welcome, I am starting a new campaign. And I need you to join. Here’s the spark notes.
1. The Campaign will be in discord.
2. I’m looking for 4-8 players for 1-2 groups

5. While race is limited Class is open ended, anything official is allowed, as well as homebrew as long as I review it first.
6. Don’t worry about stats we’ll do em in discord once the party(s) is/are picked.

Backstory:
Taman's mother found sanctuary in a temple of knowledge when he was very young. His ability to read any language quickly had him apprenticed to a sage of hte temple. After many years of study he became an undisputed sage in his own right.
Description:
Taman has long white hair, white eyes, and a long white beard. he is slender and wiry.
we apparently made quite the first impression: my mother, a striking woman with eyes whiter than korinthian marble, and raven black hair, banging at the castle gate. i used to have Old Laerer tell me about that night all the time. how she appeared one moonless evening at the northeast walls. carrying nothing but an infant girl, and demanding to speak to the king. she said she had information he would want to hear. Laerer would always say people immediately loved her or hated her, never any in between. she was just that strong of a personality. Laerer loved to remember the horrified look on the arch-bishop's face upon first setting eyes on her. and i loved to hear him talk about it; he was, after all, one of the few people that would actually speak to me growing up.
It was the oddest thing, Laerer would muse- that a penniless woman in a tattered cloak talked her way into a private meeting with the king. no one actually knows what secrets she told him that first meeting, but he instituted an immediate change in tactics, and the war he had been loosing took a sudden turn. impressed with her insight the king took her as an adviser, much to the annoyance of his current counsel. under her guidance his reign was tremendously successful- lands were conquered and riches brought to the kingdom. she worked her way into a place of power at the capital. but the successes she helped bring about did not stop certain factions from distrusting and hating my mother very deeply. there was a number of entrenched nobility and clergy that spread rumors she was a witch that had enchanted the king.
and, as for me, i was the quiet child of the castle "witch." the other children used to say my eyes were cold like ice. or worse, white like the dead eyes of a rotting carcass. because of my odd appearance, and my mother's controversial position, i grew up surrounded by wealth but lacking companions; wandering the palaces' twisting corridors and great halls. i spent countless hours in the libraries especially. books don't judge you after all- they give their wisdom indiscriminately. during my childhood i studied languages, history, and arcana. and one day, deep in the shadows at the back of the palace library, i discovered an odd little book that seemed to call to me....
it's the strangest thing, this book. a nondescript small leather-bound tome. i still have it. and i still don't understand it. i've spent thousands of hours on it, but i can't seem to finish the thing. it's like, each time i pick it up, i just can't remember where i last left off? every time i put a book mark in, it slides out when i open it. i know i've folded down the corner of the page i was reading from before, but when i go to look for it, there's no folded page? i've started from the beginning countless times, and i remember some passages, but i can't ever place what's new and what i've already read before. i've dedicated days to finishing it, but i'm never able to. the only things i'm certain of is it's important, and it's mine.
the next pat of my story is when things went bad. when i was 14 the king became suddenly very ill. his health declined rapidly, and within a matter of days he was dead. the heir was not a supporter of my mother, and along with those that had always been against her, he accused her of murdering the king through witchcraft. they sought to kill her on the spot. i have been told that a fight took place. a number of paladins chased my mother to the roof tops. cornered and weakened, she made a declaration. she called out to one of the great old ones, and entreated this entity to protect me. then she stepped from the tower and plummeted to the streets below. it's odd, though- no one can seem to tell me what happened to her body. some people say she was taken and burned. some that she was buried at sea. but many eye-witnesses have told me they remember no body whatsoever. and no one is willing or able to tell me the name of the great one she invoked.
so that left me, a child at the court that had turned against my mother. it was decided that i was not guilty of the "treason" of my mother. i suppose the new counsel didn't want their first act to be the murder or exile of a child. in addition, none of them seemed interested in incurring the wrath of whatever entity my mother had invoked. their ruling was that i should be allowed to reside at the palace until 20. and so i continued my solitary studies in the library. Laerer was a librarian there, and became my only friend. most everyone else preferred to pretend i didn't exist.
after turning 20 i took off and for the couple last decades have been trying to learn more about my powers and this book i keep with me. my two goals are to learn everything about my book and to become strong enough to confront the people who murdered my mother.

Brask’s family was slaughtered along with his entire village when he was just a boy. He’s been on his own ever since. He doesn’t remember much of that day except his mother’s blood stained on his face from her covering him as she died. Being a boy alone in the forest, Brask learned how to survive on his own very quickly. When he finally found civilization, he was so untrusting, he resorted to thievery to survive. When he was caught pickpocketing a noble, he was sentenced to death. An elderly man in elegant robes offered instead to mentor Brask into a benefit society. The man, who only went by Groff, was a wizard and he tried teaching Brask his magic. Brask had a hard time grasping the technique but latched onto the pillars Groff was teaching him. After he was proficient with weapons and strategies, Brask swore to avenge his childhood tragedy. When he informed Groff of his trauma, Groff broke down and informed Brask that their mentorship had been an atonement for a mistake he had made 20 years prior. When Groff was practicing a new spell, he accidentally cast a madness spell on a swordsman who charged into the forest. When Groff had caught up to the swordsman, he found a village, slaughtered. The only survivor was a young boy. At this point in the story, In a fit of rage, Brask slashed Groff’s throat. Brask has been on the run ever since.
Brask is 5’9” with scraggly brown hair and blue eyes and weighs 170 lbs.
4. Galen’s mother was a noble lady of a kingdom. Views on his oddities made for an uphill battle, but his mother and he fought the good fight. Galen is a being of discipline who carved a swath through court, with charm and weapons in equal measure. That said, it still often left him isolated if respected.
5. Galen is 23. 5’10”, 160. He has carefully slicked back red hair, and white eyes. He wears a casual fitted suit. he’s 25, and of chaotic neutral alignment to start

4. Bargo is a soft young man, who has never experienced fighting in his life. As he grew up with his mother and her partner - a wealthy mercant. They had protected Bargo from any harm, and given him the best education money could provide including a great druid to teach the boy the sacred magic of the nature in wich he seemed to find comfort. Bargo is not physical fit, have never experienced hunger, and is very optimistic of most situations. Has a deep respect for nature and animals.
Because of my different looks, my family wanted to protect me from the people by keeping me inside our castle walls. I found peace inside our guarden, becoming friends with the birds and ocasional squirrel that came to visit. My family protected me and i always felt safe. On my 18'th nameday, i asked my father is he would take me with him on one of his travels, as i had grown very curious to the outside world. He agreed, and it was the best experience of my life. I remember leaving the castle, my mother was so proud of me. We sailed out on a big merchants ship and i could feel the waves under us, hear the dolphins in the water, the wind in my hair. I had never been so happy in my life. That trip really connected my fosterfather and I. Over the next few years he would continuosly bring me with him on his trips. A few times peasants would herass us because of my looks, but i thought nothing of it. I new that was the price to pay when leaving the castle. And almost any trouble could be handled with money or hired muscle. I never felt real danger. Of course most aristocrats behave when they talk to you, they wait untill they think you cant hear them to trashtalk you. But as i said, my father was a great merchant, and very respected. Nobody would dare lay a finger on me. I felt great, experiencing all this stuff, but i never really connected to people. Maybe they were afraid of me or my father. I once again found comfort in the nature and animals arround me, for they were always trustworthy. No shady schemes, politics or trashtalking. You could not pay a stray cat to be with you, you had to be good and respectful and gain its trust. Humans could learn a great deal from animals.
5. Bargo has green long hair that flow down to his shoulders. His clothes made from materials that shows his wealthy upcommings. He smells nice and is very clean. He is not fat, but he looks like he has never experienced manual labor. Growing up in court he has an aura of respect, his head held high, and always talk in a soft gentle voice. He would never show anger or distress. He wears a staff made from a rare tree in the elder forrest, it was given to him on his 18' nameday, from his druid teacher.
