellara. "If you'd rather continue with your currently weapon, though, that is certainly understandable. But whatever you decide..." He pauses and looks at each of you in turn. "Whatever we do, we need to make haste. Now in addition to the girl from Gillian's Hill and young Arnold's plight, it seems we now have a missing Father Cadfrey...which certainly gives some gravitas to his theory. I believe we'll solve that mystery by solving the others. But I'd rather be out of Daggerford before the innkeep realizes there's no Father Cadfrey to pay our tab." He gives a wry smile at the last point.
Ellara considers the rogue’s words, drawing her blade and looking at it. “Perhaps a trade off?” She speaks uncertainly, “You may have my blade, Lorian, if I take the silver?”

[ To save time, all you want to do is fine. To silver a weapon you will need to pay the 50 gp for the material and leave the weapon there. If you want the silver longsword it's 60 gp. Normal weapons (buckler, javelins, standard weapons) can be purchased at 3/4 of the PHB ratings: it's normally higher prices than the PHB here at Derval's, but since you have previously rolled good with him, you get 3/4 of normal price, rounded down. ]
As business is being conducted in Derval's store and gearing up discussed among the party members, the front door of the smithy opens and in comes Father Cadfrey. He crosses the threshold looking back and muttering to himself "That'll do, that'll do. Good thing you remembered your knots, old boy." As he closes the door behind him and brings his gaze up in front of him and to the party, a smile crosses his face "Ah, so glad I found you all! I was really hoping I did not have to cross town again with those horses behind me." As he mentions the horses he disctractedly behnd him. Noticing the lack of understanding in your faces he quickly adds: "Right. I went back to the barracks to ask the captain if she could spare horses for all of us for our jurney. I suppose no one noticed? Anyway, they are outside, ready to ride when we are ready." Then, looking expectantly at the rest of the group "Are we ready?"
"Ho there priest! Well done! We thought you might have been lost in prayer," the paladin remarks to Cadfrey. Checking her equipment, Mara concludes she is ready. She will ensure that someone takes the silvered sword at the very least and, if necessary, will put some coin towards its purchase if no one has enough...
(Ellara doesn’t have the coin to buy the silver long sword, 5gp short, but will trade and accept Mara’s acceptance with a promise to pay her back if Lorian is happy to have her normal long sword.)

Father Cadfrey blushes slightly and straightens up at the compliment Mara gave him: "Thank you, I wasn't sure how many horses we needed so I took one each. I hope you all can ride? Surely you cannot be doing worse than me! Good thing these military horses are well trained."
After the last of the business with Derval is concluded Father Cadfrey claps his hands and says, in a tone that is way too cheerful for those in the party trained and used to adventuring "Well, shall we? It's past lunchtime by now but I suggest we get some food on the way!"
The rogue looks up in surprise as the young cleric returns, his expression brightening. "Excellent, Father Cadfey!" he exclaims. When he looks at the horses, though, his eyes seem a bit less enthusiastic, but his smile never falters. He scoops up his dagger from the countertop and secures his new buckler, embossed with an oak tree. Stepping carefully among the steeds, he picks the one that seems to him least likely to be troublesome. His attempt to mount the horse is clearly inexpert but successful nonetheless. He looks far more pleased with himself than he should. "Let's go find that girl," he says. With a wry smile he adds, "I hope you settled up at the inn, good Father."
Mara walks over to the horses and chooses one that catches her eye: a cream colored courser, looking to be nearly 17 hands high - a perfect fit for the tall female paladin. Mara removes most of the accoutrement from the horse, if any remains on it, referring to keep the horse simple and relatively free of man-made things. she mounts without issue, the horse is somewhat impetuous and after a few moments and some reassurance, the beast calms to her touch and voice. “Are we ready? I’d rather not press for Arnold’s attackers seeing as how the good smith just set to work.” Mara will wait for the others, envisioning the screams of her enemies as they beg for mercy, mercy that they did not afford her own family; mercy she will not offer...
