A terrible rumbling sound could be heard from the village, like an earthquake, and the building began to shake.

"Ah, there it is."

"Yep," Sana agrees, unsheathing her sword. "There it is."

Not the brightest bulb in the cherry blossom tree, Yasei looks at Jill with a quizzical look on her face..."There what is?!"

"Trouble, which in this case takes the form of an eyestalk."

The largest structure, a house, in the village uprooted itself, grew thin organic appendages, and "stood" up, a massive eyeball mashing through the roof of the house, looking around. It found us, glared at us, and with thunderous footsteps, began making it's way to our location. It's eye glowed, staring us down as it approached.
